Im mainly a metal dude but whenever i tried some heavy backtrack i was chasing the track up,trying to shred which i was clearly not capable of at the time. Your backtracks helped me learn and savor the sound of each note (and relation to chords), I actually started developing my own vocabulary rather than running up and down the shapes hoping for something interesting to come out.
