I love Barred Owls as they are the most vocal of the owls. They are easily imitated, and their calls used to locate Spring Gobblers. They can also be imitated, having the Barred Owls call back to you and coming out to see who is invading their territory. Nice job capturing the calls of these beautiful birds.

Yes, I heard this last year. We have a Lotta trees around us. I’ve seen it all raccoons and God knows what. This was very odd and kind of scary sounding. When I first heard it, I just I was downstairs and I just went all my god. What is that no one upstairs and I kept listening to it and it was just amazing but it’s a very odd strange sound that they make I have to say.

This one was filmed with a Canon R5 and 600mm f4 lens, a couple clips mixed in were the 100-500mm lens

@@HarryCollinsPhotography Thank you! I’ve been trying to capture pictures of a Great Horned owl in AZ but the low evening light makes it very difficult. And trying to figure out it’s flying habits is not easy ether! But it sure is fun learning

It was a bit worse though, because it seemed like there was someone maybe the female or something that was doing something different it was horrendous about seven minutes. It was just so creepy.
