Now only 3 stars from that show are still alive. Also RIP Dennis Thomas from kool and the gang. Used to listen to their songs all the time back in the day and I remember when his daughter, Michelle Thomas from family matters, died and that hit me pretty hard because I liked her. RIP to both of them. 😔⚰⚰ I also remember robin williams because 2 days ago was the 7th anniversary of his death. RIP robin williams 😔⚰

      Well, For those of us who were spin-offs of the "Boomers"....
      I would have to think she's most memorable as Josephine in those Comet commercials than anything just as Virginia Christine, Nancy Walker, and Jan Miller (Mrs.Olsen/Foldgers, Rosie/Bounty, Jan Miner/Palmolive).
      Primetime spots and in color.
      Until the incorporation of "MeTV" and the likes thereof, I never knew a lot of those late 60s/early70s commercial actors had careers in Hollywood.
      Not too long ago, I saw Jane in an episode of "The Munsters"....RIP MAM!💜

      Well I'm a "boomer", and my intent was not to post a bio about Ms Withers, or that of others!
      But to just to add more interesting infomation about her beginning, & similarity to Shirley Temple. Obviously we're going to remember Jane as "Josephine the Plummer".
      But did you know that like Shirley Temple, dolls & paper dolls were also made & sold in Jane's likeness?

      @wmbrown6 3 года назад +1

      And like Jackie Coogan (another ex-child star whose most famous work to those of a certain age has to be as Uncle Fester on "The Addams Family" TV series), Ms. Withers is probably more well known in some areas for her Comet cleanser commercials where she played Josephine the plumber (as someone else mentioned). Interesting that she appeared in an episode of that show's rival . . .

    Jane Withers is the child actress best known for being the nemesis to the angelic Shirley Temple back in the 1930's and early 40's. She was in 38 films with a career that spanned over 60 years. In the 1960's and 70's she was famous for playing Josephine the Plumber in numerous Comet commercials. Later she lent her unique voice to a number of Disney animation films throughout the 1990's. She's also one of the few child actresses of her day who really seems to have enjoyed her time growing up during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her parents never squandered her money but instead wisely invested it . At the age of 21 they turned over to her all her earned assets as a child actress which is an equivalent by todays value of close to $3 million dollars. Not bad for a little kid who grew up during the Great Depression.

    Nooo. This is heartbreaking. My soul hurts more today. Markie and Trevor. Those two hurt! I remember watching Markie as a young girl, I wanted to be a lawyer because of her! I never became one, w autoimmune diseases/disorders got in the way. Trevor, he is only 3 years older than I am. He brought me laughter at some of the hardest times of my life. Both when my daughter died and when her father and I divorced because our daughters death was just too much.
    May all of these people rest in peace now. Sad. Just sad. I look forward to the days of star trek medicine, as long as getting there is done ETHICALLY! After having my bladder removed, I now know just how unethical drs can be!
