Hey man! I got Omega red and the rogue preorder. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the xmen line. I read mixed things and a bunch of people are saying mondo's quality control is bad. what would you say based on your figures?
They've been great, except for Rogue. She LOOKS great, but the arms are super fragile. Sorry for the delay!

If you can wait like 6 months I want to see if they announce a different version.
If you noticed they are all weird. Gambit is a timed edition. Omega red is a limited edition. These were the only editions offered.

Word on the street is they will release a regular edition (prob one with less accessories) to coincide with Rogue's timed limited release which is rumored to be dropping on valentine's day.
The biggest problem I have with Mondo is when the paint chips away when you move the joints. I've seen it in videos, but I do have BTAS from Mondo.
You get any paint chip on those? Because I haven't seen any on my X-Men yet. So far I've been really happy with these.

Just found out these existed today. Saw it in a RUclips thumbnail/MSN article. It's painful that I don't make my own money right now (long story), but even if I did, I couldn't justify the $200 price tag because...lots of reasons. The most expensive fandom things I have are my anime proplicas valued at 100 each and I have two. I'm sure the scalpers had a field day hocking the limited Rogue and Gambit variants. Boo! (Being a collecting fan is so expensive, even if it is fun.)
Thanks for the fun review! Can't wait to see more of your reviews + Rogue when/if you get her. Edit: I'm frustrated the joints are so stiff. I ruined one of my non-X-Men figures (Brooklyn from Gargoyles) because the paint was old and he's been through the ringer after boiling in water to loosen and accidentally breaking his leg (still not fixed). These things need to be more durable across companies! Edit: I know he's a highly sought after figure, but dang if Gambit isn't giving me "12-inch Mattel figure" vibes. I feel like the whole figure should look more polished and glossy, if just a little. The cartoon look is amazing, but he just looks kinda cheap to me, probably a combination of size and materials. There's so few 12-inch figures on the market, I believe. Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood. LOL.
😆😆 I swear the Gambit is nice! He has that like softer almost vinyl feel? But he is definitely a bit more limited with the coat and the single jointed elbows. But for sure they're all way too expensive. And I really don't like the way they do the Limited releases. A tiny window in the middle of a weekday? Do they hate money?! Sabertooth and the Omega Red I just got are the nicest ones so far tho. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Just saw the standard version on Sideshow & BBTS. Definitely going to pre order with SS. Just seeing these figures for the first time and most are sold out everywhere. And I’m not supporting eBay inflated prices. They’re already expensive. Amazon has Wolverine at a great price. I may just get him and Gambit and call it a day. Side note, Rogues face looks weird when I saw her for pre order on SS as well.
