    This may be a result of my old, tender age of 37, but to me Jackie's #1 moment of brilliance is his everlasting love for his wife, Helen, who is going through dementia.

      I was gonna say the way he stopped immediately after Cevert's passing because safety wasn't up to standard, and it showed his steadfast conviction... Yours is definitely better

      I didn't know about that, that's so sad. My grandfather suffered from dementia toward the end of his life so I know how hard that is. Respect to Jackie ❤️.

    Jackies drive at the Nurburgring in 68 still amazes me I mean he won by 4 minutes in the pouring rain 🌧 with large amounts of fog 🌫 on the most dangerous track in f1 whiles suffering from a broken wrist
    That performance alone is enough to say that Jackie is one of the greatest drivers of all time

    It is well known that Jackie Stewart is an Olympic class clay pigeon shot, I was told that Jackie arrived at The Ford Motor Company HQ at Brentwood Essex, for a business meeting, and asked after to be taken to a nearby shooting range for a bit of practice, not only did he hit every clay with the first barrel, but got the biggest parts of what was left, with the second barrel.

    Sir Jackie Stewart clearly is one of the best drivers in F1 history both On track and Off. Everything he did for the sport is what we now see today. The evolution of F1's safety all prioritised by Sir Jackie himself during his time. Especially on how he loved his friends in the sport and on how he overcame his dyslexia. Godspeed Sir Jackie!

    I met him once, genuinely a nice guy, asked what my name was, asked where I was travelling to (met him at the airport) and asked where abouts in Scotland I was from and seemed really interested about my story

      I believe that you are referring to 1968 (in the downpour). But he also won the GGP in 1973.
