The opening split screen sequence is so damn good
It's probably my favourite montage from the entire BrBa/BCS and there are some really strong contenders
@Eber D.C none of them have "Something stupid" as background music.
This was pretty much the point when BCS started showing off: the crew knew they were the best collection of talent on TV, so just go for it each and every week.
As a German, I appreciate that the workers are actually played by German actors and their dialogue sound authentic. And Mike's "Jungs, kommt runter!" was great.
But in breaking bad, the actors they chose to play mexican characters weren’t all played by Mexicans and their Spanish does not sound authentic at all. Props to better call Saul
@@omarreyes2219 That's why it's great hearing Lalo speak authentic Mexican Spanish. Also you can tell they actually have Mexican writers write the Spanish dialogue for the series as opposed to Breaking Bad where it sounded artificial.
@@Max25670 Interestingly enough, Lalo's actor was born and seemingly raised in Texas. He did spend a lot of time in the Mexican film industry before starring in American productions like BCS, though.
@@DovahFett if you’re born and raised in Texas, you’ll know what “athentic mexican spanish” is lmao. It’s a certain tongue that has some slang in it, BCS definitely has that
The actors that play Gus, Nacho, and Hector are not hispanic their spanish doesnt sound authentic they sound like tourists that studied Spanish in high school but never got the accent right.
The way Jimmy says “he’s a cop.” Lol he’s not mad, he’s just disappointed lol!

The fact that Vince Giligan and Peter Gould turned a side character that was mostly a comedic vessel into a deeply layered character is a testament to their skill as story tellers

Seeing this episode after how seeing what season 6 has morphed into, this episode is a monumental turning point in the show in hindsight

Finally, these guys reach the beginning of the amazing 4th quarter of Better Call Saul as Episode 4x8 introduces them to the true antagonist.

Remember how upset Kim was at Jimmy for fabricating evidence in order to exonerate a client? How far she's come since then.
She's gotten more flexible, but she's still got the line. She'll step right up to the line but she won't cross it. She won't fabricate evidence.

She wised up and realized the justice system is a joke. It treats people unfairly, wealthy people get privilege while people of lower socioeconomic status get shit on. She comes from a lower middle class family she doesnt come from a place of wealth.
25:27 I mean there isn't really an inherent difference between African American names and European names. Lots of African Americans do have European names, just like lots of Americans in general. Huell is a Welsh name and Babineaux is a French name. Both European. So I'm not too sure what distinction Rick is making. And yeah Murphy is originally an Irish name, but of course, it could easily be a white or a black person's name, like with Eddie Murphy as Aaron mentioned.
I think that is mostly due to freed slaves that did not have a family name or did not remember their family name, choosing from what was popular in their area. In the case of first names, it's more straightforward. They were replaced or "Christianized" to sound more like what you'd find in American society.

I think that following next episode it would be the best time for the guys to rewatch that Nacho/Lalo scene from Breaking Bad. I feel like it's too important to not know as it adds to the impact of these characters on Saul, and the crew haven't seen BB in a while.

No, they shouldn't. The tv show holds up on it self and explains everything with subtle hints. Whats good about this show is that it doesn't rely on people having to remember every little detail in BB
@@sebaynovuelve Sure, you can go without, but the guys HAVE watched Breaking Bad. The only reason they don't know is because their memory is failing them on that front.
I was just suggesting that they would enjoy it even more if they did remember. ;)
@@sebaynovuelve it kinda does tho. Yeah you technically don't need to know BB to enjoy BCS but there's so many references, connections, explanations etc. That knowing all the details from BB makes experiencing this show 100x better

Finally they get introduced to lalo next week!!!! One of the best characters of both series. This show has been great from start to finish but I think lalo officially elevated it to breaking bad level

PS- I never noticed (and have been watching the channel for 4 years- how much Rick looks like Jack O’Halloran- (“Non” is the original 1978 Superman:The Movie. Could be his son FFS.

It’s almost time for my antagonist character of the series to enter
I haven’t owned a video game console since the original Xbox came out when I was a child but I just had major surgery on my knee and will be at my house doing nothing for the next 3 to 4 months so I’m going to pull the plug and buy either a PS five or the newest Xbox, what do you guys think is the better system and what are two or three games that are worth the money that would keep me occupied for a while, genuinely asking anybody that is reading this ….
There is little to no noticeable difference between the consoles.
I predict there will be one more console generation then they will go completely in the cloud, as the internet gets faster, and the battle will be between the best cloud service. That's why xbox are buying up as many game devs and exclusives as they can. Xbox gamepass already has a huge lead over playstation. Microsoft also has one of the world's biggest cloud services so they will be able to offer better speeds and cheaper prices.
So personally I'd buy xbox and develop your gamertag, playstations future is not bright.
