Fun fact: All my wacky clickbait faces, for every thumbnail, are screencaps from that very episode. I just make dumb faces. Pick any of my videos and pause at a random frame. I guarantee I look like a moron.
I've decided, of my own volition, to remind you about Wondershare Filmora Go.

Okay powershell might be better that cmd, but bash ftw
Can you plz post a set by step on how you built this printer plz.

"Those filaments could find water on mars"
Pfffft, i love your jokes
I really think you need a 1:1 ratio of printers to filament types.
are you suggesting a dedicated printer for every type of filament? because that's the dumbest, most stupid, insane idea ever! no one would ever do that!.. I LIKE IT! DO IT!
I mean seriously, filament changes are so 2020. Really should have more than - not sure if colours count as different types.
@@frollard who's got time for that
If I only buy E3D Toolchangers, I can have a 1:4 ratio without ever having to unload a filament!
I realize I am 4 months late to the party, but that shoutout at 8:05 really caught me off-guard. When I found your channel back then, I knew I struck gold, so happy to see your channel grow this crazily, you totally deserve it!
his alliteration game is on a whole other level
don't you mean his alliteration game is almost angelic?
Annoyingly ambitious alliterations are an art I arguably abuse, although ardent afficionados argue that an appreciable amount of my alliterations are actually assonance.

As a 14 yo from germany i got *my* first printer (ender 3 v2 with bl touch) a few days ago. Im not really a beginner because my dad got his first printer (no name) when i was 7, but your videos helped me so much, its insane how much i learned about 3d printing in a few weeks, so.. thank you i guess haha
Corel pain. Brings back memories! Shoutout to your dad 👍
Why would you put a BL touch on a ender 3v2?
@@AlessioSangalli well, bed leveling lol
@@Xeder-uy3vf bed leveling on a E3v2 is trivial and done literally in 30 seconds. I donagainnb3d leveling after few months just to be sure or if I do general maintenance. Maybe in other style of printers a BLtouch is useful, but on a E3v2 I find it a complication.
@@AlessioSangalli for me it works really good and i do manual ped leveling only when i move around the printer and turn those wheels by accident or something. Its just really nice for me because i got a bundle with bltouch for the price of a normal 3pro so i couldnt really say no haha
LOL! I never talked you into these fans! 😅 I mentioned that they are total overkill and since then you wanted nothing else - should have known you better 🤣 Great video and I'm curious about the every-filament-2-video! Cheers 🍻
Can you please share a link to those fans ? I am interested.
What are these fans? I recently rattled my part cooling fan to death, a generic $2 5015; i replaced it with... i forget which model number it is, but it's a Sunon MagLev. It can do a good bit more air, it's more smoother, but it was a proper menace to get it to actually run, i put an LCL filter on it, and had to tune the PWM base frequency in firmware, but now it runs. Maybe i put a little much capacitance on it, it takes a while to calm down. Then the cold end fan died as well, and i replaced it with something from my stash, but maybe i'll get another Sunon MagLev for that too, looking for suggestions anyway!
The inductors i used... are 0.3mH 3.8 Ohm and the capacitor was i think 470uF or something that order of magnitude, i basically constructed the LCL more by feel rather than by science, which isn't my preferred ways of doing things, oh who am i kidding, i just grabbed the things that were in my line of sight and combined them, that's what i always end up doing.
@@SianaGearz they are EBM Papst RLF 35-8/14N2 fans and very expensive

This is amazing. A while back I commented on a video Makers Muse made and said an updated video, with all the info over the years is necessary and here we are.
You made it perfectly and you even explained where you got the info from like CNC Kitchen. Yet apparently you not a 3D printing channel xD
That might just be the most insane custom built printer I've seen yet. Next step is a dual motion system with cartesian AND delta so you can print MM and ridiculously fast
Don’t trust Wondershare or Filmora! Check out Daniel Batale’s video about their refusal to honor their license agreement until pressured to do so.

Awesome to see a 3D printing video on this "Not a 3D Printing Channel" channel. Alliteration King
Ayyyyy Microcenter! Amazing printer setup dude. Top notch writing too. So good. Just everything.
For the Concrete block - I also got a 60x60 laundry machine rubber mat that is meant to absorb vibrations. Cut it up and covered both sides with it.
the concrete has a rough surface, so realistically your printer doen't lay fully flat on it - adding padding ontop provides better contact to the block
this channel inspired me to pick up a 3D printer a few weeks ago. thanks for the great content
dude i have nothing witty to say other than your channel is plain friggin awesome. I whole heartedly appreciate your content. You're going to hit a mill subscriber in 2022 I know it.
Sadly no. Look at the day :(

Man I was there for that Air Fryer explosion. First stream I'd stopped in for and only for a few minutes 😂
Glad it worked out in the end, though!
"So download it now on your favourite bathroom entertainment device" I hear, while sitting on The Throne doing The Business
I hope to get a 3d printer someday, I was gonna get one for Christmas last year but then my car got stolen so I had to buy a new/used car. It's crazy because I was working with a 3d printer in high school in 2009 and haven't been able to touch one since.
This Content is so addicting to watch!
It’s not a 3d printing channel it’s a comedy channel.
Great video! I got a Prusa a few weeks ago from your recommendation and while I struggled to get it built (I should have gotten some better tools at the start), it is serving me well. The vibrations are real though and I'm going to embark on a quest to buy a concrete slab. Thanks for your inspiration, I've learned lots and been given motivation to make some stuff.
I don't really care about the projects anymore I'm just laughing out load haha
Well done!!!
I remember when you live streamed building the 3S+...and I said you did a wire backwards...and you said no I didn’t...and I said step 17 yellow bullet...and you said yes I did. I felt engaged.

Thank you for your Videos. I am on day 10 of entering the 3D printing world.

That tool changer printer terrifies me. I love it
Now that you've got SLA and FDM printers, here's a question to keep you up at night: which makes stronger parts?
(Also I loved the joke about nylon finding water on Mars)
In most cases, it's FDM. There's a limit to how thicc you can make the walls of a resin print, because UV light needs to penetrate in to cure it. Basically, all resin prints have 0% infill, so it's not a fair fight.
For smaller parts, you can get way better performance from high-strength resins. Thin FDM elements tend to be flimsy, but resin's perfect layer adhesion pays off here.
The fact that he linked the air fryer he blew up in the product links lmao
Share in my misery
You can cool it with the enclosure temp above 100degC. Just run high percentage of Ethylene Glycol through an automotive HVAC heater core with fan, a small plastic coolant reservoir (ala VW beetle or equivalent) and pressurize it to around 1ATM. Could operate at a temp around 120-135degC.
If space is an issue or you don’t want hot air blowing melting the paint off the walls of VoidStar Labs, then setup a heat exchanger in an ice chest or something similar.
Be sure to recalibrate for elevation.

I just found your channel when someone in /r/functionalprint mentioned gridfinity. I watched that video. I like your jokes, your attitude, and your appearance reminds me of jason matzoukas. Subscribed!
Ok, seeing you with that exact dehumidifier and dumping out into the toilet made me feel like you were filming me in my house. Love that dehumidifier.
It works really well!
TBH We all know companies try to pull this, its not just 3D printer companies.
What we really need to stop is their awful track record of terrible customer support and them propping up their broken product by relying on the buyers to make their own communities to fix the issues.
This is literally the worst problem that effects the most amount of people. The crappiest companies often got such a large marketshare it forces buyers to purchase inherently flawed products only because the user base is large and there will be enough people to help you fix its issues. It gives no incentive for companies (or new ones) to start making good quality products, because it will never be as profitable. This entire hobby is a gigantic race to the bottom and the consumers are always the ones harmed in the end. We cant keep supporting the cheapest printer companies because they make the bare minimum product, we have to all raise our standards to get reliable products, or we all suffer. We all have to be way more critical.
Gotta love 3D-printers!
Recently got myself a Prusa I3 MK3S myself
I have absolutely no clue how to do the wizard wiring wierdness you wrangle so well, but because of you and your printer videos I now have a small resin printer.
It is unfortunately in my bedroom because my apartment is tiny as hell, so the noxious fumes will need to be locked in my bedroom until I can hold my breath, shield my eyes, and open a window into the wisconsin winter so my prints don't fail due to the sudden drop in temp. On the bright side, nearly free 40k armies.

I'm shocked you haven't plumbed a drain into that dehumidifier
I have a feeling this guy loves 3D-printing.
I learned a better printer base is a 16x12" granite cutting board from amazon, as heavy as the concrete paver but not as bulky. What makes it better is epoxying the printer frame to it, that way any force that would have caused a vibration has to be strong enough to get the whole printer and granite slab moving, so less vibrations.
Ummm...no. Sorry, a granite cutting board will not be anywhere near as heavy as the concrete paver. Unless, of course, you buy a granite surface plate, but those are super expensive, so I assume that's not what you meant.
Just so someone doesn't go down this path and face disappointment, let's do the math...
The granite cutting boards I'm seeing on Amazon (for example) are typically 12"x16"x0.5".
Using density info from a stone supplier for black granite, that works out to about 10lbs, even if we ignore that the board isn't exactly that big.
The concrete paver Zack is using appears to be a standard 16"x16"x2" paver. Using info from a paver company, that comes out to 39lbs.
Slight difference. ;)
To be clear, the granite cutting board WILL help, just not as much, and it costs ~$40 vs ~$5 for the paver.
Also also, 12" of width won't be enough for many current printer models.
Talks about how the carpet padding and cement block reduces shakes and improves print quality, while showing a benchy with an obvious layer gap.... hmmm ok.
Layer gaps don't have anything to do with print shaking, they're caused by feed issues. The mod is still worth it, even though it doesn't completely fix every problem I could ever have forever instantly.
Big up to the MakerBot Replicator 2. Still hold up in 2022!
"The brass parts looks like a urinal in Chernobyl"

"Free from the insidious shadow of corporate influence-" instant segue to insidious corporate influence. 😂
Clearly, he owns an air fryer
Despite the flood disaster video being an obvious inflection point to discuss dehumidifiers .....THIS is the episode to watch for gleaming tidbits on tackling tricky two-hydrogen and one-oxygen trials and tribulations.....I had to search back for it ....but I'm replicating Zach's closet de-humidor myself ... this summer has been brutally humid and all filaments must move to both dry boxes (from dry bags) but also a dramatically dry-er doored detent in my domicile ....a room of their own .....ie old coat closet.
I have looked into the solid state dehumidifiers but I need faster results than they can give .....I will get a few eventually to play with but for now ...the oversized capacity unit and resulting heat which I will "recycle" to keep said closet toasty and also-dry should do the trick. ( since compressor type dehumidifiers are un-vented AC units with mods ).
Viva-la-filaments .... minimize the moisture gents and gentle ladies!
I think, despite perceptions that Colorado is 'dry', @ZachFreedman is uniquely qualified to talk about humidity management ....just an idea for an "easy" future video??
