Amy would have given anything to have you and youtube when I was young.. I missed out on so much in life because I was over weight. I did not go anywhere hardly ever because I was so worried I would not fit on a ride or a chair. I am so thankful that you are on here and address these problems. So maybe heavy people will not miss out on life. Thank you so much
As someone who was formerly over 400lbs I really commend and thank you for speaking so candidly about this. There were so many things I was scared to do or even ask about when I was over weight and this would have helped me. Even tho I don’t worry about these things now as I’ve lost the weight I still think of these things often. The mentality is still there! Great video as always Amy!
Your precious heart and soul are bigger than any size issues. Amazing video. I am so impressed by you. And I'm an old man!!! I've been around!!!! Keep cruising. Keep videoing. Keep spreading your special brand of love and joy. Thank you, dear one.
I think I love you!! Your honesty and openness about cruising when you're fat is so refreshing! My hubby (350) and I (235) are both overweight and love cruising. The only issue we've ever had was my hubs having to squeeze into the theater seats and both of us having to squeeze into one bus seat. We do the same thing re: getting to the excursion early and talking to the driver or asking ahead of time for the front seats. The only thing I hate is the looks from other passengers when we eat in the buffet and they feel the need to look and see what's on our plate and whisper to each other. I know it says more about them than us when they act like jerks, but I still want to tell them to myob LOL I hope we have the pleasure of bumping into you on a ship or excursion someday. Happy cruising! Xo
I am happy you made this, I have been over 300 on all the cruises I have been on and have enjoyed myself. The last cruise on carnival we just had to request to be moved in the dining room from a booth to a table, my brother is big and tall. Please go and have a good time don’t let the weight stop you from living
I just want to say thank you Amy. This video is amazing and so brave. I just want you to know how much you helped. Your channel is just amazing. The things you talk about are real and travel is for everyone and you should never be afraid to explore and you show people that. GREAT JOB AND KEEP THE VIDEOS GOING.
I'm 50 years young 5ft6in 230lbs. I can party lay by a pool drink my self happy and if somebody doesn't like me being overweight(I'm losing weight)I've lost 40lbs. In a year. So I'm working on it.
Amy thank you for always keeping it real when it comes to weight and anxiety. I was in a really bad place depression wise a few years ago and your videos were one of the only things I had to look forward to. Now I’m on medicine and feeling more like myself. When I travel or go out of my comfort zone I always think about how positive and confident you are. I can’t thank you enough. 🖤
Thank you ever so much for doing this video, your honesty and openness about this topic is greatly appreciated. I’m 5’5 and 230, I call myself “fluffy”! I have bad knees due to Barrel Racing and Pole Racing back when I was younger, have calcium buildup and spurs in my knees so it was good to hear the lifeboat drill etc... I walk with knee braces and a cane. So your a gem and a sweetheart for doing this for us all! Luv ya Amy!!!
I use a wheelchair, the cabins and showers are huge compared to a normal cabin to allow for wetroom and wheelchairs/equipment, and as I was alone in a double room the room steward moved everything around to give me even more chair room. Crew will help give you a push if going your way around the ship and they went and got food for us at the buffet including the fact that the first morning I had pancakes and fruit the waiter remembered that and when he greeted us the following morning told me what pancakes and fruit was available without me even asking. The only issue I had was due to not thinking about weather conditions and we were in the bay of biscay in a storm with 35 ft waves and it was hard to control where I was going in my chair I had a few unplanned 'adventures' at speed from one side of the ship to the other, I learnt very quickly how to judge the wave size and put my brakes on so I didn't go flying across the ship and once out of the storm I had no issue with rolling the wrong way. I could walk with sticks back then but found I could barely stand at sea because I have balance issues. It was with royal Caribbean and they even had trips on wheelchair adapted coaches and minibuses, and I think because there was only a few of us we had very friendly personal tours, on one trip we were running late, the tour guide said "they told me to make sure I gave you a good tour so thats our excuse and they can't leave without you because you're on a tour" which was hilarious and I think we made it back on board with 5 minutes to spare so all was well, the theaters had wheelchair areas but the cinema didn't but I just sat in the aisle and nobody worried about it in the main dining room they just move chairs out the way for you and the family pools have hoists so nowhere was not wheelchair accessible apart from adult only pools and the crazy golf.
You keep it soooo real. I love it! I'm almost done watching your Canada land and sea vlogs. I want to cruise out of New York and it is so nice to actually see how it is first hand and what it is like. Real footage of things is so much more helpful than reading about things without actually seeing what is going on and what is around.
Very thoughtful of you to make this video. I always admire that you are so fit in spite of your weight! I love cruising and last cruise I got a scooter. It was so great to get around in! Love your videos!
Amy you have opened a subject about cruising that I have not yet heard anyone approach. Good explanations given and I want to thank you for speaking about being overweight and cruising. I myself have gone through the "my butt won't fit in the airplane seat without hurting" and at that time I was about 70lbs over weight. Thank you.
Great video! I think the best thing about a cruise is that you'll most likely never see any of the people again so who cares what they think about me or you. Plus, everyone is much more relaxed and in vacation mode so much less judgmental, usually. Even though I'm an average weight/height male I find the bathrooms/showers in the cabins tight on all ships.
Thank you Amy, you are such a lady. You address the subject that I have wondered about for a few years. I suffer from a bad back and I know my limits, but I am also curvy. Again I am glad you approached all you did in this video.
Great video...nobody should ever delay having a wonderful time on a cruise because they don't think they are the "correct" size. It is good, though, to have tips like these in order to feel more secure. Kudos to you for broaching this subject!!
This was so awesome. Thank you for owning your own beautiful body. You are a treasure. This was not only great info, but inspiring and confidence building. I am grateful for you.
Thank you for a great video. You & your sister amaze me with all you do. We do cruises all the time - & don't usually gain weight. We tend to eat healthy - go to dining room & stay out of the buffet. Seats are sometimes difficult to fit in & I can't stand tour buses but we try not to let that discourage us.
Thank you Amy!! We love you and your family because you are who you are. 27 thousand subscribed to your channel!! I have been having trouble with my weight since I was 12. Up and down. I am currently at 220 at my heaviest. I live 60 miles north of you and I used to love swimming at DeLeon Springs State Park. Then a group of 5 girls came to me and yelled together "put some clothes on!!" The elderly park ranger thought it was funny and it could have been his idea. I never went back except once with my Church youth group.
I’m 5’8 and 260 I went on a cruise in May and another before. It was carnival and mainly I was uncomfortable in the lounge chairs but they have benches and like round booths if u rather do that. Blame my big booty on that one. Toilet is kinda weird but I think that’s just cause of the weird seat or lack there of not my size necessarily. Guys get out there and be you! Fuck everyone else. Do you.
I'm 300 and have a great time on cruises. Love Royal Caribbean Radiance class because of the stairs to the pool. And did the deluxe stingray tour because they had solid stairs instead of a ladder. Got five cruises booked. Plan on flying soon. Business class or first only. Mostly because I am claustrophobic. LOL
Re: flying... my husband and I are both overweight and started flying first class exclusively a couple years ago. Yes, it costs a lot more, but we get free baggage (2 bags each, up to 70lbs on American) priority line in the TSA line, free beverages onboard, free meals, etc. If/when you decide to fly, I highly recommend first/business class. Its great that you have a "don't care" attitude. I'm slowly getting there the older I get. Maybe by the time i'm 90 i won't give a shit what people think.
I'm not a skinny gal, but more plus sized big type, I feel that a person of any size can cruise. In reality, we are all made differently and there is nothing wrong with that. Cruising is fun and for everyone, so come on let's all take a cruise of our choice. Be happy and have fun, in life.
Thank you for doing this! I did have an issue on one of the DCL "legacy" ships (think it might have been the Wonder, not sure) back in late 2000's, maybe they've changed something since then? The split bathroom was terrible, had to shower the entire week with the showerhead jammed into the side of my head, and the shower curtain plastered on my butt (went there as soon as water was turned on). HATED that bathroom - made me feel like a bull in a china shop, and MUCH bigger than I was. Still get that 'ugh" feeling when I think about it. Had no problems on the NCL Dawn, in a mini suite. Thanx again for candidly handling a potentially delicate subject!
I went on Holland America at 300 plus pounds and had no problems only on the tour bus in one of the Alaskan ports which used a bus with fixed armrests which was tight but manageable
I hate the ladders in the pools. I've had issues with my feet and ankles all my life. They just hurt me so bad. If they have ladders I won't go on them.
Excelllent video. I watch all your videos and was always curious on why you never used the water slides, specially on the Disney Cruise, where they seem to be so nice. Are there any weight restrictions on those? Space fitting issues? or you simply don't like them?
I’m not fat, I’m fluffy 😂🤣😂🤣. I used to weigh 400, but now 272, still to big for me because a lot of my weight is in my bum and thighs. I hope that I fit in theater seats on a cruise 🚢. Do they rent scooters on cruise ships or do you have to get it forefront somewhere else? New subscriber. 💕
Thanks Amy! I love cruising. Love all your vlogs! Very helpful! My question is the water slide with the tube?? I'm afraid I'll get stuck so haven't done one yet! lol
This is so helpful. I have my first cruise planned in March and I've been so nervous about going. I don't go out hardly anymore as every time I do some one seems to always make fun of me. I'm 5'10 and fat so I definitely stand out. I limit myself all the time because of that. Do you experience this much on a cruise? I am only taking my son on this cruise so I will most likely be alone the whole time. Looks like I might be spending all my time in my room with room service. 😐 Truly appreciate your videos.
While this is a sensitive topic for some, it's the raw reality. This can be used for a purpose of setting a goal to lose weight to be able to comfortably enjoy all of the perks of taking a cruise. It is also a safety issue too. If you're too overweight, it may cause issues if the order to abandon ship is made. Someone may not be able to get to safety quickly in time if they're obese per say. When taking a cruise, one must take into consideration that their weight may or may not cause inconvenience to not only themselves but fellow passengers. Cruise lines can only be but so accomodating..
Hey, I am overweight, but my legs and ankles swelled so bad, so it was uncomfortable to walk. I want to cruise again but I dont want to have that again. I got this really bad rash too. My mom is skinny, she went on a cruise too, and that happened to her, so I dont think its an overweight thing, but I have no idea what it could be. 24 off the ship it was gone.
Where you in a climate that was not like yours at home. If you are from a more northern state them it could have been the heat if you went to a southern state and the heat cause it.
I would love to join one of your group cruises but im over weight also and can not walk for very far even standing to long im in pain. how do you keep so fit and walk every where if i could do that i would love to go on a cruise with you guys the group cruises look so fun.
If a person was that big that they could fit in the regular shower couldn't they just get an accessible room? Just thinking that would be a possibility.
I'm 55 and have gotten a little big 6ft 245 lbs about 30 lbs overweight but I don't care I was in the USAF for 20 yrs and I had to maintain weight and physical standards now my job don't care what I weigh but I like to go on cruises and I've never had a problem with any of the places on the ship and I can get off the ship and walk all day with my 25 year old daughter and hit the bars and party my ass off !! I still swim and dive and work a full time job !! point is if you are convinced your fat then your fat and you accept that !! I've convinced myself I'm just big !! its all in the head !! but I do agree about the showers they are a little small I don't know about the seating in the theater all I do is hang in the cassino and cassino bar and drink cocktails all nite
I am overweight and this really helped me! Can you give me the link to patron? Would love to donate for you to keep making this videos. What is that link to patron??? I want to donate for you too guys to keep making these videos!!!!!LOVE YOU GUYS❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
One of my husband’s friends had a medical emergency on a cruise ship based on his size and inactivity on the ship. He had a blockage in his leg and had to be lifted off on a medical helicopter. Obviously, his family didn’t fit on the helicopter so he was dealing with an emergency alone. I think they do accommodate people of all body sizes, but there are real, serious issues to consider as well. Love your videos- just wanted to mention this possible concern.
My friend just asked this question - Question for people who go on cruises. Do FAT people go on cruises? I'm FAT and I want to know if I'll fit in LOL- and i found your video. so thank you for this.

Great honest discussion about real issues. You've helped many people get the answers they need.
Thanks Amy for being so candid. I love that you and your are so down to earth.
The best thing about your channel has always been how real and down to earth you are! Thank you for all of these great informative videos.
MORNING....You're so considerate for doing this for people who worry about this ❤❤❤❤😘
You keep it soooo real. I love it! I'm almost done watching your Canada land and sea vlogs. I want to cruise out of New York and it is so nice to actually see how it is first hand and what it is like. Real footage of things is so much more helpful than reading about things without actually seeing what is going on and what is around.
We just cruised on the Crown Princess last week. Those vlogs start tomorrow!!
We love how open you are on subjects that people might feel uncomfortable about. One of the reasons we enjoy watching your vids!
Amy, Thank you so much. This will help a lot of people. You are so encouraging! Thank you and god bless.
Thank you.
Amy, you are the best!!! These "too fat" videos are so encouraging! Thank you.
Bless you for being frank and straight forward. Whatever body type, no one should stop enjoying life.
Amy you are great for talking about this issue that alot of people will not thank you for all the information

Great video! I think the best thing about a cruise is that you'll most likely never see any of the people again so who cares what they think about me or you. Plus, everyone is much more relaxed and in vacation mode so much less judgmental, usually. Even though I'm an average weight/height male I find the bathrooms/showers in the cabins tight on all ships.
thank you so much for sharing all this info. so helpful.
Karl von Richthofen oh, that just burns me up! I’m so sorry!😡
I’m 5’8 and 260 I went on a cruise in May and another before. It was carnival and mainly I was uncomfortable in the lounge chairs but they have benches and like round booths if u rather do that. Thanks Amy those where extremely important tips I never considered the steps in and out the water of pools or oceans
Thank you! Everything you need to know but were afraid to ask. This was great.
I am an new subscriber and fairly new to cruising. I am going on my second cruise on Norwegian. I am over weight. Watching this video was great. Thank you for doing this. I feel like because I am over weight I can't enjoy the places we go to. But I can't let that hold me back.
My concern with my next crusie is we have 4 people going (my parents, me and my daughter) and my parents are going to take the bed, my daughter is going to take the top bunk, which means i am getting below the bunk. does the couch pull out at all?
It depends on the cabin. Some quads have two uppers and two lowers. Some cabins have two lowers, one upper and one pullout.
Sea Cruisers thank you for your response. We will be on the Norwegian escape. We are on the 13th deck. I’ve been trying to find a room tour of our room but couldn’t find anything, but found your vlogs!!
As a bigger cruiser,my biggest worry was that the lifejacket would fit and i'd look an idiot at muster, but I have been tied in successfully each time. Was also a little worried that sun loungers will collapse- they never have done!. re excursions, my best tip is to take a taxi tour. If there are 2 of you they even work out cheaper than the ships tour, you are not rushed, plenty more room than a bus seat, you see more, the driver will stop wherever you want. HO-Ho buses are also good. TheSaltydog46 is u feel comfortable walking or being in a wheelchair go now

Heading on a cruise this Sunday. Thanks for the info on the stingray excursion. I’ve been wondering if I’ll be able to get back on the boat!
Thank you so much for making this video. 💕
I love your attitude happy cruising
Thank you for making this video. So kind of you and helpful.
What a wonderful vlog....to a subject rarely addressed. I subscribed to your channel because of this vlog. Real, informative, and transparent.....
Excellent vlog. Once you know what to expect and how to adjust everything is easier and possible.
i cant wait to go on the navigator of the seas in a month!!
Amy
You may be over weight
But You are beautiful!

TFS..this is great information in general not just for plus size travelers. I really appreciate it!

You're sitting near the Terrace Pool on Princess... my favorite place to relax! I can't wait for the vlogs to start!!!!
It was our favorite spot on the ship!! Vlogs of the Crown Princess start tomorrow!! :)
YAY! I'm so excited! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cruises with us! :)
Yaaaaaaaaassssssss Lawd
Thank you for this information
sometimes the public stalls are too narrow for my 370 frame, so sometimes i have to find a handicap or a family bathroom stall
I'm a size 26/28 and would love to go on my first cruise. This is a great video and I'm glad you did one. Let's me know what to expect.
Great video I always wondered about these things.
Im not big body but this video still helped me im handicapped snd was wondering about geting around with a scooter so this helped thanks
I hate the ladders in the pools. I've had issues with my feet and ankles all my life. They just hurt me so bad. If they have ladders I won't go on them.

A million Thanks!
How about life jackets? Trouble fitting??
Nope!
In St. Thomas you also got stairs or bus up to Bluebeards Castle/Hotel
I have a question; do you see people on cruises by themselves? how do you think that would be - to go alone?
Yes, a lot & they all seem to love it and have a great time!! Norwegian is particularly nice for this on the ships that feature solo cabins :)
Jen P my dad went on HAL alone . From the posts on his FB it appears he had a great time :)
I do everything alone and plan to go on a cruise by myself. It'll be fabulous!
Beauty is from within. Be proud.
What I don't like is the sitting in the theater and other areas are so low to the ground. If you have knee problems it aggrivates those problems
Thanks for the video, as always your channel is awesome. Btw some chairs are just uncomfortable on cruise ships no matter what size your are.
Thanks for posting this. God bless you always.
very kind of you to make this candid video
Was this the last minute cruise?
I love your realness!!!!
Are you on the Crown Princess? How do you like it?
Thanks Amy! I love cruising. Love all your vlogs! Very helpful! My question is the water slide with the tube?? I'm afraid I'll get stuck so haven't done one yet! lol
That is a fear I have too! Probably wouldn't happen though :)
@@SeaCruisers My best friend and I are going on carnival ecstasy in May and they have one. I may try..I'll let you know! 😋😉
Amanda Newton get out there and enjoy your cruise girl! Cruising is amazing and I doubt you’ll have a problem.
Funny...only issue I have id Lido Paris Buffet dining room...chairs have arms, a little snug/uncomfortable.
Great info thanks!
Great video Amy
Thanks for sharing with us 💕 your videos
Hey, I am overweight, but my legs and ankles swelled so bad, so it was uncomfortable to walk. I want to cruise again but I dont want to have that again. I got this really bad rash too. My mom is skinny, she went on a cruise too, and that happened to her, so I dont think its an overweight thing, but I have no idea what it could be. 24 off the ship it was gone.
Where you in a climate that was not like yours at home. If you are from a more northern state them it could have been the heat if you went to a southern state and the heat cause it.
I have lived in florida for 3 years when i went to the caribbean
All carnival ships have ladders. Good info.
I would love to join one of your group cruises but im over weight also and can not walk for very far even standing to long im in pain. how do you keep so fit and walk every where if i could do that i would love to go on a cruise with you guys the group cruises look so fun.
very honest
You made this for me thank you
Great tips!
Lol we're not fat, we're Fluffy! Besides, it has been said that we have to have a bigger frame to hold all the personality we have inside!!!
Awesome points. Many are also good for the disabled community as well.
Nice of you to do :)
If a person was that big that they could fit in the regular shower couldn't they just get an accessible room? Just thinking that would be a possibility.
This is awesome
Amy you're so cool

One of my husband’s friends had a medical emergency on a cruise ship based on his size and inactivity on the ship. He had a blockage in his leg and had to be lifted off on a medical helicopter. Obviously, his family didn’t fit on the helicopter so he was dealing with an emergency alone.
I think they do accommodate people of all body sizes, but there are real, serious issues to consider as well.
Love your videos- just wanted to mention this possible concern.
Y
"Pooh sized"....that's cute
