When Dave said “and why wouldn’t they” I saw that Dave smile that takes me through 30+ years of this man’s genius. The greatest.
Dave was responsible for my sleep deprivation from the age of 12 until he moved to the 11:30 spot at CBS.
I wasn't even in my teens but I would stay up until 1:30 am to watch every last minunte of that show. And God forbid Costas had someone interesting on - that was another 30 minutes of sleep lost.
100% He's still sharp as a tack.

This was my favorite episode so far. Loved the nostalgia of the props, Dave twice mentioning Paul, and, of course, the rousing rendition of "Midnight And The Kitties Are Sleeping ..." I'd love a video tour of Barbara's storage unit.
Love that they still have and are still getting laughs out of all of these old props.
One joke that has lasted with me is the small-print warning label on Newman's Own: "May contain trace amounts of Newman's own."
As much as I miss the Late Show, I'm so glad to see him doing comedy without all the pressure.
Barbara and Dave make a good team. I'd like to see them do more of these good news/ bad news segments.
This world needs more Dave, and Barbara too

It's entirely unwatchable now. To think that the most known bits going on in late night now are Carpool Karaoke and LipSync battle shows how far it has fallen.
I agree Dave was great and I watched the show pretty religiously in the 80s and 90s when I was still a young man. Also helps that I'm from Indianapolis and now live in the house one block over for more Dave grew up, the neighborhood is still cool! Anyway while Dave was definitely excellent I think today's late night house are at least equal to him including especially Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel! 😁
Dave is great and my all time favorite, but I DO find quality and entertainment in Kimmel & Colbert. Not Dave for sure, but they have "some" quality shows.

When I watch the reruns I always like when the camera would show Barbara because Dave was questioning whatever...that is so cool that y'all kept props and then to boot remember what the joke was behind the prop. I worked in Royal Oak at a record store around the time they took Dr. K's Van O' Death away from him. He took to cruisin' around in some long boat of a car where he looked through the steering wheel to drive. One day he almost "assisted" my demise as he just missed hitting me as I was walking across Main St.

Reminds me of when Paul Newman did a little thing on the show from in the audience and yells out, "Where the Hell are the Singin' Cats?" I started watching Dave starting with the morning show before Late Night. It was pre-VCR's (for me anyway) and was on at 10 AM CST. I was 20 years old. I had never seen such a thing, Daytime TV back then was Game Shows and Soap Operas with a few talk shows. My favorite thing later on was Pea Boy! PEAS!

Remember Dave's favorite,fried bologna sandwich, or maybe holiday faire. I always enjoyed how Dave had a way of "taking over" when he was working with a culinary guest star. Good to see that your show is still on Barbara.♥️
Oh no, one of my biggest fears about time Dave was that eventually your upper front teeth would change. One of my favorite things about your show was when you would have a guest entertainer on (like Norm MAC-Donald), he would crack you up; thus creating you to bare those trade-mark teeth! Still love you though, and really miss Late Night. Signed, fellow CT person.❤
