This was my favorite episode so far. Loved the nostalgia of the props, Dave twice mentioning Paul, and, of course, the rousing rendition of "Midnight And The Kitties Are Sleeping ..." I'd love a video tour of Barbara's storage unit.

I agree Dave was great and I watched the show pretty religiously in the 80s and 90s when I was still a young man. Also helps that I'm from Indianapolis and now live in the house one block over for more Dave grew up, the neighborhood is still cool! Anyway while Dave was definitely excellent I think today's late night house are at least equal to him including especially Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel! 😁
Dave is great and my all time favorite, but I DO find quality and entertainment in Kimmel & Colbert. Not Dave for sure, but they have "some" quality shows.

When I watch the reruns I always like when the camera would show Barbara because Dave was questioning whatever...that is so cool that y'all kept props and then to boot remember what the joke was behind the prop. I worked in Royal Oak at a record store around the time they took Dr. K's Van O' Death away from him. He took to cruisin' around in some long boat of a car where he looked through the steering wheel to drive. One day he almost "assisted" my demise as he just missed hitting me as I was walking across Main St.

Reminds me of when Paul Newman did a little thing on the show from in the audience and yells out, "Where the Hell are the Singin' Cats?" I started watching Dave starting with the morning show before Late Night. It was pre-VCR's (for me anyway) and was on at 10 AM CST. I was 20 years old. I had never seen such a thing, Daytime TV back then was Game Shows and Soap Operas with a few talk shows. My favorite thing later on was Pea Boy! PEAS!

Watching this put off the next big step in my life. I'm about to check out various news sites. It's time to brave watching the Mid Term election early results online. It's still too early for final counts.
But there's one to celebrate for sure. In MA we just elected our1st female Governor & likely the 1st out Lesbian Governor in the US...as far as I know. And Boston elected their 1st Female & Asian Mayor. Outside of MA., is there hope we can have a few years of well functioning government or will liberals be blocked at every turn for the next few years ?
