    Like you say, I think it'll have a broad appeal. I've had mine for 2 months now and really enjoying it. It sort of reminds me of a grown up and modern version of the old Royal Enfield Crusader 250, from the 60s ...... a proper looking motorbike :). As for fuel economy, I'm getting between 104 and 112mpg truly amazing! I've had a few bikes over the years, the biggest was a ZZR 1400 (198 Bhp) but this is just as much fun, in a different way. Rode the Interceptor about 3 years ago and really liked that too, again, a proper looking bike IMO. Great review, thank you. Cheers Phil

      @@Lanes-Explorer5733 Hi Peter, shouldn't that be '200%'? You've got 2 Hunters now :) Are they both going well and do they both feel exactly the same?

      @@PAGallagher Ha ha yes Phil I suppose it should 👍👍
      If possible I love them more as they get run in and I ride further afield. Unlike the Meteor which used to give me shoulder and back ache at around 60 miles these Hunters are still comfortable after nearly 100 - which is as far as I've done in one ride, so far. Riding position is just right for me. How about you?

    • @PAGallagher
      @PAGallagher Год назад +1

      @@Lanes-Explorer5733 Yes, I'm really liking mine, it's all run in now. I've done just over 1500 miles so far and, like you, 100 miles is about the furthest ride I've done. Apart from "old age" aches and pains, it's a really comfortable riding position for me. I know the novelty will wear off but, for the time being, I check my mpg, with some accuracy, every time I fill up and the figures are remarkable. Admittedly, I haven't used full throttle yet and 60mph is about the fastest I've been, briefly, but that's just my style of riding and it suits the Hunter just fine. Apart from all that, I think it's a stunning looking bike! All we need now, Peter, is some settled warmer riding weather🤞😊

    I went for the version with the blue and white tank. A hint of modern industrial design makes this bike look like a resto-mod custom build, but straight off the shop floor. Incredibly agile and great handling bike. I put Hagon progressives on the back and run it on Metzler Karoo Street tires, giving it a bit of a scrambler vibe. Absolutely perfect for exploring all those tiny single track back roads so common in the West of Ireland, where I live. I love this bike.

    Was lent one of these when I took my Classic 350 in for a service, rather like it. It feels just a little bit naughty, but keeping my beautiful Classic.

    Great bike. The Meteor's footpegs are too far forward. I just don't like the cruising ride position. I'd pick the Classic over the Meteor but the styling is just a bit too '60s for my taste. The Hunter is more 70s/80s in styling which is when I got around on two wheels exclusively. The re-vamped frame and wheels sounds more fun too. I think this will be a winner.

    Value for money id imagine that looked after they would be a hardy bike, its appealing to a 60 year old or younger riders who love retro styling , i love it being air cooled

    7:31 Easy to prize that side panel off, pop that seat open and get to the tracker, what happened to good old sturdy locking seats like on my old Honda’s, well done to Enfield anyway for still building bike shaped bikes that are almost good value for money, almost, starting to creep up a bit now on some models. Think I got out of the grumpy side of the bed this morning 😂

    Yes rear shocks are way too stiff. The clutch is smooth, it has a very narrow engagement point however. Both levers are far from the grips and I have big hands. The foot controls are too far forward for the sporty nature of the bike. I always find myself placing my riding boots with toes on the foot pegs (actually you did the same when sitting on the bike) Two problems, braking and changing gears requires re positioning of my feet. When in the cruising position, my left foot hits the exhaust. Otherwise its a great bike.

    • @rhiannonstudios

      I’ve heard the front brake is crap so you have to do most of the braking with the rear is that right ?

    • @pawelwolski1316
      @pawelwolski1316 Год назад

      @@rhiannonstudios No, the front brake is not bad at all. I think the older models front master cylinders were not that good. I did purchase some ECB pads, they had stronger "ultimate" braking but the initial/mid feeling was not as good as the oem pads, so oem is on the bike. It's the very narrow clutch engagement that I am not a fan of.

    I love this bike's looks and cost but at 20hp it is at least 12hp short of where it needs to be - it needs to just kiss 100 mph so it can cruise at motorway speed - a but more travel on the rear would be nice

    This bike is really good with a big problem. 20HP only. Most of its customers will go to the competitors dealerships.
