Wade made the cuts, all the off ball movements and despite the slight misfit , it worked. If Westbrook and lebron can figure out a good balance, and he can understand that in the clutch the ball HAS to be in lebron's hand, then I can see this working. He can control more of the offense when Bron is taking a breather. If he's gonna chuck and 40 fter and brick it with 30 seconds to go then it's over for the lakers

      The actual 'age' premise is a moot point ... The real issue is 'health' ? ... lf lebron is healthy at 45 , he'll be a factor ... Probably not a dominating factor , but able to contribute 'IF' Healthy ... This team has been designed to weather the 82gm-attrition-storm ... With so many seasoned experienced players , NO ONE should be playing over 25-30mins/gm during the reg/season (of course there are exceptions , but those should be few & far between ... insignificant enough NOT to be a problem ...) ... Which is a Brilliant design , considering their limitations to go after younger talent in free-agency & the draft ... They have totally maximized their potential considering the constricting parameters they were working within ... GO L A QUEST FOR 🏆#18 👏👏👏👏👏👏

      What Acho is saying is, the older we get, the easier it is to get injured. And that is definitely true. Now that I'm 38, I have to stretch before working out. I know from personal experience that not doing it will get me injured now. Even at 30 I didn't have to stretch. Do you feel that's true for you too, or you still feel young and healthy?

      Definetly the older you get the more careful you have to be, that’s why I said health. They have to make sure their bodies are well trained and treated before the season. I believe the Lakers brought Russ cause he can win you a lot of games in the regular season. ( Mr Trip Dub) so that AD and Bron can take games off during the season so they can stay well rested for the playoffs. The vets are gonna come in and play their roles. They don’t have to over do themselves everyone knows what their role is and plus we got some young players which is good. A mix of young and old. All we need is more 3-D wings

    funny that the guy who started out calling his companion ignorant then proceeds to make the most ignorant arguments. The Lakers age does not give them an advantage. Their collective talent and experience gives them the advantage. It's the age that has the potential to "catch up with them". To use his own race analogy, a runner might have superior speed. That will give him an advantage in the beginning of the race. But maybe his opponent has superior stamina, so he is able to pass him in a longer race. So it was his speed that gave him the advantage, but it was his stamina that caught up to him. The thing that catches up to you doesn't have to be the thing that gives you the advantage.

    • @medmuse_
      @medmuse_ 3 года назад

      I think his point is that the top teams in the west that they are competing against now all have significant recent playoff experience, so the composure and experience the vets on the lakers have doesn’t necessarily give them an advantage.

      5 are over 35, 3 are 32 or 33, 3 relatively young players between 20 and 26 and AD in his prime at 28. This team is not even keel and the only player trully in his prime is the always injured AD. Last year the Lakers had an 'experienced' team too and it got them kicked out of the 1st round of the playoffs because of health.
      So in short, age is a big factor for this team in the sense that age comes with declining health.

    One of the keys to our Lakers winning will come down to Frank Vogel's rotation, he's going to have to learn to trust his bench more and spread those minutes out in the regular season, so the main guys won't be beat up come playoff time
