I use small dry bags to separate items in my pack. I use a bigger pack bag though for just Incase I plan on a multi day hunt. Can’t afford multiple pack bags.. good info on your method of light and fast setup.
Thanks Corey. Makes me feel a little more normal with how light my pack is. I see a lot of guys on here and looks like their packs are north of 25-30 pounds.
Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful to see what others have paired down as their essentials. My load is similar except I carry a well stocked first aid kit which includes water tablets, pain relief & emergency blanket. I also have added a lightweight silnylon tarp; just in case.
Anyone know what bow hook that is? Exo keeps saying it isn’t made anymore, but I’d like to try and find it anyway. I’ve googled for a bow hook and have only found some sub-par options. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
All of our pack bags separate from the frame, allowing you to carry the meat between the bag and the frame. With this design you get the best load-hauling performance by having the heaviest load close to your back, and your gear is kept separated from the meat, allowing you to keep it clean and not to worry about running out of room.
@@ExoMtnGear I see a business opportunity here! Exo bow hook accessory? I have your sling for dark walking but this hook would be great!Just received my k3 4800 from the Black Friday sale and so far I’m loving it. Thanks!
Hi Corey, great pack set up and love the hook idea. Questions I have is about your stabilizer. What is it and why so long? What's your maximum range? I realize accuracy is everything and for you it must be worth to have. I'm a bit of a klutz and I'd get it caught on everything. Lol!!
We do not include a hook with our packs, and the hook that Corey uses is no longer made. If you Google around for "belt bow hook" you will see some options.
That bow hook is great! Never heard of these. Gotta get one.

The bow hook is cool. One thing I don't hunt without is my bow holster. It really weighs zilch but can make a long wait on a bull a whole lot better.

That'd be me. But, my 85mm Razor spotter rides in the pack 90% of the time.
You can make your pack even lighter by carrying a gallon and a half of powdered water. 🤙🏽

Very helpful, thank you. I like that the lip balm made it into the "essentials kit." Maybe Corey has a soft side after all.
I was thinking were to keep my bro calls wish the bugle tube had a compartment, the hook idea is brilliant
Think you need to do an update, also with what foods you carry and why.. you know sent the arrow incident!!
Nice job with the video! I like the bow hook idea! Thanks for taking the time!
Thanks Cory. I just dug out my hook and added it to my EXO 3500.
What brand of hook is that?
Corey, where do you get that hook on your pack belt to carry your bow?
I've been wondering the same thing.
Awesome video! Really interesting to me as a day hunter with the Exo 2000. Thanks Corey!!!
You need a bigger stabilizer on that bow. Maybe one big enough to club an elk on the head with 😄

maybe a dumb question: where do you put all that stuff when you're hiking the meat out?

Where would one find that bow hook? And does it attach to the waist belt of the pack or your pants?

Mi amigos, google tarantula deluxe bow hook. About 15 shipped. Don’t know if that’s what Mr. Jacobsen is using but it should be close enough.
Umm....more details on that bow hook please? That's brilliant.
