    This is the first train Indian railways launched back in I suppose 2018 .
    It was kind of experimental for the first time in India and now there are 2.0 Vance Bharat trains which are better in quality and comfort.
    I do agree that the maintenance of the trains can be not up to the mark and considering the old tracks not supporting the trains capability of reaching 180kmph .
    But India is already working on some amazing trains and upgrading railway networks including bullet trains and rapid transport .
    I hope your journey will be way better in future back in India.
    👍✌️

    Hi mate. Very good video, interesting journey. I assume there are slower, cheaper trains between the two as well - as well as flights for significantly more! Shame about the seat back, but good that food was included - though you're a braver man than me for the meat option! Definitely good to see so many trains and locomotives, and seeing the condition of some other stock working, it seems likely that most of those you saw would be on active duty. Thanks for showing us this part of the world.

    I did an escorted rail tour of India back in 2017 so before that 'high speed' train had been launched. We did Delhi - Shimla and Delhi - Agra on the train and 'Chair Class' was the top end of things then. The thing that stuck with me was a serious suspension problem. There were parts of the journey where you'd be properly bouncing around in your seat. I guess they have begun to replace some of their old rolling stock now? Our local guide said not to touch any of the food on the trains. I liked India but I dont know if I'd want to go back...many more places on the bucket list. Safe travels!

    Congrats on becoming one of the 8 billion people to use Indian railways every year Mark! The 1% man, btw, is apparently Rizwan Sajan, a property developer in Dubai with 12M+ youtube subscribers! Why he's advertised on Indian trains is anyone's guess. It looked like a tiring journey, but at least you didn't have to travel on the roof I suppose! Interestingly, the train can't exceed 68mph (mainly because of poor track and congestion), and the average speed is only 45mph.

      Yes, I agree. You can in practice train it from Perth in WA to Cairns in QLD WITH a side trip to Darwin! But is is all rather pricey and Australia does warrant more than two weeks not just for trains but for travel and touring in general. If you do decide to cover some of the country's rail network you will almost inevitably come through Adelaide as the southern hub. If you do, you have a place to stay in Adelaide in our house by the sea :-) @@LetsMakeaTrip Paul in Oz.

    You need to travel on the roof to get the authentic experience of Indian railways! Seriously, when the tickets are so cheap I'd always go for the best seats available.

    • @LetsMakeaTrip
      @LetsMakeaTrip  11 месяцев назад +1

      When I was younger, I’d have definitely travelled on the roof but yep, this did me though if available I would’ve chosen EC class yes 👍

      You cannot travel on roof top nowadays in India unfortunately. Almost all lines are electrified. 😂

    Hi Mark. Well what a fantastic video in India. I take my hat off to u. No I don't fancy India, the train looked hot, smelly, uncomfortable and I don't like curry. Best I stay in Norfolk. Was that your son with u. Hope u got home safely and had a proper meal and shower. Take care. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk

      Cheers guys, yes it was definitely an experience I would say (for both of us). A few more ‘relaxing’ videos to come from Malaysia which is where I went to next. Thanks for the comment 😊👍

      It is fully air-conditioned, how is that hot and stuffy in anyway? Unfortunately, it looks rundown because of the rough usage.
