I stopped using filters about 6yrs ago when I realized they were gradually warping my expectations for my real face. I don't want to need surgery or constant facials/chemical peels to look like the face I present online. To each their own, but I think they do more harm than good.
I enjoy your honesty on the make up apps. I use them to a certain extent. If I can't make it so it looks like how I wear makeup in real life, I'm not into it. I'm disabled and it makes life easier. The lipstick is always real though, the apps don't do me justice.
Look honest transparency, I went down a rabbit hole on the internet on talc powder and was nervous ucanbe had asbestos in it. Hit upon your channel. You seem super genuine. If face tuning is your worst ‘“sin,” I would not worry about it. You are doing okay. Look at this video. You are on you tube with no make up. Sometimes stuff like that is just fun. It’s not necessarily about changing you. You’re just playing with an app essentially. Anyway, that’s my take on it. But you do what you feel is best for you either way. You are the only one that can answer that question. I have really enjoyed your videos thus far and your style. Good luck with your journey.

All I can do is laugh 😂 cause you have no idea how perfect you are without makeup. Every single girl out there is insecure about something. It’s deep and it’s been happening since the beginning of time. Do what ever you want Anwen. It’s an excellent idea to use a makeup app. I can’t see anything wrong with it. Before all these apps I used to use photoshop or adjust the lighting to decrease my lines. I stopped taking selfies a few years ago cause I couldn’t be bothered as my depression got bad. The crazy thing is I didn't even notice. So that says we are getting used to aiming for perfection. You don't need it (not that anyone does) but I don't think you see the beautiful woman we all see. I have a channel as well and don't use any apps, mostly bc I can barely find the time to film and edit a damn thumbnail in the first place 😂

I've never used an app like this because I'm scared it would make me feel bad about the real me. I don't use filters either unless theyre something toy funny and obviously fake. I've found Instagram scary because of all the tuned people and content on there tbh.
