Yeah those Blue Point reversible ratcheting wrenches are pretty bulky on the box end. So are Williams ones.

I think the wider jaw opening is because they have a non-slip grip feature. I have a set from Facom which look identical and have a concave shape to the jaw which grips the flats of the nut as it rotates.

But that no slip feature does rounds off bolts sometimes so if it’s an important job I’ll use the snap on 😂
