I get glad when I see another enthusiast giddy about their tool hauls. we as men deserve something to be excited about, and it's going to good use anyway, so it's 2 birds with one stone.
As a mechanic with about 20k in tools. This is a good house kit for sure. Those pry bars are terrible tho be careful using them. The handles will just snap off with too much pressure. Husky makes some good ones for a similar price. And as far as sockets go when I first started out I used Pittsburg. Upgraded them as time went on. But still use them at home and have yet to have one break. They are cheap and get the job done. Just try and find some that don’t skip sizes. CAT also makes sockets that are made from snap on. You can get a 8-19 mm set for around 60 bucks. Snap on sockets for a fraction of the price. Cool video keep it up.
Thanks for the advice! I'm not a huge fan of these pry bars so bar, I want something with a strike cap so I will probably pick up those ones made by Husky. Will also check out those CAT rebranded snap on sockets!
@@gosteazy I have been working as a diesel mechanic for a while now. I started out using those husky pry bars, they are awesome and hold up great! Would recommend.

There is nothing wrong with Dewalt products. I have them at home and Milwaukee at work ( the company paid for). Stick with Dewalt. You've already got a good collection.
Cool. Rivet some 18in magnetic rails along the inside of the sides on the bottom shelf. You can then store all your cans on the bottom, and the rails will hold them in place.

Milwaukee has a much better catalog of 12 and 18 volt tools. However most of it comes down to personal preference and which battery system you are committed to. If you plan on switching it would be better sooner rather than later and still keep your dewalts as backup or donate to a trade school. Hearing this talk of throwing away tools, saying you dont need multiples, or "Upgrading" from DeWalt to Milwaukee . . . You funny, you should be a comedian. In all seriousness, I know DeWalt isn't the brand you normally see in a mechanics arsenal. In fact, it's kind of rare. But there are people out there. Their Impact Wrenches are actually the strongest pound-for-pound, and I personally absolutely adore their little DCF921 Atomic Impact, which is ridiculously strong for it's size, though their cordless ratchet game is very lackluster compared to Milwaukee; the two they have are decent, but red has the M12 line with various lengths and sizes for small spaces and versatility, as well as being one of only two brands that make a side-impact, the other being Ridgid.
full time tech here. the quin master socket sets are more than adequate for anything you'll do at home i've had mine now for about 7 months and they all 1/4 3/8 and 1/2in are holding up fine except the ones that i'm constantly dropping on concrete. the chrome is starting to fail on those but it's purely my fault. rarely do i need a socket that they don't have in them and the ones they don't i can usually get at with other tools. the icon stuff is nice and haven't had any breakages yet which i can't say about my snapon tools. had to replace "warranty" my 1/4 in swivel head slim dual head ratchet.
I like the Quinn master bit socket set, will get that soon. Seems Quinn is taking over the baseline collection of hand tools that Pittsburg used to dominate.
You'll absolutely need those bit sockets. I'd look up bit master set. I love gearwrench tools, which BTW is what I'd suggest for wrench and socket replacement. Low cost high quality
Save those 3/8 drive hex/torque bits, will may find some really stuck bolts with that head that you will need to use your 3/8 drive long handle ratchet to break loose, also DeWALT is really upping there game with their mechanic tools, & the amount of tools they have in the 12v line, at cheaper prices & I like them better for some things.
Love seeing the new generation of mechanics excited about their tools and storage. Great starter collection. Before you know it youll have 10's of thousands in tools like us old guys. Also I highly recommend the Ernst wrench organizers as well as their socket trays. Great video
Very cool setup, congratulations! I got the gen 2 5 drawer box in the spring, instantly filled it up and now I'm looking at the 56" cabinet! Gonna save this 5 drawer, filled with basics to give my son when he's old enough
As nice as those 5 drawer carts are, they fill up fast LOL. I have an old US General 44" combo unit that's overfilled with tools, and need to get a 56 or 72 inch combo here soon....the 44" combo I've had since 2002, its still in great condition, the only issue is its dirty because it sits on my carport rather than in a nice enclosed garage or shop....other than that its still a great unit, probably will end up in the barn to store all the tools I use out there along with all the extra pins, clips, etc. for the tractor.
I have owned and used multiple different brands of impact and non impact sockets. The best bang for your buck in my opinion is Sunex sockets. They dont skip sizes for the most part and I believe have a lifetime warranty on them as well, could be wrong on the warranty. I bought the 1/2" shallow impact set after I bought my snap-on deep set and do not regret them. Just a bit of experience if you look at getting new sockets.
I have one as well, great tool cart....I also have an old US General 44" combo unit from 2002, and its overstuffed with tools, you gotta dig for stuff....so I need to upgrade to a 56 or 72 inch here soon I think so I don't spend most of my time digging around for tools.
You didn't show it, but the Icon ratchet in the bit set can also be used as a T-handle, which is a great feature! Also, I prefer the rubbery plastic wrench holder (I have the same brand) because you can take the whole set of wrenches to where you're working, when you're not sure what sizes you need. Don't forget there are some great tool sales this weekend if you want to grab that new set of sockets or wrenches. Finally, a good use for the old tools that won't go in the cart is tossing them in a tool roll in your trunk. You have them in an emergency and when you need another 19mm wrench it's easy to grab.
Any crafts man stuff can be warranted at any time. I always look for them at yard sales and thrift stores I’ll take them to Lowe’s and exchange for a brand new one.
Nice set-up! Oil and clean some of your old tools. They will last you for a long time. Keep your new ones oiled and cleaned up, in 30 years you will be happy! Upgrade to Hercules, BTW!
If you are looking to keep those swivel sockets orderly at the moment, I've seen some people pull the pins out of the hinges and just use the bottom of the case.
When you put those sockets on the rail , put them “ upside down “ as in the end that goes on the ratchet faces the sky if you will , hopefully that makes sense lol
Nice kit, that Knipex especially looks mint, need to get myself a set of those. A word of warning is stay away from the fixed head Icons. They have severally dropped the Quality Control on them and are having a ton of issues with locking up. I bought the 3/8 one and it took 3 ratchets to get a semi decent one. They used to include a wave washer to press the drive gear down to prevent it, but they pretty much just stopped including them. Also take apart your current ratchets and put some SuperLube in there. Lots of problems with them coming dry from the factory, which happened to my fixed 3/8’s. And be super careful taking them apart, the torx screws are very low quality and strip very easy and they dump way to much loctite on them. I had to step on mine and put all my body weight on it to keep it from stripping taking the screws out. The flex heads are the way to go with Icon in its current situation. Its probably not worth it to you to switch from Dewalt to Milwaukee, but I would recommend the M12 Fuel Stubby, i have the Gen 1 250 ft lb 3/8 version. The new one with 550 ft lbs at the same price is pretty crazy and if you can find it bundled with a battery it would probably be a really nice tool to have.
My icon ratchets have been fine so far, all my flex heads have the washer. I think mostly the standard ratchets have had the QC issues. However, if I do find issues with them I'll be sure to warranty them
@@gosteazy Super easy, all you do is hand them the ratchet and they tell you to go get another one and if its not busy your in and out in about 3-4 minutes. One thing I will give them lots of credit for is the warranty stuff is a breeze.
You will now be amazed at how quickly you will fill that up and need more tool storage space. The Dewalt tools are great, don’t be brand shamed. And do not get rid of the torx and hex bits from the old set, they will come in handy
Yep, that tool cart will be filled real quick. I never thought I'd fill up my 44" combo unit I got in 2002, yeah, its overstuffed with tools, if you need something you gotta dig through it to find anything....its been overfilled with tools for several years now, and the consequences of that is...tools get set here, there, and everywhere...so you gotta go hunting around for stuff in multiple places...not fun when you just want to get a job done. A 56 or 72 inch combo unit is definitely needed soon.
Yo glad you are enjoying your new box. Been a mechanic for going on 5 years professionally now diy long before that. Flip your sockets upside down for those holders so they go all the way down. When you invest in sockets get Icon for your 3/8 needs. 1/4 i recommend quinn been using them in the field for a few years now and have yet to break one. All of my 1/2 comes from tekton they make quality impact sockets. Snap on lovers will tell you they make the best ratchet,(i own and use a snap on 3/8 all the time) personally i love gear wrenches they are quality and a great bang for your buck. Other then that the only thing i saw that you were missing is a good set of crimpers. Id personally go with Klein if you dont want to get the snap on version. If you want any other advise on tools to buy or anything of the sort just hit me up I have been a german tech mostly bmw for most of my career now.
Hey man great advice thank you. I bought some proper socket organizers, the kind I can remove and take with me to the car. As for gear wrench, I've heard great things about what they offer so something I'll have to try out. I love tekton sockets, mostly because they come with the organizer already. When I buy more sockets, I'll buy from tekton. I'll definitely reach out if I need any more advice, appreciate your comment
I’ve never understood why people do that, by the time you buy 2, 5 drawers you could have just got the full bank to start for $480. The size difference is ridiculous, 6,900 cu in (x2) vs 18,700 cu in for the full bank. Also a taller top at 7” for long handle pry bars so you can close the lid. The 5 drawer is good for the price but when you start buying 2 because you ran out of storage you should have planned ahead and just got the full bank.
@@billyboyd418 A lot of reasons for building a 10 drawer cart. When you build a 10 drawer, you will have an additional tool cart, you have a convenient space to store jack stands and larger tools, while also providing a comfortable work surface on top. When placed side by side (cart and the toolbox), it creates an extended work table for added functionality. You cannot work comfortably on the 10 drawer box because it is too tall.
@@billyboyd418 Full bank cart is $600...and not on sale nearly as often it seems. $280 for the 5 drawer cart x2 is still a bit cheaper....and you end up with 10 drawers in 1 cart in the end...plus depending on how you do it, you end up with 2 carts, 1 with all the drawers in it, the 2nd with just the top section with the flip up lid, and a wide open space under it for larger item storage. Yep, in the end regardless what you do you are going to need a much larger tool chest in the 56-72 inch size LOL.....don't take long to fill these boxes, you see the empty space in that new box, and quickly find stuff to fill it up.
I have the series 2 of that 5 drawer cart in Orange. Holds all my tools for building marine engines from GM crate motors. Use DeWalt power tools also. I have Hercules 20V and Quinn Master mechanic set for 5 acre homestead.
Keep those socket bits on a small cheap rail. You'll need those one day, guaranteed. You never buy a box for now, buy for later. Why people are getting these carts instead of full bottom boxes is beyond my comprehension. It takes up the same amount of floor space as a full bottom box with fewer drawers for storage and no work top. You'll outgrow that in no time. Hell, your plier drawer is already full with that organizer in it. One old mans opinion, I guess. Stay off the tool trucks, and you'll do fine. Good wrenching to ya...
Magnet holder is supposed to go the other way around and you bolt it down or use self tappers. I put mine in the back of the top tray on the outside of the toolbox. It catches nuts and bolts if I didn’t see them when opening up the top. I can’t also just a wrench or the tools im using for a job on it and not worry about them falling off. You can also use it as a magnetic socket rail right in the box. Otherwise this is basically the same exact way I organized my us generals box lol.
I’m a student at a college so I have a Matco discount ngl some of the icon stuff are great yah some ppl might say I should have not bought Matco but for what I’m paying so of the sockets/ wrenches are way cheaper then icon or the rebrand manufacturers
I'm pretty sure most tools sold by Matco are rebranded. You're really paying for the hassle free warranty that comes with buying tools off a truck. That's why I like HF, another avenue for hassle free return
Nice haul. Don’t throw tools out. Also some things are worth getting at HF and some aren’t. Those pry bars are one of the things that aren’t. Also. Those dewalt tools are great. Don’t update to Milwaukee just to get Milwaukee. I have both and I reach for my dewalt way more often. Also I’ve never had to warranty my dewalt stuff. Milwaukee I’ve had to warranty multiple tools and some more than once.
This reminds me of the first tool cart i purchased, i have since bought a 52inch box but now im running out of space between my two, when i upgrade i plan on building a 72 inch icon box because im not one of the technicians that dont buy into the snap on hype i believe in spending money on tools i just dont think i need to go into thousands of dollars of debt to be a pro
Great setup for a small home garage. I have the larger 42" box, but that's mostly because I'm super anal about organizing. I have all my sockets lying down in kaizen foam, with each position labeled so if anything is missing and doesn't make it back to the toolbox I can see immediately and track it down.
Great choice going with knipex for pliers. Check out tekton, if you've never head of them. I tend to go with them over icon for most stuff. Same or slightly more expensive and a lot better quality.
Oh yes, thinking of upgrading the big pry bar to one that allows the lid to close... maybe one with a strike cap. I think ICON as well as Husky makes a good set
im glad you posted this video, very informative i actually just started working at a tire shop although i am the main tech for suspension and alignments, im gonna need my own tool box soon and ive been looking into those roller cart ones. conveniently theres a harbor freight across the street might have to get one
They are worth it for sure! If you see yourself becoming a mechanic for the long haul, try finding the slightly bigger 6-Drawer, Full-Bank Service Carts used on facebook. I found one the other day for $400 barely used. I would also join a harbor freight facebook group, they always post coupons and deals in there and can save you a ton of money. Since you'll be working on mostly tires and suspension I'd recommend ICON ratchets, Pittsburg sockets (impact and regular), and save up for some Milwaukee power tools. Should set you up for most jobs you'll encounter, good luck!
Agreed! Most of my recent hand tool purchases have been Tekton. Although, I haven't needed to use the warranty yet, the fact that you just send them a pic and they send you a new tool is amazing. My closest Harbor Freight is 30 minutes away.
@bluescoobywagon yea and hf copied the TEKTON socket sets but one or two warranty trips cancel out the savings plus hf ask for my ID and checked if I purchased a ratchet before warranty so no ID no tool no proof no warranty at least that is how mine is and corporate said that is policy so after that I started buying TEKTON and had to warranty out something I broke I just typed OOPS! With a photo and arrived in the mail no ID will ship to any address I give them so I could be on a out of town job and have it sent to me and the warranty is to whoever has the tool !!!!!!!
@@chriscalderin6677 I've heard it heavily depends which HF you go to and try and warranty stuff. I've heard people getting hassles like yourself, also heard people go in and immediately get a new version of what they broke, no questions asked, no proof of purchase. I've even heard people going in and getting one socket or one piece out of a set swapped, it really depends where you go I guess.
@@bluescoobywagon I love how tektons sockets come with the tool organizers already. Also hint hint wink wink, I'll be using a Tekton product to convert one of my icon tools in an upcoming post.
@gosteazy I did visit another store out of town in the country almost that was nicer I am in a busy city north of dallas I get it but so so glad I went with TEKTON because I was about to buy half if not everything in the socket isle at harborfreight for another company box but fortunately I broke a 45 dollar ratchet a day before and discovered I can't send a gopher great timing because I never tried hf warranty before and I got ducked
I wouldn’t “upgrade” to Milwaukee. Dewalt makes great tools. They make the best impacts on the market, ex: their most powerful impact is way more powerful than milwaukees, and you already have the batteries. Just eventually broaden your selection of dewalt 20v, maybe get m12 stuff to compliment if you want Milwaukee but you got something good there
I currently have the Dewalt 900 impact I’m not liking it tbh not sure if us just the battery I’m running a 6ah I’m thinking of down sizing to a 5ah power stack to see how I like it before getting a Milwaukee mid torque
@@justinschw eh was a bit of an exaggeration but they are good tools. I think some dewalt tools are superior to certain Milwaukee still. I wouldn’t switch over to dewalt from Milwaukee or from dewalt to Milwaukee. Why waste the batteries and tools. I’d use those till they died and just expand the line with tools you don’t have first and replace those last
nothing wrong with the Dewalt. been using them for years a s a pro. nothing wrong with the Milwaukee wither, but don't rush out to spend your money on it.
Those prybars aren't the greatest in my experience. Walmart has Hyper Tough prybars that are way better for not much more, and they have striking caps. Great diy setup though. Also, I've tried several brands of locking pliers and Irwin Vise Grips are the best by a long shot and worth checking out to add to your plier drawer.
Love the start of the set up! Just some things i recommend! 1st thing i did when i got my bigger 3series US box, i took of the slide locking rails, super quick an easy to do. The drawers stay closed all the time! I had gotten the Quinn bit set thats roughly $100, its a bigger bit case, has any an every bit you will ever need! including E-torques!! long an short! I love it! Ive replaced all my cheap pitsburg sockets with icon as they have a HUGE VARIETY!!! I wish i wouldve gone with tekton as i found theyre VERY cheap compare to Icon, but i dont know how the replacement process goes for broken tools?? But For the price cannot complain! I 100% agree with Weethee2351, the pry bars are not that great. Havent had one break in the 2yrs ive had mine suprisingly but i didnt take any chances once i discovered the Husky set!! Also Tekton Has a HUGE variety set of EVERY ratchet you could need on their site for $525 if you wanted to break the bank a lil for a complete set! Good luck on the new hobby of collecting tools... Its never ending lmao Enjoy!
@@gosteazy When you reach to open the drawers, you gotta slide the rail over to unlatch the drawer. Thats what im refering to! I dunno if the carts are adjustable with the slides, but on the bigger 3series boxs. You can adjust them, so i dont have to worry about the drawers opening on their own. Just something that bothered me is all that i like to share as some found it helpful as well!!
@@MrNewbie-tt6fq I think with these smaller carts people lock the sliders in the open position, so you can just oull on em to open them. Something I'll be doing
I’m I the only one who shoves the old tools in a bucket and just collect rain water lol I hate when things go missing because then I gotta replace the whole thing if I can’t find the replacement
The biggest difference between Dewalt and Milwaukee is the color. If you want more powerful tools, look at the FLEX tool brand that Lowe’s use to carry, not dewalt or Milwaukee. It’s the grey brand.
I’m not trying to be a dick like so many in that comments section but of all the things you could upgrade the Dewalt impacts would be last on my list. They’ll last you a lifetime. If your a mechanic then start with a good set of wrenches and a full set of quality screw drivers. And I’m sure you know you know Lowes will still warranty your craftsman ratchets. I recently took back four broken one like yours and got 70 tooth replacements. I did loose my made in USA ones though. Had to turn them in.
DeWalt are good tools or have been for my brother he swears by them. Myself I am all over the place. Makita, Bosh Milwaukee and DeWalt. In my experience Milwaukee is the least reliable of the bunch. They are strong but like a hot rod not reliable.Don’t think I would worry about change over stick with what you got.
More actual mechanics are using more tools like Icon, Capri, Tekton , Olsa these days I only left the wrenching world a few years ago but i still stop by often. Get organized and start building your collection man

I’d recommend to taking a 1/4in sheet of plywood and drill it to the top of the board for more stability
I was about to buy a different US general tool box seeing this video now Im gonna get this thing freaking sweet
You're right! Out of all my new tools I've been using, the bit set has been used the most. Also, a sale you say? Going to HF as soon as possible
Any crafts man stuff can be warranted at any time. I always look for them at yard sales and thrift stores I’ll take them to Lowe’s and exchange for a brand new one.
You give them USA made garage sale stuff they give you back cheap chinesium garbage.
@@alcerz984 exactly
Nice set-up! Oil and clean some of your old tools. They will last you for a long time. Keep your new ones oiled and cleaned up, in 30 years you will be happy! Upgrade to Hercules, BTW!
If you are looking to keep those swivel sockets orderly at the moment, I've seen some people pull the pins out of the hinges and just use the bottom of the case.
When you put those sockets on the rail , put them “ upside down “ as in the end that goes on the ratchet faces the sky if you will , hopefully that makes sense lol
i love the 5 drawer
Gearwrench makes nice chrome sets
Put the hammers on the peg board and put the wrenchs in the box
However, if I do find issues with them I'll be sure to warranty them
@@gosteazy Thats interesting, Ive warrantied about 4 total I think and none of them have come with washers. I guess I just have bad luck or something.
@@JonahLyman1776 Yeah man sorry to hear about that. How was the warranty process?
@@gosteazy Super easy, all you do is hand them the ratchet and they tell you to go get another one and if its not busy your in and out in about 3-4 minutes. One thing I will give them lots of credit for is the warranty stuff is a breeze.
I just bought a Milwaukee combo drill/driver set. But Dewalt makes amazing tool. Nothing wrong with them at all.
Something I need in my life is the Milwaukee compact impact!
@@gosteazyI’m selling mine 3/8 drive
the old craftsman ratchet is my favorite ratchet in my tool box , specially the matching 1/2 drive
Cleanly? 😂😂😂
Me too, Bro. Me too.
Seriously though, good vid and well done.
hell yah man !!! love the video! congrats!
More shops are using Icon, Tekton, Capri , Olsa at shops and home. If it works, that's what counts.
Dropping by to show support
Congrats on the new cart. Now you need to buy another one to do the 10 drawer cart mod.
I actually should, I've seen it and it's a good idea
The pop-up of Mr Subaru was funny.
Glad you caught that
If anyone would ever give you crap over using Dewalt vs Milwaukee, then you know exactly what, f em.
I have the series 2 of that 5 drawer cart in Orange. Holds all my tools for building marine engines from GM crate motors. Use DeWalt power tools also. I have Hercules 20V and Quinn Master mechanic set for 5 acre homestead.
I have clicked on this video multiple times and have been disappointed on each of them. That thumbnail got me each time! Good work ;)
I have one for my job at Midas and the organization is excellent over all best damn purchase ever
Great stuff. Love me some tools and I just got the same box but in green .
You could mount tool belt hammer holders to the side or back of the cart.
Just buy tekton socket sets they are awesome
When I'm rich I'll organize all these tools in foam
Great choice going with knipex for pliers. Check out tekton, if you've never head of them. I tend to go with them over icon for most stuff. Same or slightly more expensive and a lot better quality.
I’d buy the new socket sets to replace and keep the old ones for when somebody needs a tool and they ain’t breaking or losing your good stuff
I am sure you have discovered that the large pry bar keeps you from closing the lid... I have the same set up.
Oh yes, thinking of upgrading the big pry bar to one that allows the lid to close... maybe one with a strike cap. I think ICON as well as Husky makes a good set
You should buy the Quinn low profile impact sockets
I bought them, they look sweet, but harbor freight hasn't made a 22mm ratcheting wrench that locks the sockets yet
What does age have to do with not being a slob? Lol little kids are organized when taught it.
if your grandpa is still around show him the upgrade I am sure he will/would be proud
He is proud!
im glad you posted this video, very informative
i actually just started working at a tire shop although i am the main tech for suspension and alignments, im gonna need my own tool box soon and ive been looking into those roller cart ones. conveniently theres a harbor freight across the street might have to get one
TEKTON ratchets are awesome and better warranty
Wild that socket set was missing the 12mm, that’s a common size.
Looks like ye get to buy another tool box so you can put away your tools scattered around the garage 😂 . Have fun
I wouldn’t “upgrade” to Milwaukee. Dewalt makes great tools. They make the best impacts on the market, ex: their most powerful impact is way more powerful than milwaukees, and you already have the batteries. Just eventually broaden your selection of dewalt 20v, maybe get m12 stuff to compliment if you want Milwaukee but you got something good there
Yeah, DeWalt is professional level just like Milwaukee, top shelf.
Good video 👍
I mean, I don’t know that I would ever say that Dewalt makes the best impacts on the market.
In my opinion Milwaukee makes better power tools for the automotive space. For general house hold jobs, my Dewalt tools have never let me down
I currently have the Dewalt 900 impact I’m not liking it tbh not sure if us just the battery I’m running a 6ah I’m thinking of down sizing to a 5ah power stack to see how I like it before getting a Milwaukee mid torque
Tbh Dewalt and Milwaukee are about the same so you might as well stick with it since you already have tools and batteries
Stick with DeWalt Millwacky Sucks GR8 Set up 👍.
The impact sockets are put in upside-down
You put the disposables and grease can etc tray on the wrong side below the handle, meant to go opposite side of that but this is life 🤷🏽♂️
I like it the way I set it up
Take those ratchets to Lowes and get brand new ones they have the lifetime warranty.
I like the vintage ratchet
Do you mean you took out the locking rails?
@@gosteazy When you reach to open the drawers, you gotta slide the rail over to unlatch the drawer. Thats what im refering to! I dunno if the carts are adjustable with the slides, but on the bigger 3series boxs. You can adjust them, so i dont have to worry about the drawers opening on their own. Just something that bothered me is all that i like to share as some found it helpful as well!!
@@MrNewbie-tt6fq I think with these smaller carts people lock the sliders in the open position, so you can just oull on em to open them. Something I'll be doing
@@gosteazy didn’t know you could lock em open! Thats awesome! There ya go I guess!
I’m I the only one who shoves the old tools in a bucket and just collect rain water lol I hate when things go missing because then I gotta replace the whole thing if I can’t find the replacement
What type of cleaner did you use on the sprayer???
Can you fit a 5qt oil container underneath?
Where do you buy brake clean to fill it up tired of buy the spray can
Can buy it at Oriellys
What was the little ratchet set in the icon box called
good job man i hope you got it for 197$
Sure did!
i bought a 3/8 ratchet icon and its so smooth. also bought a 1/4 and its terrible
I have yet to put heavy use on my 1/4 but so far my 3/8 has been great
Just get the Icon chrome sockets set
10:46 30 and 32 MM not inch imagine how big that socket would be?
DeWalt are good tools or have been for my brother he swears by them. Myself I am all over the place. Makita, Bosh Milwaukee and DeWalt. In my experience Milwaukee is the least reliable of the bunch. They are strong but like a hot rod not reliable.Don’t think I would worry about change over stick with what you got.
the addiction is really ramping up
Yes
More actual mechanics are using more tools like Icon, Capri, Tekton , Olsa these days
I only left the wrenching world a few years ago but i still stop by often.
Get organized and start building your collection man
I'll tell ya kid anything is impact rated just depends on how big a balls u have 😂😂
Sounds like the craftsman ratchet has teeth damaged on the gear take it back to lowes and get them to warranty it

Pretty sure de Walt and Milwaukee are about the same just more people that do auto shit use Milwaukee.
You think that’s a mess? you have no idea my friend, every single bench in my shop every single area of every single place you could put something. There is two things not just one.
