Plasma is an ionized gas. We identify it with stars or fusion reactors, yet cold plasma is utilized to make television screens and semiconductor gadgets, which are vital to the modern economy. Industrial plasma methods may also create ultra-thin (a few to several dozen nanometers) coatings on surfaces to protect phone screens and glassware, limit infrared radiation on architectural glass, or create transparent electrical channels on OLED displays.
