So many hits from CCR. But!!! Their version of "I put a spell on you" has to show you just how great they are!
And then you gotta do the original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins!
@@noracola5285 And Angelina Jordan's take on it when she was just eight.
@@sjw5797 and let's not forget the legendary Nina Simone
Love that song, Screamin Jay Hawkins version is fantastic aswell, check it out if u havent
I’ve been listening to this song my whole life and I never realize it was about tRipPing LOL as I stare into your pillow face😆
Pillow looks happy today.
Yes
Ikr...just no bad trip or it'll melt 😁
I cannot unsee this
The pillow keeps staring at me too
Listen to their " I heard it through the grapevine" song. CCR
The original "Heard It Through the Grapevine" was Gladys Knight and the Pips.
Frank Nabozny “I heyd it through the grapevine”
@@P-heff 😂
@@russellevans2446 ccr is way better
Dude I didn't know Bradley cooper was in ccr 😂😂😂
There are no bad CCR songs they were one of the biggest bands of the late 60s and 70s and John Fogerty is still touring and killing audience's his songs are catching on even with young audience's today but I'm 67 and still can't keep still when these songs come on great reaction
67 here also. It was great times in the 60's n 70's
Another that could fill stadiums across the globe. Even at his current age. In millennial. Real talk he still got game.
Saw his concert in the 90s. It was EXCELLENT ! HOT ROD HEART TOUR
He's referring to a "dinosaur Victrola". Victrola is a manufacturer of jukeboxes and turntables. Still in business today. He just means it's a very old Victrola that they're using to listen to Buck Owens, an older singer.
The dinosaur's name was Victrola. Kidding.
David B buck isn’t that old.
@@shelleybleu4903 Buck Owens born 1929, died 2006. So, fairly old. His heyday was in the 40s-60s, and the song was released in 1970.
@@DavidB-2268 And Buck Owens sang country music and this song has a country twang to it!! :)
@@shelleybleu4903 compared to dinosaurs.. 😋
"Listening to Buck Owens" gotta be one of the earlier name drops in pop music.
😜😂😍🤗
Mr.video is a underrated reactor tbh
most definitely this
I got him rated #1
How could he be underrated. He's BRILLIANT!
Better underrated and fun than overrated and boring...
Dude cracks me up. I love it.
"Bother me tomorrow, today I'll bear no sorrow" one of my favorite lyrics ever
It's a fairytale parade he told his son was happening out back but he could never catch it. Awesome father son moment caught in a song.
Thank you for that!
I always assumed it was a drug trip
Yeah. That's what he tells the media.
@@andyoreo333 And you would be correct. Maybe not tripping, but certainly tuned up.
@@HemlockRidge thanks for the chuckle I needed that
“Down On The Bayou”, “Heard It Through The Grapevine, and “Susie Q” are some groovy hits by CCR
Susie Q is what the DJ plays when he/she needs to poop. It's a poop song. The "I'm gonna need about 10 minutes of personal time and please light a match" anthem. This and "Inna Gadda Da Vida".
Midnight Special
Born On the Bayou**
CCR is my favorite band ever, and CCR is basically John Fogerty! Tons of materiel here! And John and his family have been making videos from their super-incredible back yard lately, during the pandemic. Shane and Tyler are full-tilt musician/performers on their own, and Kelsey is right there taking her spot! Just got John's DVD of "50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks". You are in for tons of fun with m'man Fogerty, you are! So lucky to be hearing his stuff for the first time!
He told Rolling Stone Magazine Reporter. That he came in off road, his son was sick and asked for a story. He says he told him this tale of Fun n Out Back things he saw, looking out his backdoor. His Story he can tell it like he wants. Drug trip or Bedtime tale. CCR 💖
He could take a druggie trip, then later make it into a sweet little story for his kid. Most children's stories don't involve flying on a spoon, but I'm not here to question the man. This was quite tame at the time it was written.
Love to watch you reacting to this music from my life! You just make me happy 😊🎶! This sad old world needs more of you right now 🎶🎧🤗🎶🤘👍!
Amen to that. 🙏
I just adore you. You are really keeping me entertained in the midst of chaos. - middle aged white lady who knows all these songs by heart!
Old white lady who also knows these songs by heart. Had this on vinyl.
Love what you're doing Mr Vid! ❤️
You want to listen to CCR, "The Midnight Special".
Where the hell IS he?!?!
He’s in Bluntsville decades before u showed up! YIIIP! 🤣
Nobody’s reacted to CCR’s TRAVELLIN BAND!!
He was so high looking out that back door😂😂😂
Smokin that shit that killed Elvis !
Travelin' Band is a 2 and-a-half minute banger!... Literally!
Def Top 5 CCR tune!
Perry Malcolm 😂😂😂 Crack me up!
Proud Mary is an actual big-wheel paddle boat on the Mississippi do that next Mr.V
CCR was a true gem of the late 60's - early 70's. Any band today would kill to have just one single as good as this; CCR dropped one every couple of months. They released five other singles this year, and all of them are classics - the previous year they'd released eight, also all classics.
You've not really heard Creedence till you've done "Born On The Bayou", "Green River" & "Run Through the Jungle".👀👀
Yes all 3 I concur!
Oh could i dance to all 3. Lol best boogie music
"Down On The Corner" "Midnight Special" or "Someday Never Comes".
His silver spoon he's riding is singing about drugs.
Except he has said multiple times that the song is about his son playing games with his toys and imagination
@@joem1480 Not on the documentary I saw that he was on. He also said for years he didn't care about copyright of CCR songs till he wanted those royalties.
If you want a song with that silver spoon, 30 days in the hole by Humble Pie
This is like the Illinois state anthem, because he just got back from Illinois, lock the front door old boy!
Shannon Biehl 🤣🤣🤣
Hey hey! PLEASE react to them doing “heard it through the grapevine.” Way fawnky vibe! Much different than this one- Ive heard you mention Roger and Zapp- they also did a version of the song as well that you might have heard - also great! However I think you’ll be much impressed with what CCR did with it- surely had Jamel groovin! 🧡✌️💛
Entire catalog is good for this group. Enjoy
He got statues with high heals, dinosaurs doing cartwheels. Tambourines and elephants. He got alot going on. Love you bro! Keep it up!
I love your videos, I see them from Argentina 🇦🇷
Creedence was well known here in the 60s-70s. my parents keep dancing those songs, they marked a whole generation here !!
A long time ago, I heard an interview with John Fogerty. He said that he had to go for a physical because of the army draft (Vietnam war). I can't remember all the details, but it turned out he wasn't accepted into the military and was sent home. He got home and celebrated by getting high...sitting on his porch and imagining all the comical stuff he could think of...just because he was so happy about not being drafted and of course in being high. lol And thus this song was born.
Thanks for checking out Creedance. They were a big favorite of my dad and hearing them always takes me back to great memories of him. Miss you dad. Thanks Mr. Video. Good one
He's having a good trip. Lol
He was describing watching his child's imaginary games in the backyard
This is nicer than most people saying he's trippin.
Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought he was high as a kite.
"It's brilliant" keep them coming brother 🤘🏻
You are already a star! Changed my winter! ☮️💙
MY FAVORITE BAND!! John Forgerty was that band! All the great lead guitar riffs in his songs he played. 'Long as I can see the light' is my favorite. For many years he wasnt allowed to even sings the songs he wrote. Also love your reaction videos wish you would react to Elvis 'bridge over troubled water' 1970 live.
Glad you did this one. Had me laughin so hard. You probably thinkin like me, if I go out and see happy creatures dancin on the lawn, I'ma just turn and go right the f*** back in.
He was higher than a Georgia Pine !!! Won't cha take a ride on my flying spoon? Bother me tomorrow today I have no sorrow do do do looking out my back door !!! He's Hammered !!!
Loved this band since 70s
Work sucks, masks suck, my neighbors suck and my truck sucks.. mr.video does not.. I appreciate you making a little part of each day better!!
I agree but ty for wearing masks. People like me struggling to stay alive appreciate your consideration. I'm battling cancer. Had brain tumor surgery, ovarian cancer, lymphoma, thyroid, asthma ibs and been on chemo over 6 years battling leukemia all the while. Life sucks but I'm not ready to die yet. Music keeps me sane. Til.next time be safe
John Fogerty was asked about this song, in an interview a long time ago. The answer he gave was he had written this song for his young son at the time.
CCR!!!! YES!!! Great rabbit hole as well!!!
A flannel shirt and Leather britches!!!!!!!!!!!! Talent rules!!!!!!!
Aww, my daddy used to dance with me to this at night before bed! Good memories!
It’s amazing to See/hear CCR cross generations & genres...they really are unFunkingBelievable...but talent and soul will do that
Love the country sound of this song. Hope the Buck Owen's song he was listening to was Bakersfield that he did with Dwight Yoakam or Act Naturally with Ringo Starr. These songs would be great songs for a reaction
You make me smile! You have helped me through this pandemic! I love watching you embrace different music and I'm enjoying the ride.
Midnight Special - CCR!! Love that song. They have so much soul!
I grew up with CCR. SO MANY GOOD ONES !
Nice work Mr Video. I enjoy your reactions every day. Thanks. ❤️☺️
I Swear to God it's like I'm looking at a mirror when I watch your reactions. I look up and you and I are cranking out
My favorite song growing up and now.. 60s baby here 🌻
always loved how content and Happy (and stoned lol) they all looked playing this song. Just having a good time ❤️
Once again, thanks for the smiles. 🙂 Your reactions always add a bit of brightness to my days. 👊😎
Everybody was taking a trip on the magic bus back then it was great! Until you wanted the bus to stop. The magic bus only has one stop!
Low Rider by War is a classic fun song.
Glad you did this song. It's a great song, and I don't see many other reactors reacting to it. There are many great CCR songs, but 2 that I haven't seen anyone mention in this page's comments are "Who'll Stop the Rain" and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain".
Man, he is doing just what you are doing right now. He is sitting on his back porch though. He is getting his relaxation on with a little weedy help.
They were an excellent band. Tons of great songs. Well chosen sir. I hope you have a nice day.
John Fogerty is a legend and the hits kept right on coming!
My mom’s favorite band! 💛
As a kid this song convinced me that if I looked out our back door, I'd see really cool things! Saw some squirrels and birds and stuff. When I was older....I realized that certain pharmaceuticals and substances made my back door WAY more interesting!
All of their songs are amazing!!!
React to Creedence Clearwater Revival ( C.C.R ). - i Heard it Through The Grapevine ( 11:11 minute long version )
One of my favorites of CCR.......thx for reacting to it.
My bruh cool and funny as always, too much sauce ✌️🤣 I see things aswell when I'm high but no one in high heels lol
They are one band that knew how to get you moving!!!! Enjoy !!!!
This song was in Remember the Titans. That movie introduced me to CCR and started my love for football.
He is not singing about drugs in this song. He has stated multiple times its about his son
Cup of coffee, bowl of OG Kush, CCR and your reactions make this day a good one. When I was a kid I listened to my dad's 45's of CCR. He had this one and Down on the Corner. I've been lucky enough to see John Fogerty with Willie Nelson in Nashville.
Love you and love your reactions to music I’ve known my whole life 👍🏼🎶 CCR is one of my all time favorites! Thanks to my dad i have no memory of hearing any of these songs for the first time! 👶🏻 pretty confident I was rocked to sleep with CCR & Zeppelin! ❤️ 🎸 🎶
I’ve always thought this song was a daydream, he says “got to set back take a rest on the porch, imagination sets in, pretty soon I’m singing... “ I think the rest of it is a daydream 💭 🦖 🎶 🐘
Classic back road jam! cruisin with a beer on a sunny day!
:D That's a "dinosaur Victrola". Victrola was one of the original "record players" - back when at first, sound recordings were on a wax cylinder; then flat, hard forms of vinyl. Big, boxy things with a giant metal horn on top that served as the amplifier.. This was a very old Victrola, hence a "dinosaur". John has also mentioned Elvis in the yard in live shows.
Gotta love those acid trip songs 😂. My favorite song from them is "long as I can see the light". Great song to smoke to
Check out Who'll Stop The Rain. There's also a version of the lead singer John Fogerty singing that song with Bob Seger that is a great mix of two splendid voices.
Very glad you're playing so many CCR tunes. Great memories.
This song was my intro to CCR!
And still my favorite.
So many great songs by these guys you're on the right track it's brilliant 🤣
I made so many trips around the skating rink to this song, I couldn't count them.
Fabulous !!! Can't go wrong with any CCR song .
CCR is great, I can't wait to see what songs you picked to react to. a classic band with many hit songs.
You are so entertaining....we really need that this year...thanks so much.
A fun little CCR tune. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Love this, he made this song for his kids ❤
Yesss!!!
There is no CCR jam that is bad. They are all good.
I have heard this song a lot but until now I have never known all the lyrics.I just realized he was listening to Buck Owens.CCR is from California and so is Buck Owens.
Hes just hanging out, high as fuck, and enjoying the day.
Absolutely LOVE CCR....too many songs to try and list. BUT, the "Seth Rogan?" reaction....HILARIOUS!!
wow, I love that you explore all kinds of music, I am the same. I have everything from ABBA to ZZTOP. I love your videos.
ROFL! You inadvertently quoted the Simpsons in this reaction! Love it
Marge: Quick, somebody perform CPR!
Homer, confused: Uhh.. I see a bad moon rising.....
Marge: That's *CCR*!
Enjoyed! Love CCR, Mr.Video, & the baby on the pillow.
I loved this song 🎵 every morning id be singing this song 🎵 ❤
John Forgerty is an American treasure, looks like you're a country fan.
Not country, southern rock
@@ameyer1970 Southern Rock/Country Rock/ Rock-a-billy ... it's definitely rockin'.
Closer to swamp pop i think. Whatever genre you say it is, it will forever rock
David- CCR was never played on any country station. Back in 70's was called southern rock or southern fried rockBUT NEVER COUNTRY
CCR country? No. Their music was a big part of the rock and roll landscape, and they were classified as southern pop-rock. That said, though, back then, many groups and songs were able to be seen as crossover. This song was among those .
My folks had an old Victrola that they played 78’s of big bands. Wish I had that dinosaur today.
I saw an interview where he said he got the idea for this song while watching his kids playing outside, while on a welcome break from touring.
INTO THE GREAT WIDE OPEN BY TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS PLEASEEEE I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, THEYRE THE REASON FOR MY EXISTENCE. YOU MUST DO THIS ONE FOR ME !!!!
THE FACE ON THAT PILLOW IS FREAKING ME OUT MAN...😳
He just home from a tour and he lit up a joint and looking into his backyard and imagining everything!
Such a happy song.
Proper music
He smoked some good shit and his imagination went wild I mean look at their eyes and their stoned smile
It’s 01:22 here in Sweden and I have watch you react for like 3h now! feels like I know you now haha!
Good work man!
Me. V. You sure do know how to jam to music💖🥂 now walk to your back door and throw that dam pillow out it, it's freaking my high away.😂😂💞
Do the “your crazy live performance” from guns n roses!!! Love the vids man. Just binged watched all videos the other night lol.
One of my favs
It's music and artists that i would've never heard of if i wasn't watching your channel
