- In this video, I show you how to solve a mulch door that will not open or close properly on a Honda HRX lawnmower with the GCV190 engine by replacing the shutter arm that opens and closes the mulch door. The replacement took about 15 minutes and now the mulch door opens and closes like it did when it was new.

I stumbled on this video looking to see if lubricating a mulch door was a possibility to keep it from sticking. Now I know how to repair if it happens to break. Quality video--I like how you show us how to do it in a non dramatic fashion.

Where do you buy the new bracket? Great video very informative. Also my lever is broken is there a way to replace that lever? Mine is located in the back of the engine
Thank you so much! Take a look in the video description for a few helpful links on the parts. Here is the arm I picked up: amzn.to/3XErGiD
Here is a great parts lookup site. Once you find the part number, check to see if Amazon has it: www.hondapowersportsparts.com
Excellent video!! Im about to replace the same bracket… Im also replacing the nut/bolt/spacer that goes through the shroud.. once the new bracket is in place and reassembled, you need to put the nut on the bolt that goes through the new bracket.. it keeps the bolt in place in the bracket…
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Can you share a link for that bolt if you have one so I can take a look?
