Be still my heart! Carreras' heartbreaking voice, combined with his handsome face, beautiful carriage, and emotional sensitivity make him the tenor for me. Add to that his fortitude overcoming leukemia at the height of his career and then establishing a foundation to help others with the disease, and he is an inspiration.

Hearing Josep and Cotrubas sing La Bohème at the Liceu in 1980 made me realise how wonderful opera can be.

Transposed a 1/2 down, but beautiful. Before he ruined his voice by trying to make a louder sound and force the top notes. I have the complete opera on LP.
