  • Diana's Throne Canyon - Utah
We were camping outside Zion National Park the night before we had permits for a couple canyons inside the park and had a few hours to kill. And we had signal. So we started researching stuff around us.
And we came up with Diana's Throne. It was actually within a half mile of where we were camping. Beta said it was a beginner friendly canyon that you could bail on at pretty much any place, so we decided to check it out.
It was beautiful. And fun. And, as advertised, easy and straightforward. You could pretty much walk around any obstacles at Diana's Throne that you wanted to. So if anyone in your group got uncomfortable, they could avoid the obstacle they didn't want to tackle.
And pretty much as soon as it started, Diana's Throne was done. Is it worth the trip? Definitely if you are starting out. If you are more experienced and want a quick side trip and are in the area, Diana's Throne will deliver.
Either way, we had a good time. Now on to Zion for the main course....

I try my best to capture how much fun we have. Just a bunch of dudes giving each other a hard time and having a blast on these canyoneering trips.

I love this lil easy slot! I did this with a rope that was too short and no harness, but it was easy enough to jump and lower yourself down with your hands in places. Hit up Moqui Cave right nearby too!

It was a cool little appetizer before the main course of Imlay in Zion. Hit up the Moqui Cave earlier this year. I was surprised how far in those caves went. Definitely worth the stop.

This is the Diana's Throne that is outside of Kanab right? I just love Kanab, canyoneering there is just something different.

It's between Kanab and Mount Carmel Junction. We were on the way to Zion and had a couple hours to kill. I was surprised at how many canyons there were in the area, right off the highway.
