    DearDays could have been one of the best ways to onboard new non vanguard players into the [hysical card game, but the high price tag only ensures it will appeal to fans of vanguard. And new players would be the perfect demographic since they havent played the older formats so what is stale for people who played regularily is fresh for them. I like the game, i like how it is comeplete, i like how easy it is to get stuff, i wouldnt want the game to be free to play like master duel but these prices have to drop.

    I picked up the game last month along with some of the DLCs and I didn't regret it. It's super easy to buuld new decks, you could build a new one with max rarity cards a day once you get going and that is pretty fun. Tbf if I had to buy the game with my european prices (60 dollars for everything so 180 in total) I wouldn't have done that at all but Mexico is a cool country for more reasons than nachos. Overall great experience and looking forward to crush the ladder with DE Gripho

      Think about it this way. 65 bucks for 3 sets and a deck set. Vs essentially the same price for one box set for irl. Remember u can buy as many packs in game for that set. You are till getting that ring feeling. U get irl. If u don’t have locals u have online play. Base ga,e has like what 6 sets and it’s 70 bucks. Idk. This is American pricing. I do wish it was cheaper but it is what it is right. Buy it or don’t. They will keep updating the game which means I have no reaso. To buy irl cards

    $70 isn't really cutting it for me. And it baffles me on how there are people that defend this 70 buck price tag. Like wtf??? It's no wonder why vanguard does so poorly in the west. I haven't played the TCG since G era and all my friends stopped playing because they hate overdress so all my cards just collect dust now. And then i find out we got a official vanguard game and to get the full experience i gotta pay $70+$70 for DLC. Nah screw that.

      Reducing that price will surely make more players buy them. Bushi is so dumb. FuRyu too.

    • @StrategicLemon
      @StrategicLemon 6 месяцев назад +4

      @@medzawesomeness69430 people keep defending its price keeps saying that it's the equivalent of buying a box, but there's a huge difference between buying a box and buying a game. If I'm buying the game, then I should have access to all the packs within the game. I can understand DLC if you wanna play as certain characters, but why the hell do I have to buy DLC just to get access to the packs? That's just incredibly stupid and greedy.

  • @TotalJusticeGaming

    It's the only way I play the game now. No toxic shop (mine was great, just using this as an example) environment, or driving to a shop. I'm able to learn a deck at my pace, and dlc coming out means I just have to grind for points for a set rather than grind for dollars at actual work.

    • @TotalJusticeGaming
      @TotalJusticeGaming 10 месяцев назад +1

      Dlc box costs 15 bucks and you play the game to get what you need. Real life box 60+ or singles market depending can cost as much as real box. So yeah, dlc still better.

  • @GuardianCircleCFV
    @GuardianCircleCFV 10 месяцев назад +15

    Dear Days is too expensive for what it is in my honest opinion, it's convenient if you don't have a locals around your area or if the TCG just costs too much overall that it becomes more worth while to just purchase the Dear Days DLC. Either way, I think the base game is decent but overpriced and Bushi need to do more with the game so it doesn't become a wasted potential.

    I will be toadally honest, I picked up this game in general because my friends on discord got me into it with the Zero release on day 1 and played all the way into the end of the servers. While I do have a love for the game as evidenced by the Harri profile picture I wouldn't really spend $70 on a card game simulator when the beauty I found on the game was being able to play with friends at all times. Not only can you not do that because it is a console game (unless you own a switch) but for that same pricing you could buy any of the other great games that share the same price. I feel that while it is a great way of officially playing Vanguard it is still nowhere close to what I expected, specially for that price point.

    Is it still easy to just swap over to a Colombian account to just buy the game and DLC for cheaper? I see all the people trying to justify the price but this game is just not worth 70$ base imo. I'd gladly throw 20-30$ for base game, but I'd consider buying on the Colombian e shop if that's still an option.

  • @rogueshadow7731

    I love Dear Days, mainly because I can build decks that I can’t afford/don’t have time to build irl. Although I won’t lie, I was on the side that believes the prices are ridiculous, but I understand that the devs need funding to support the game(still sucks though). And yeah, the wait for the addition of the newer booster sets/trial decks is a bit of a pain, but not the end of the imo
    All n all, the game’s *kinda* worth it
    (if they periodically cut the prices, I’d think it’d be worth it, but that’s just me tho)

    As much as DD being expensive, logically it's actually worth it. Yes it's a $70+ base game with $40-$70 dlcs, but here's why I think its worth it
    1. You don't really need to have a physical opponent. Meaning if you're busy to go to your locals (or you're out of town), you could just hop on to DD for a few quick games.
    2. Although the game's more expensive, but compared to the physical game it's much cheaper (mostly due to the pricing on secondary market, & PRs). A lot of cards that you can't get irl, you have it in DD's dlc.
    3. You can basically play every single standard deck for the price of one, as compared to owning decks irl. I only own 3 decks irl (all 3 decks are watered down versions cuz there are certain cards that I couldn't get cuz of the prices in the market). But in DD I have around 20+ decks that are in full power, includes every nation, which I can cycle through.
    4. Yes DD's update is slower than the physical meta, but that means you'll know what decks will run rampant in DD's when the update drops & know how to counter them (if you're active rank matchup players).

    Price and content aside, I was actually wondering if you were going to address player count and matchmaking time. I wanted a way to play Vanguard online similar to MD, but I was hesitant to get into DD because I don't want to be spending so much money and then have trouble finding online matchmaking if the player count is too low. I don't know if I want to sit 20+ minutes waiting for a match.

    Furyu seems to forget that people on these platforms are mostly gamers and when compared to other games you can play, it's just not worth the price to me. This is even before the fact that you need to buy the game 3 times in order to have access to all the essential parts of the game.

Micro transactions suck but there are ways to make it tasteful like LOR or healthy for player and company like Master Duel. Unfortunately, I feel the problem lies in Bushi being incapable of doing these things rather than making a good mobile game.

      Whenever a DLC drops it’s pretty populated but that only lasts for a week or two

    I picked this game up after much research (and some of your vids) because i was debating whether or not i should pay for this price tag. Knowing i am getting the first 5 main sets, 2 "Bermuda Triangle" sets, 2 Festival and a Promo Sets, and i think uo to 5? 6? Overdress Starter decks, and using onlu ingame currency that can be earned via playing the game propwr without funneling more P2W money into it? All for the price of a PS5 game? AND i can play with anyone everywhere in an engine that actually works?
    Thats legit. Coming from the days of Cardfight Area and the failed Cardifghr Simulator of old, i would rather pay $70 USD + tax tonolay exclusively obline without strings attached than pay $x000 on physical cards and $20+ on transportstion.

    See to me Dear Days is worth it if Bushirod plays their cards right, they can take inspiration from Pokémon & have live CFV online tournaments & I think that will be refreshing for the CFV community since everyone likes dear days (regardless of the regional prices which I wish the price was lower) I had to buy it through Brazil prices which was WAYYYYYYY cheaper than USA prices

    I take a marginal utility approach to these kind of outlays. A song on Itunes costs 99p in my country, so in my mind, if I play it 100 times or more, it has paid for itself. I enjoy Vanguard and if this game costs me £80.00, if I play it on at least 81 occasions, I would justify the initial cost. It's a weird, convoluted mindset but I think it works for me!

    I genuinely don't know how good a game would have to be for me to spend 90 dollars on. I didn't spend 90 bucks on the full Naruto Storm bundle - and probably wouldn't justify it. And one single game, that still needs a dlc of 80+ dollars, is a no-go from me man

    I got like 110 hours on steam, it's good for those who doesn't have access to locals or the real card, and it is a great game in general (hope we get something like this for premium in the future😢), but would i recommend it with that price and all the dlc for full experience? I'll be blunt, unless you reallyyy reallyyy REALLLYYY like vanguard, no, it is not worth it, hell, i even say that they are shameless to put that kind of price on this game when the competition offers more while costing less (pointing at rush duel and shadowverse), like compared to those the game feels barebone and low effort, and they cost you like a fuckton of money, the game don't even have the ost from the anime wtf (youthberk theme when?) At the very least sprinkle a lot of fanservice like ost, animation or something, but if you really like vanguard especially standard, money to spare and friends to play with, it is worth a try i guess

    I would say that if you definitely interested in playing vanguard that it’s worth buying the base game, and you could definitely pick and choose what DLC you want(this is obviously if you don’t mind spending the money of course. If you do mind, don’t go for it). If you’re so-so about vanguard and you were looking to use dear days as a way to see if you actually like it, then i probably wouldn’t spend the money because there’s the chance in that situation that it turns out you don’t like vanguard and you just sunk 70 dollars into a simulator.

  • @chaudspieler

    This game is worth max $30! With the DLC it should be $60 TOTAL!! Furyu should drop the price because this is killing Vanguard because people I am trying to get into Vanguard does NOT wanna pay $70 for the game and it is turning TONS of people away! I say nobody should support Dear Days UNTIL they permanently drop the price to $30!!

    If you have no qualms with spending what you need to play it, then it's worth it. What I don't think is worth it is once some people start regretting said purchase, they use everything in their power to advertise the game as the best thing ever made since sliced bread, like you die in the game you die IRL taken to cult-like levels. I'd rather that person be honest and say, I'm not interested in getting into the IRL TCG and I don't trust CFA/TTS so I'm gonna get this, instead. I also don't find it comfortable to advertise in random social media platforms to use different regional accounts to lower the purchase price of the game, just leaves a bad taste.
