Oh man wie schön. Ich bin 58 Jahre U habe in den 70 zigern bereits Manfred Mann gehört U alle Scheiben gekauft so mega gut die Songs...immer wieder gerne...
Manfred Mann is the greatest Rock and Roll secret in the history of bands, so many songs that most people have never even heard. And so many great timeless songs. I still listen to them to this day and sometimes for hours.
Great album . An old girlfriend introduced me to this record . Her one contribution to my music collection . RIP Sandy Kirk . Fly high with the Angels you Angel you .
Blinded by the Light was a huge hit in the US, but I'm so glad this song was in the charts during my first visit to the UK back in '78. Swooped up the single on 45 at Woolworths. Not sure whether it evokes such emotion because of the song itself or because it unlocks memories from that time... but it's a rare gem.
How come we didn't appreciate this kind of music in the day we were spoiled great music everywhere where are they now when we need them the rock and roll years were the best
This clip used to be on Regional TV in the afternoons when i got home from school in Australia. Never forgotten it, one of my favorite memories of music. Chris is an awesome lead, Loved his contribution of singing Thunderchild on Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds too.
There are so many little details about everyone this video I love. I mean look at all of them, they had a freakin' good time and their work was excellent.
To me, this is the greatest line up. My first ever gig was this line up at Newcastle City Hall on Roaring Silence tour. Absolutely mind blowing performance🎸🎹🎶🎛🎤👍
Classic rock at its best. Great lyrics, perfect hook and a catchy song to belt out. Hadn't heard it in ages, Ohh the joys of RUclips!! (bloomin continuous adverts though 😡)
One of my favourite drummers. Chris Slade. I have a programme autographed by the whole band after seeing them at Bristol Colston Hall. We -my friends and I saw MM and a couple of the band in MM's his mustard yellow Morris Mariner estate outside after the gig. He signed our programmes and then sent someone back into the hall to get the rest of the band's autographs...
До сих пор храню и переслушиваю "мелодиевский" пласт... Но любимый альбом это "Энджел Стейшен", наверное потому что это первое что услышал у ММЭБ. Всем здравия ибо мы последние кто это слушает и понимает... увы.

I just love this album, I love this song, but prefer the long version, with the 'killer' intermesso... Me and my friend would climb the wooden stands outside her house, we were 10 and 12, and this cassette was on the player as loud as possible... dancing/climbing our way to the top! ;)
Manfred Mann a brilliant group i have many fond and wonderful memories of them when music was real music not like some of the shit and rubbish you hear kids listening to today
Chris Thompson ist Manfred Mann, ohne seine Stimme hätte es die Band nie zu Weltruhm geschafft, bin mir nicht sicher aber ich glaube alle Musiker dieser Band waren nur Angestellte von Manfred Mann.
A an Great Mannfred man song.also a favorite of mine.all those M.Mann songs I do love.+never do forget. A greater old time favorite.of mine.love Karin. Good music will always stay the time. LK.
why no outro? saw this live on the watch tour. chris thompson held the "again" note, which continued while he drank a beer because manfred had sampled it for a laugh. probably the best concert i ever went to.
exactly the same as the one on watch, right down to each and every beat and syllable, in fact, i would venture to say they have redubbed this live recording with the one from the watch master tapes,,, oh and they left out the end outro piece too. having said that, this is the best recording in existence of it. probably for me one of the best concerts i ever went to when they did this album.
@@yamahonduki Must Admit that The Roaring Silence and Watch tours were incredible experiences. They were on top of their game and would have been hard pressed to have been beaten by any act, and I saw quite a few in those days!

Watch was the first album I ever purchased and it's still one of the best albums I've ever heard. What a band.
This band should have been HUGE
Chris Thompson: easily one of the top 10 best rock singers of all time. His work with Alan Parsons was also phenomenal.
Exactly, I believe you were pointing "Turn it up" from 1993 😎It's very great!

Davy's on the road again
Wearin' different clothes again
Davy's turnin' handouts down
To keep his pockets clean
All his goods are sold again
His word's as a good as gold again
says if you see Jean now ask her
Please - to pity me
Jean and I we moved along
Since the day - down in the hollow
When the mind went driftin' on
And the feet were soon to follow
Davy's on the road again
Wearin' different clothes again
Davy's turnin' handouts down
To keep his pockets clean
Sayin' his goodbyes again
Wheels are in his eyes again
says if you seen Jean now as her
Please - to pity me
Downtown in the big town
Gonna set you back on your heels
With a mouth full of memories
And a lot of stickers for my windshield
Shut the door cut the light
Davy won't be home tonight
You can wait till the dawn rolls in
You won't see our Davy again
