Great video. I’m looking for a cover for my 2024 tundra. Having issues finding one with brackets to lower cleat rail. What model bakflip is your cover and where did you purchase it?
@@robmotiveplus There maybe a few drops of water in the bed on occasion but it is very minimal. I still keep most things I carry in totes which keeps them dry. I believe most of my leaks have occurred around the tailgate. I also have the sprayed in bed liner and it makes it hard to see water drops in the bed. I would say the cover is 99% water tight which is better than most covers.
Aloha Rob. This hard Tonneau Cover looks great on the Tundra, but the installation was a little challenging and requires great patience. Also, your bed mat would make your Tundra bed look muscular too.
You neglected to show the main con of this type of cover. The reduced visibility out of the rear window when the cover is folded open. Ive had several Bakflips. I now use the Revolver x4s so i can see out my back window.
Please show us how the cover folds open. It will depend on what you plan on putting in the bed, but a hard cover could interfere with hauling larger items. Are you able to access the front of the bed without climbing in from the tailgate? My rigid cover became water logged and very heavy after a few years. Ice and snow also made access difficult. When I did get it open any residual ice caused denting to the cover itself. I realize you’re not in an ice/snow area, but something to consider for those who are in those areas .
Rolling on the KBS black bed liner on mine today. Can’t wait to see if it improves traction cause the slickness is just insane. My drive way is about 30 degrees, I struggle to keep balanced while sitting in the bed
I just purchased a BAKFlip F1 for my 2024 Tundra. My instructions say for 2007-2022+ Tundra but they aren't like yours. The kit did not come with the foam blocks that you showed early in the video, nor extra screws. The rails they sent me don't look like yours, basically not having the large bracket at the front of the rail, plus the drain tubes are larger. My instructions do not have me removing my side rails for installation either. Frustrating to say the least.
I am having the same issue. I ordered from two different places and they are sending me a crappy version that doesn’t allow me to use my deck rail anymore since it clamps to the factory deck rail

Great instructional video Rob. Have a blessed day.
I put the MX4 on my Tundra too. Had this same cover on my previous 2021 Tacoma and loved it.
Ever get any leaks?

It looks better than the rough County tonneau cover you had on your gladiator.

great video. Planning to get one for my new 2024 Tundra. Looks like the drain tube is different, I need to drill 5/8 hole. I like you rs better.

I love my new updated Rough Country on my 2022 Crewmax only a fool with money would buy a BakFlip or an OEM for that matter.

@@charlOOsi I spoke with a rep on the phone and they told me they aren't doing it that way anymore. He didn't say why.
Good morning, I have a Toyota tundra 2024 Trd pro crew Max. I want to install the tonneau cover, what part number is it?
See the video description👍
I would never use a tonneau cover that you had to remove the factory rails. Just wouldn’t do it
These directions where made by a 5th grader I have the same cover probably made in Mexico 🇲🇽 boooo 😢
Probably China.
