I'm sorry I couldn't comment earlier: work has been crazy this past month. I'm really liking your SnowRunner videos. I like how you manage to move the camera in game to create cinematic shots, and love the 'mini-documentary' format and narration. And since comments are disabled on that video, I'll also say that your Kola Peninsula review is perhaps my favourite of the videos you produced so far. Great work! The Voron D-53233 and the AE-4380 are the vorons I use most. I tend to prefer the AE-4380 even if it doesn't allow for crane+bed+trailer, because it feels more stable and more powerful. And yes, it's faster, that isn't just your impression. And finally, it doesn't have a squealing suspension like the D-53233, an acoustic detail I still can't get accustomed to even after almost 1,900 hours of playing time in SnowRunner. I noticed you haven't posted on Reddit to advertise your latest videos - the one about the CK1500 and the Kola Peninsula review - perhaps because the preceding attempt didn't generate much attention. It's the redditors' loss, frankly. This is great stuff, well scripted and well edited, that deserves a wider audience. I hope your channel will grow. Take care.
You're awesome, this comment really made my day. I appreciate the recognition of the work I put into these videos. Snowrunner has so much potential for high quality and cinematic content I cant let it go to waste. I didn't know comments were disabled on that video so thank you for letting me know, I'll have to go fix that. I'm surprised to hear its your favorite so far, but I guess that video came out better than I thought it did. It was something I through together really quickly because half the footage for the video I was going to make was unusable. So that's good to know. Even with the tiny gas tank I find myself using the 53233 more, I'm not really sure why, I think I just like it. I havent used the 4380 much outside of this video, I did attempt to use it for taymyr logging but it was slightly over weight. I did totally forget to mention the squeaky suspension in the video, and how the air break release sounds particularly like a sneeze to me. Yeah you're right, I havent posted much on reddit. I posted the intro to the ck1500 video and people didn't like the song I used. I ended up not posting the finished video only because being a truck that every American has known for most of their lives, theres a million and 6 facts about that truck I could've put in that video and I just wasn't in the mood to hear from people what I left out lol. As for the Kola video, I just didn't really think people would care what a sub 1k subscriber RUclipsr would have to say. But I really appreciate your comment, its gonna motivate me to keep doing well and putting in effort even if things arent hitting the views I hoped they would. Thank you for your support and I hope you have a good day, you take care as well.
There was a time when I started playing Snowrunner (some 1000 hours of playtime ago) and after few hours of playing I went online and started googling the trucks and their real life counterparts they are based on. Now you are doing these informative videos and it is really cool. Hopefully you will have more subscribers soon :) Good job man.
Thank you. Yeah thats pretty much what I did too. You can find plenty of people saying weather a truck is good or bad, but I wanted to learn about the trucks too. So I decided to bring the type of content I wanted to watch. Im glad people seem to be enjoying them.
Awesome video man, loved the research/narration format you used here, it really made the game feel more cinematic and immersive. If this is a series you plan on continuing, I'd love to see one about the Pacific P12/P16 trucks and their history. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I enjoy trying to work in the story behind the contracts and the map, I feel like the maps get over looked alot so I'm really happy people are enjoying the format. I plan on taking a look at as many trucks as possible with this series, the Pacific trucks are definitely on my list, I want to talk about those incredible logging trucks. I'm currently working on a video for the ck1500 so stay tuned! Thanks for the feedback :)
Thank you! Next on my list is the GMC Sierra, give myself a break from the difficulty of researching Russian trucks. And I'm glad you like that, one thing I feel is lacking in a majority of snowrunner content is world building, or talking what we're doing in the zone, I like trying to put some story to it.
@@pigpen1978 Oh really? Same model as whats in snowrunner? If so drop a line, a little mini review or your favorite thing about the truck, etc. I'll feature it in the episode, get a little community engagement going.
@@leftoverlegend6024 sorta. Mines a 1994 long bed and it's not a stepside. Mines also 2wd but it has the same interior as the one in the game. Honestly I like it because it's reliable as hell and pretty quick and pretty capable even though it's rwd. Over all pretty sweet truck and I wouldn't trade it for a new one.
Awesome video! Just stumbled across it. Subscribed. I like your in depth dive on these unlicensed trucks. Really would like to see one on what may be the most obscure Soviet truck in game the Step 310E. Keep up the great work!
Hey thank you man, glad you liked it. The Step 310 is cool, I've done some surface level research and its gonna get its own video for sure. That thing carried me through Imandra.
Hmm not sure what happened in the middle. The KAMAZ-741 V10 was a around 13 liters, not 10.5 as you stated. The V10 was supposed to go into production but they had financial difficulties and it was also a bit too complex. As for the Ural's engine, it uses the Ural-744 air-cooled V8. It was based on a Deutz F8L413 V8 used in farm equipment and some Magirus lorries. As for those prototypes, there were some 8x8 models which also had that V10 but the production models (5323 and others) had the YAMZ V8 used in the 4320 aswell as some MAZ and 90's KAMAZ trucks
For the thing in front that looks like a tiny mirror , i dont exactly know what it is , but here's me thought. Could it maybe be a kind of visual aid for the driver to know where his front corners are , given that there is kind of a step over the tires that he probably cant see from the inside because of the hood of the truck but this small metal thingy he can see. If that makes sense xD
That's actually a perfectly plausible explanation. Especially because hooded trucks were abnormal in Eurasia, potentially a way to help drivers get used to where the front corners were. I couldn't find a way to work it into the video, but when kamaz was building the cabs for the 4322 a few prototypes were cabovers.
@@freequest My first video like this was on the Tartarin *cough cough*. But its become my primary Russian scout for sure, its unstoppable as long as the area isnt cramped, it made the abandoned factory obstacle course a breeze.
2:59 That's Ural APA-5D, a mobile ground power unit, aerodrome vehicle
Oh okay I was pretty off then. Thanks for responding, I pinned your comment so others can know too.
This video format is really cool, nice job man
Thank you man, I'm glad you like the format, its taking some tweaking but I'm glad people are liking what I'm going for, thanks for the support.
I agree. Great job!

That would make sense, some luxury cars in the early 90s had these too as a rudimentary form of parking sensors.
Yep they are "side" markings for the driver iirc
OMG you used a crane I parkhoured my scout car though that place. Was hard but doable.
When grabbing the recon trailer? Honestly I tried getting the tartarin back there and failed but thats the magic of editing lmao.
