Shubham Pradhan Jimmy D low-key doesn't play with passion like Menza and Dirk V have. He sounds a session player playing a cover. I'd rather have Shawn Drover over Jimmy D at least Shawn Drover stays in time even tho he stays in perfect time and may sound robotic at times cuss he plays directly on the beat.

In my opinion Broderick played megadeth solos perfectly. Poland is really good. Marty is very creative. Pitrelli is good but wasn't that great the same case of Glenn .Kiko is like a combination of both and the solos that he composed were very very fenomenal. I think Kiko is the best.
Poland had the best musical chemistry with Mustaine. But Broderick simply had no sense of dynamics, his solos are technical and incredibly skilled but he truly lacked punch. Kiko has amazing taste and adds so much flavour to Megadeth

I got the idea, do you know what amps he's using?, When I saw Marty with Megadeth we couldn't see the backline very well but I went with a friend who new the support bands guitarist Mark Mynett (Kill II This) and their sound engineer. He said Marty and Mustaine were using Sansamp Psa1 preamps, I don't know if that's what they use Live all the time, I got no other information about settings ect.. I'm using a ART SGX 2000 at the moment but the Tube section stopped working for some reason so I'm stuck with the inferior sound of the solid state section and can't get anywhere near that Marty tone,It's all fizzy and not nice to play through. I'm looking out for a low priced used preamp that sounds nice like marty's lead tone but It's really hard to come by these days.. cheers:)
I believe Marty used a blue voodoo amp when he was in Megadeth.. he cranks his midst and he lowers his gain to a low number like 2, 3, or 4. But Marty sounds the way he does because of his style. It's in his hands and the way he holds his pick. That's why his sound is hard to mimic
+Mickeyslowd I know Dave uses Marshall stuff. JVM410H through his signature 1960DM cabs. I think that's his more recent setup, though, like from the last decade or so.
I couldn’t tell you what his settings are, but Friedman used a crate BV300HB for a lot of his tenure of megadeth. It’s the only guitar (tube) amp I’ve seen over 120 Watts. (It’s 300) I think the Randall (dimebag) warhead? Is 300 also but it’s SS. Hope this helps. Blue voodoo amps were probably the best amp crate ever produced....they’re just highly overpriced and heavy af (80lbs/36kg)
