@@sixbrokeneggs In 2002 Dave Mustaine had nerve damage to his left arm, that being said, he couldn't play guitar anymore, or do anything with his left arm anymore, here is an article about the incident (he healed his arm in the 15 months when he stopped playing guitar and started doing nerve therapy). "On January 7th, 2002, while at the hospital, I sat on a chair which I hung my arm over the back of. The hard edge along the top of the seat back cut off the circulation to my radial ulnar nerve. After approximately two hours I woke up and my left hand was numb. I went to the nurse's station and they said it was the hair-tie I had on my wrist. I wish. I had to go into town to see a specialist and he said that I would be lucky if I ever gained even 80% of the use of my arm again. This was unacceptable for me, so I left the rehab, against medical advice and when home to Scottsdale, Az. to get my arm checked out by a city doctor. My Dr. Rahj Singh, a expert in nerve damage, spinal damage, etc. said that I may get 100% use of my arm, but that I would never play the same. He then prescribed the braces you see [here]: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3. I then proceeded to Nathan Koch for physical therapy for 4 months of sessions, three times a week, 1-1.5 hours a day. After I finally got my feeling back in my hand, I realized that I could not even hold a feather in that hand and started a grueling 1-year weight-training program. 13 months after I hurt myself, a personal assistant that had worked for me died in hospice of drug damage, and I was asked to play. It was the first time I had held a guitar since November 17, 2001. Since then, I have completely healed and started taking lessons intermittently to re-learn my trade. After an additional 5 months I decided that I was going to play again, but that is another story". www.blabbermouth.net/news/megadeth-s-dave-mustaine-how-i-injured-my-arm/
Dude, if you don't think this entire performance is dubbed you are in denial lol. The vocals are extremely obvious, but there are certain sections of songs where 3 different guitars are playing. It's still enjoyable though, the setlist is great
His soloing fits Endgame. But what made Endgame so good is Dave songwriting, nothing else. Also, can you name one good solo on Endgame better than the ones on Holy Wars, Hangar 18, Five Magics, Poison Was The Cure, Lucretia and Tornado Of Souls? Yeah me neither
Dave wrote %99 of the Endgame. The Broderick only did some solos according to Dave's visions. The drummer and 2.nd guitarists were always session musicians after Friedman and Menza left the band
Love this song I think it’s one of the best they’ve done in many of their recently albums. Kicks ass and reminiscent of their hey day. Verse riff is like a holy wars style.
too perfect to be true... they did the vocals in the studio for the dvd release but if find a clip from a guy filming from the camera or phone u ll see that the vocals are realy different
You guys, you dont hear the crowd because in a dvd they usually edit it out so you can hear just the music. chill people, use some common knowledge. besides, if you listen to the studio and then this live version back to back you can tell the difference.
i said who cares that megadeth never reached the top .... music is not about being the best ....but making it best you can ........MEGADEDTH ..........FOREVER......
Mustaine did say they would be done at cryptic writings, then they never officially broke up,but mustaine also said he was done after remaking all of his songs and we see how that turned out, there still together and making another album
if I recall correct about 1 1/2 years ago, this was the first Megadeth song I had ever heard, it wasn't this video, it was an older video of this performance. I think I had stumbled upon one of those Kirk Hammett vs Dave Mustaine videos. I heard the solo for Kick the Chair and saw everyone favored Dave so I checked out Kick the Chair, IT BLEW MY MIND!!!!! (After that I looked into Holy Wars, now, I listen to these guys every day and play their music)
Dave Mustaine must be some kind of demi-god of metal. Megadeth's riffing is already pretty complicated and this dude both plays it AND sings while doing it with the ease of someone who is just strumming chords on an acoustic guitar.
Yes live concerts are mostly overdubbed on video, but the difference is bands like megadeth can actually play the songs. You know a band is bullshit when the camera is flying around and not doing a close-up during solos. Any professionally recorded dragonforce live video is a perfect example.
salut Hubert , tout d’abord merci pour m'voir permit d'élargir ma culture et m'avoir fait découvrir de nouveaux morceaux. Es que tu pourrait faire une vidéo sur motley crue, sa ferait super plaisir ^^
I didn't saw that possibility one year ago, when I posted my original comment. But I agree with you, Megadeth is just the best thing you can hear for metal, there's so much diversity, everything you would need to hear in a metal band they have, with Metallica and Iron Maiden, for example, you listen one time and then you get sick of it, it seems like all the songs are the same.
@mikem376 Yeah he's been struggling to sing. Most of the 2010 shows he's been struggling, really sad. But he's 49 years old, I wouldn't expect his voice to still sound good.
I love that Dave's response to career-ending nerve damage was to re-learn guitar and then write a song like Kick the Chair. Dude's incredible.
what do you mean?

Kick the chair is a great song, sounds like it could be something out of Rust in Peace
the main riff does sound like Rust in Peace, the song, sorta
@@BaxzXD Both Kick the Chair and This Day We Fight, with the faster palm muted single note riffing on the low E-string.
Not with that hack on drums
They need to play this live again, easily one of the most underrated tracks
They have started playing Kick the Chair again in their current tour!
Dave in one of his BEST shapes...
the best performance ever of those two songs in my opinion, too clean in vocals, sound, and perfect time!!
+Omar Fernandez the vocals are re recorded i think
the entire show was actually dubbed so that might explain it
ohh so the rappers are not the only ones who do that...
that's bullshit. don't buy that for a second.
Dude, if you don't think this entire performance is dubbed you are in denial lol. The vocals are extremely obvious, but there are certain sections of songs where 3 different guitars are playing.
It's still enjoyable though, the setlist is great
Everytime i watch MD live, I feel they are real different performance level. Always nailed it.
4 dislikes... Kirk, James, Lars, and Rob after making Lulu?
michaelliber now its 16. plus all megadeth ex member mybe? and lasr son who likes it
Listen to the harmony vocals from James L.. Guys I'm telling ya other than Jr. He fits well with Megadeth
The fact that Vinny Cauliuta recorded the drums on this album is amazing in itself!
"Kick The Chair" definetely could be in the top 10 Megadeth's best song. Understimated song.
and Endgame followed....which is the best of Megadeth CD basically, Broderick did the job and no one can ever deny that.
Jeremy Cubs definitely not the best of megadeth. Check out albums up to mid 90’s
Endgame is the best album from megadeth in 20 years...simply fantastic
Dave wrote %99 of the Endgame. The Broderick only did some solos according to Dave's visions. The drummer and 2.nd guitarists were always session musicians after Friedman and Menza left the band
Everytime I watch a video form this live show I can't help but think that the vocals were done in the studio
They were.
OMFG Broderick is not even looking at his fretboard and just looking at Dave's playing like he would be his student. What a monster
The transition between the two songs was amazing fits so perfectly
Megadeth makes the best mix in concerts!!!
La puta madre, que cambio de un tema a otro, grande megadeth carajo.
Love this song I think it’s one of the best they’ve done in many of their recently albums. Kicks ass and reminiscent of their hey day. Verse riff is like a holy wars style.
Dave has a hotter than hell kiss t shirt on!!!
Makes him even cooler
Great performance of Dave Mustaine and his brilliant band \m/
is just like in this song they have taken parts from rust in peace! Amazing!
*Listens to studio version, then live.* *Sounds the same* WTF!!!!!!!!
don t give a fuck!!!!!!this fuckin rules!!!!!!!!
It doesn't sound exactly the same, maybe it is overdubbed but i like it really much, atleast the guitar work is stunning as allways
MVP Megadeth No it doesn't '-'
No bands or artists today that do not do studio overdubs on a live recording DVD or CD. Even Kenny G.
2:57 Dave proves himself as a guitar Lord
Gibbs6415 yes the pick scratch on the E string is very tough indeed -.- . I'm not dissing Dave , I think the whole solo proves that he's a God.
I love that scene of Dave, he looks so badass
2:57
Sin duda lo mejor que he visto de ellos en vivo....
You can feel the power in this live performance... Awesome!!!!
How dave looks when he sings: 😶
How dave sounds when he sings: 👹
Sou brasileiro mas, a banda em questão é sensacional. Uouuouo !!!
Wish they still played this song live
is Dave Jesus? how the fuck can he sing while playing this?
you should watch washington is next
Watch Holy Wars and the final part of Peace Sells, is worse to play and sing
for me holy wars is pretty easy to sing and play together..
Dave can sing and solo at the same time, he's a beast lol
Holy wars is much easier than it sounds
seit einigen Monaten das beste live Video, dass ich geklickt habe
I am LOVING IT!
Shawn fucking Drover! People always underrate him. Badass and VERY solid drummer!
Amazing lineup!!!
I fucking love megadeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one of his best live vocal performances
I love LoMenzo's backing vocals
Is PERFECT !
Megadeth at that time were almost perfect in their live performances.
too perfect to be true... they did the vocals in the studio for the dvd release but if find a clip from a guy filming from the camera or phone u ll see that the vocals are realy different
The best Megadeth EVER!!!!!
in my darkest hour's lyrics is one of the best EVER! it's freaking good
The 2 Best guitar duo. Dave n Chris!!!
great stuff!!!!!!!!megadeth fucking rules!!!!!!!
Best band ever!! lml
best version live of kick the chair EVER!
VERY under-rated drum riff in this song. Shawn is under-rated as well. He plays everything perfect!
Broderick is amazing and all. But damn, this video shows just how much of a beast Chris Poland is!!
Great performance.
Bombardeio de riffs !
dave's voice is fucking awesome here
Another great song
yup the DVD is called Blood in the Water
You guys, you dont hear the crowd because in a dvd they usually edit it out so you can hear just the music. chill people, use some common knowledge. besides, if you listen to the studio and then this live version back to back you can tell the difference.
Vocals are fuckin' perfect.
this song here i the most headbangin song they hade made when i here that intro part i feel like i can fly and run into a brick wall and go through it

There are just two Megadeth concerts:

i said who cares that megadeth never reached the top .... music is not about being the best ....but making it best you can ........MEGADEDTH ..........FOREVER......
hell ya
MOst beautiful thing ive ever seen
Mustaine did say they would be done at cryptic writings, then they never officially broke up,but mustaine also said he was done after remaking all of his songs and we see how that turned out, there still together and making another album
Mad respect to Dave for that shirt!!!
imo, megadeth has the BEST guitar tone of any metal band!

This was right after they played Washington is Next flawlessly
0:30 a real metal god :)
the solo in ktc it's awesome , is not THAT impossible solo but has a lot to express every single note woo it's awesome man eargasm
Damn... a killer riff to play AND sing to. Mustaine owns it.
Dave Mustaine must be some kind of demi-god of metal. Megadeth's riffing is already pretty complicated and this dude both plays it AND sings while doing it with the ease of someone who is just strumming chords on an acoustic guitar.
Shawn Drover is one hell of a drummer
Broderick is amazing !!!
Yeah, Lomenzo was a pretty cool guy, not a bit worse than Ellefson.
This comment not aged well at all

Metallica is nice, and it makes a good soft transition for everyone to enter in metal and after appreciate the true metal, that's Megadeth.
4:03 Epic Moment! Fuck Yeah
omg, nice sound definition I definitively like The band layout. defenitively MEGA TILL DEATH
@butterknucklez Dave sings perfect in all songs!!!
2:52
Dave: Get the fuck away from me!
Chris: Okay, geez...
uome20bukz lol

and after watch the whole concert, i try to play my guitar and cry in silence in the corner of my room dreaming about being Mustaine
Friedman never played with them when Samuelson was the drummer. That was Chris Poland.
Very good songs that I should say
This is the heavy metal music.
@mikem376
Yeah he's been struggling to sing. Most of the 2010 shows he's been struggling, really sad. But he's 49 years old, I wouldn't expect his voice to still sound good.
@ffgiza yeah he uses both.
the silver one hes using here and the black one you see him use are both vnmtx. the rest are vmnts
