This was a fun pattern on a scale of 1-10 I rate it a 2️⃣ for difficulty.
If you plan to use this stitch for a different size, use a multiple of 4 + 1 for the turning chain.

Nifty looking stitch
I'm doing a granny square blanket. It's the squared diamond blanket. Could I use this in the round instead of a side fo side?
I have tried it and it works great! Just do the corners in the traditional way. The size of the squares might be a little bit different.

That is the way it worked for me.. there just isn’t a good place that I could find to put the spike. I wish I could reply with a photo!
@@Shesstitchin I appreciate you getting back to me so fast you're the best! I want to do this blanket (squared diamond 3d looking square within a square within a square blanket) as a wedding gift for a friend but I always get so bored doing granny stitches so this will be a fun twist.
