I just want to say thank you for being human, and for admitting there are times when you are feeling burnout, or really needing to dial things back so that you don't go back to being burnt out. One thing I admire most about the hermits is that you are very real in your approach, and that you remind us at times that taking time to rest, reflect or recharge is important. I have caught all of your videos lately still think your Rome inspired build was my favourite build in that series, and guess the build videos are a guaranteed fun view and laughs because they are just so unique and some of the end results are priceless. Thanks for all that you do, and wishing you the best as you dive back in to season 10!

I just want to say, Mount iLympus was the coolest of the castle builds. Seriously, REALLY well done, Impulse!!
I felt that Impulse, more than any of the others, really got the most out of the new 1.21 mechanics-the wind burst parkour, the ominous spawners. That it was also an *incredibly gorgeous* build (and a reference to one of my favorite films) cements it as one of the coolest projects I've seen in a long time.

Hey Impulse, don't forget that Season 10 is also the Social season, where Hermits goof off with each other and hang out. It takes away from project time, but it makes for great "feel-good" content! Don't be too hard on yourself if progress on projects isn't as fast as you expected, cuz the content is still great! ❤

@3Zleda yes and no. Before the start of the season they have meetings on what their goals are for the season. Like season 8 was their season for testing out new mods and gameplay. Every season they hang out of course, and even more so after they implemented the Voice Chat Mod in season 8 I think, but their actual goal for season 10 is community and playing in a relaxed setting with no pressure on big projects. Of course everyone is free to make their projects as big as they want, but there was no pressure put on this season for that, but instead they wanted to emphasise their friendships this season.
I Just wanted to thank you for what you do, I know at least one person (me) appreciates it!
I’ve had no power for just shy of three days due to hurricane helene. Minus a couple leaks and missing gutters we made it just fine. Im so sorry to anyone who was affected more severely than my family
but genuinely thank you, things like this really do help reel you in during these chaotic situations
Even a job you absolutely LOVE is still a job, and still demands your physical and mental energy, and having burnout can still happen! No shame, no judgement, Tango! We're glad you're taking care of yourself

The Turtle lair looks great! Maybe add some weathering/erosion to the walls as it looks a little too clean. Also you could lower the lighting just a touch since the turtle lair is often seen in dark, murky sewers, but not too much of course so mobs don't spawn. Great build though and can't wait for the next episode!
Mini game idea:
You raid a house for coins that are in barrels or dropped. The player uses an ender porter as a timer. When they start, a timer counts down and they have to raid a house or building. And get the most coins in the time before being teleported back to the start.

i call that Eclectic ADHD style gaming :) its what i do. i cannot keep attention on just one game for a long period. so i have MANY games i cycle threw and post when ever i manage to finish an edit XD
impulse instead of blocking off the part of metro mayhem where you used to turn right before you go to the dojo you should make it look like it is under maintenance so it makes more sense why you have to go through the dojo. you have to go through the dojo to get around the part under maintenance.
@impulse between the entrance and exit of the Teenage mutant ninja turtles area 🐁 🐢 🐢🐢🐢 it would look better if it looked like a cave-in with mud, dirt, vines and cobblestone

Also, 16:12 make it an actual man-hole that goes into the city, don't just fake it (maybe it is a sideways pipe for a while, if it is REALLY needed?), make it so players can go through it :D

For the entrance to the hideout. Maybe the tunnel is still on the right, but just collapsed so you have to go through the hideout and dojo to get back to the tunnels.

Being scatter brained feels normal for Minecraft, but I can understand trying to make things more focused. Especially when you have a huge project you are working on. It's been awesome seeing the progress of the cyberpunk city, I love cyberpunk!

I don't think Impulse knows the impact he has on people's lives. I discovered all the Hermits when my daughter wanted to start playing Minecraft. Impulse has, 100%, been my gateway into loving content like this and I don't think I could thank him enough.
Also, a Halloween/Jack O' Lantern game called "CyberPunkin'" would be awesome in the city.

We definitely don't want you to burn out. Glad that you have been able to combat that a bit. Hope you can refocus and get some more work done. We appreciate all that you have done so far. I remember when Tango was getting DO2 done he did project how long he might take and then he gave up doing that because it wasn't realistic. He started making big jokes about it. I hope you have the time you need to finish and that the Hermits have time to play and enjoy and not rush. I think you are on track. Give yourself more credit and more grace. We look forward to seeing progress when it comes. Can I say TMNT Rules Dude!! Yes! I'm wearing my turtle shirt when I watched this eps. LOL
Because of huge projects like cyberpunk city, I wish Hermitcraft had longer seasons. For example, last season, my greatest disappointment was Scarland not being finished.
The thing you built is a wing chun dummy - it’s not technically for Karate but it’s still obviously martial arts so it works! ELI5 - it’s for practicing framing out your blocks and punches in the context of close combat with another person.
Never apologize for taking time for yourself. I think the problem with season 9 was that it was the longest season 2 years I think. I think each season shouldn’t be more than 1 year 1 1/2 years at most. Do what’s best for you. Burn outs suck!
For the grass shop, you could use up some of the extra space by setting up an area for people to drop off their grass! It'd help clear out their storages, especially for the people who don't use it very often (Perhaps set up a rewards program for them... for example... if they leave behind a shulker box full of grass, they get an advertisement in the city of their choosing?)
Hey Impulse, Hope you enjoyed your little break and there is one thing that I noticed, that in Metro Mayhem even though it is not still completely done but the part where it gets to water is not "so" cyberpunky and also hope you find inspirations for you something to do cyberpunk in water.. Would be interesting🤔 cyberpunk but in water.. Thanks
Its not disjointed at all. I think jumping from project to project and working on multiple things at once is fine and will help to avoid some burn out. Seeing the different projects is actually fun to watch for me actually, so please don't worry about it!
It's Minecraft everyone who has played Minecraft has felt burn out. Sometimes you just gotta take a break and appreciate what other things you have
I appreciate you slowing building and placing blocks while giving us an update. Especially the bit where you bopped your head on the ceiling when building up, because I do that! Overall it just reminded me how much time big builds really take while making it feel more attainable at the same time, if that makes sense.
I have been enjoying all the content and your interactions with everyone! I am rooting you on for finding a balance you're happy with that doesn't burn you out.

Season 11 - ask a hermit to build with you . season 10 is the - more interactions with friends season, the next could be the, more building with friends season, maybe isolating yourself through those big builds is also something that speeds up burnout. just remember the perimeter and how much fun you guys had

If you already have a tunnel built, but don't want people to go, may be add iron bar wall, so they can see down the tunnel and know what's coming, but still have to run around?
To be honest, the pace doesn't bother me at all. I'm just enjoying the process. And as someone who've seen the guess the builds, the castle (freaking epic!) and listens to the podcast, we're being fed with excellent content after content. I also admire you taking on a big building project despite what happened in season 9. It's amazing to see how far you've come as a content creator and how your skills have grown and evolved into all parts of the game (been here since season 5). Keep up the good work, sir, and always remember to be kind to yourself. 💛

I just want to say I loved each pov of the defend my castle videos. I'm assuming they took alot of hard work to pull off, but yours in particular was so creative and I really hope that you feel satisfied with those videos.
Impulse, I saw the podcast from TwitchCon, as well as the panel, where you and the others were talking about what makes Hermitcraft so successful. A big part of it is how genuine you guys are and how you are always finding ways to keep things interesting, not only for your viewers, but for yourselves. Burnout is real, and you're not the only one that feels it, not even on the server. I'm glad to see when you all do things to take care of yourselves. Keep up the amazing work, but keep taking care of yourself man!
Bouncing back and forth between projects with a loose structure overall is just fine as long as YOU are having fun. No matter who you try to please, if YOU arent having fun then we the viewers wont like it sinply because YOU arent having fun.
you should make the wind charge room look like some kind of industrial exhaust pipe, like the back engines of a star destroyer or smth. i remember something like it showing up in the new transformers movie
That in the Dojo is a Wooden Man and yes its used for "puncing and kicking" but not like a punching bag. Its more for form and stance practice, it helps mostly with blocks, parrys and counters more than offensice striking. Also its more for martial arts than boxing/wrestling/brawling. Basically you pretend the sticks are arms and legs coming in for an attack and you need to block, parry or counter then flow into a direct attack. You for sure need to have some serious strength as the wooden man is solid, your arms and shins get kinda messed up kinda fast if you go hard on training and your body isnt really conditioned for it. I played around with my buddys wooden man and i wasnt conditioned, arms and legs brused like a sob for like 2 weeks+... yeah dont play if you dont know what youre really doing lol it hurts later.
I love the recap of where you've been at the start, the castle defence and GTB and TwitchCon stuff were so cool! It's been really great seeing hermits slow down and have fun this season, it's really cool that you share how you've come to reflect on that and I hope you find the balance where you can feel satisfied with all your amazing work without getting burnt out! The tower looks great with that addition! Cool armour stand work in the dojo! I'm excited to see what happens next this season!! :D

I think inside of the rooms with the scenes you should put some honey blocks under the flooring to prevent people from going the short route forcing them to go around so they can see more.
There's something about your voice with the overlay music that is incredibly soothing.
I've enjoyed the variety of your content this season, but yes it is very difficult to stay flexible and creative while still being organized and efficient enough to accomplish your desired goals. Reflection I think is key, we'd all be better off if we reflected more often

Honestly, the drive to make Hermit builds larger than life is detrimental. You guys do what you do. I know I don't care about mega bases I'm here for the shenanigans between friends

In your dojo, you could have skulk sensor triggered arrows of slowness that randomly fire when people are running through. It kinda helps the feel of the dojo!

I actually didn't mind your Hermitcraft break because you still did vanilla Minecraft content. All these other formats are amazing as well and I'd like to see more of these.
ok, but we had fun in this season, the best season with the builds and the games and the blowing up the (server), and the streams and the stuff. Hermitcraft seasons feel short, there is so much fun here. Some things take time, like cheese and wine. 😊😁
Don't feel pressured! The longer it takes, the more Hermitcraft season 10 we get, which is what we want!
A building idea came to me for the city: a burned out shell of a building, like you see in those "urban decay" photos from the 70s. It would fit the dystopian vibe, and it might even be a pretty quick build once you work out the block palette of concrete and soot.
No worries about our following your season 10. Take care of your mental health!
