In my police academy we were showed the scene where Clementine pulls over a drunk cowboy. They didn't know it was a from Reno 911. The whole skit was filmed with dashcam.

Thomas Lennon and the Reno crew are unrecognized comedy geniuses. And I didn't realize just how good they were until revisiting the show. When I was in high school and watching it on TV, I just took it for granted. The bog standard drivel on Comedy Central today really puts things in perspective.

I've lived in Reno since 1990...many of us love you and the show.
I was in Reno flipping a house years ago and the meth house next door was raided, there were cops everywhere and me and my boss were outside watching. I leaned over too my boss and whispered “should I tell them I love there show” one of the cops said “what was that?” And before I could say anything my boss told them what I said and they immediately started laughing it was awesome Reno pd is great
I watched parks and rec and the office again now im on Reno 911 and it blows them away by alot!

Thomas is a legend. To my knowledge I am the most accurate Lt. Dangle cosplayer in the world. Thomas actually responded to my questions in regards to the costume so I could keep it as authentic as possible.
Sadly I now have Parkinsons so if you ever wondered what Michael J Fox would be like as a cop...
One of my favorite shows. Really threw me when I first saw episode one. Just crazy funny show. Great cast and guests Steed was a hoot! Thanks for the comedy and Reno PD’s help.

Fun fact when I lived in Reno the show had a contest where you could be on the show as an extra i never won .
I saw a casting back in the day and I totally sent in my info. It ended up being for the dancer that had the ping pong balls stuck up her...I’m sure I couldn’t actually pull that character off so..guess it’s good I didn’t get an audition
@Kelly California there was a contest where you would be flown to Reno and win 5000 dollars I said just give me the money there was also a cop that looked like deputy jones. So much tourist thought he was a street performer and would take pictures with him

I live in Reno, the places you guys film look way worse than Reno. Plus there's palm trees in the show. I don't think I've ever seen one palm tree here. I love the show though.
Probably shot in LA
Alot of the rural scenes were shot in Agua Dulce and Acton north of Santa Clarita, in L.A. County. The more city-like scenes were in Carson, California. I also read some stuff was shot in Oregon Ironically, only snippets for the montage was actually in Reno.
Glorfinniel North Hollywood too. I’ve spotted many places I recognize from the valley. When Clemmie is talking to sugardaddy69, trying to bust him, that’s San Fernando Rd and Sunland Blvd.

I'm in law enforcement... I'd hate to say it but Reno 911 is a more accurate portrayal of American cops than I'd like to admit.
I always think of the real footage of that officer running away from the naked man, I'm watching it thinking it was like a cut scene from Reno 911 or something.
And that's what makes the show so funny. Every dept has a Weigel or a Junior or a Clemmy.
Why was I not informed of a new reno and how can I get it?

I've lived in Reno my whole life I'm 43 born@raised here... I really thought this whole time they created the show based on our town because they really found out that the police dept here and in our neighboring town Sparks . The police really are jokes here there all a bunch of clowns .
Agreed! I always figured they must have gotten pulled over here and after talking to a couple friends who’ve also had run ins with washoe sheriffs and decided that it’s comedy gold

Loved the show , sucks it went away , now it sucks again it's on the app channel...can't get it to work. So hoping someone puts them in youtube. Laughed my ass off every episode and died when movie came out and they kept running cop cars into each other in parkn garage.
I think they play these to recruit …bc it looks like a helluva job. Lots of fun!

I lived in Reno half a year...the drunkest person I ever met there was a cop....that was bothering me while I was playing video poker...in a gas station....while I was sipping a beer...that you can buy in a Reno gas station...he may have been just getting off duty...

I just watched a video where Washoe police pulled over a guy, harassed and violated his citizens rights blatantly, pathetic.
Some cops suck. Most of them are pretty chill. And this is coming from someone who has been harassed several times for no reason at all. Still, the majority are decent people.

Because to many people religion is personal and to others it's just as fictional as the television show they're talking about. I guess there's a place for everything and I hope you are able to recognize that. You not only don't answer my question you ask another question that is not relevant to what I asked. What is it you're trying to get at? I mean the killing of the dog in the comedy show that's used as a training video, is done so to get people to not just take the word of just one individual but to explore things a little further, so that there's not a chance of a killing. Is the person who lies about the situation regarding the dog any less guilty of murder then the person who pulls the trigger?
