5:20 if i'm not mistaken that's the modern incarnation of Heimasætan, the mother of modern Formula Off-Road cars. Before her the cars were largely stock cars, but when Árni Kópsson built her from the ground up, that changed the sport forever. Edit: I'd also like to point out that there's a reason for many of the cars to have what looks like a Willy Jeep grill on the front as decals. It's a homage to the origins of the sport, most of them were Willys or built on their frame at least.
Yeah, I saw this event in Iceland 🇮🇸 years ago. Before Covid. Have a good friend living there. And yeah, just like motocross bikes those go over water, you just need to keep throttle pedal in engine bay and not slow even a tiny bit or it will sink and fast. Also those tires help on water, they're almost like pedals in hydropower plant.
@@AIMAGINEWORLD777 Yeah, just do a search on formula Offroad. And the hill they climbed in this video, was small, compared to other hills they race on.
Thank you! i have been preaching formula offroad for years but it always seems to fall on deaf ears. good to see someone enjoying it.
Iceland invented this sport and is now worldwide
This is actually a pretty safe sport, no one has ever been badly injured or killed in Formula Off-Road in Iceland.
