Hey mate, somebody said you wrong about the small doors at the entrance, the doors are small because we believe that our home is a temple and to enter the temple you must bow your head in the sense of respect . Enjoy Nepal.
Or we're just short

To all those people who wanna visit Nepal,
Please don't get nervous when you feel people staring at you or keeping their eyes on you. The reason for this is we are actually fascinated to see foreigners you know. It's not usual to see foreigners everyday in Nepal.
We love you visiting our small country🇳🇵. And thank you for choosing us.
Who tf told you that? We see foreigners every day 😆😆 this country runs on tourism after all. It's the vloggings that's getting the eyes on them.

Nepali here, i can confirm u were getting the local price for all the dishes not the tourist price. Loved the Vlog. Thanks for representing nepal kindly.
"Imli" means Tamarind. Also, most of the chanting wheel inscriptions in Nepal are written in Newar, Pali or even Tibetan, Sanskrit is a bit rarer.
The sweets that you ate (17:03 - 20:40) 1st one is called Peda made from Milk dried in a slow heat till it gets thicker almost like a dough. 2nd one the yellow sphere is called a laddoo made from Chikpea flour (fried) and sugar syrup the 3rd one is called Jerry/Jalebi made from all purpose flour fried and dipped in sugar syrup. The yoghurt's name is Juju Dhau.
Not LADOO bruhhh🤣🤣ladduu

Don't be a fool, giving away "the secret recipe" to 'peda' in the texts of expats. I plan on exporting them to England this year.
The 3 things that you had from 17:00 are
1. Peda: A milk based product
2. Laddu: A sweet blend of sugar and gram powder
3. Jeri/Jalebi: Gram powder structure dipped in sugar water
Can't believe Gudka ruined the name for him.
He even misinterpreted besan (Gram Powder) for Basil
@@yogeshkhatri1618 true lol
The Curd is called "JuJu Dhou". The round orange ball is called "Laddu". The other orange dessert is called "Jilebi" in India, "Jerry" in Nepal. And the Milky cookie type thing is called a "Peda".
Finally someone who is so into this intense wooden carvings and take a moment to appreciate the beauty. I can just stare at them for hours and hours. I insanely love the wooden architechture of kathmandu valley. You should also visit these places at night and see how they glow and come alive.

8:40 we believe god is omnipotent and thus doors are made smaller so we could bow down to house while entering
10:30 Inscription on the prayer wheel (Maane) is actually on Ranjana Lipi which is also National language

I love to see that many vloggers are visiting Nepal 🇳🇵 and making famous to our nepali culture nature , really appreciate your effort man ❣️

The doors are small to make you bow down to the home as you enter. (Considering the home as a holy place)
We Nepalese, explore our food, culture and places through the eyes of foreigners!!
I noticed you get nervous as a couple natives keep staring at you, it's just that seeing tall, different-speaking foreigners come as a surprise for most of us and they are not judging you or anything, they're just curious about you. Enjoy your visit!
The yoghurt is called Juju Dhau which literally translates to King's Curd. Centuries ago the king of Kathmandu had organised a yoghurt competition and the curd from Bhaktapur got first place, hence the name.
Interesting to see so many tourists/youtubers making videos of Nepal and Nepali food. Nice to see tourism flourishing once again after pandemic.
You deserve thousands of subscriber.. Thank you for exploring our country!!

It’s a mess as you can see, but goes without saying one hell of a beautiful bloody mess.❤️❤️
The Kulfi you were eating was Tamarind flavored mixed with spices (Tamarind is what we call "IMLI" in Nepali )
Reason behind the Main door very small is:
So they can bow with respect to the house and the main door every time as they enter in the house. They believe that house is their protector and in the main door, god is there to protect their family.
8:28 my graandparent told that their grandparents made those doors tiny to keep away the foreign people that used to come from indian lands( mostly mugals or irish maybe) and tried to take away the beautiful newari girls of ktm...
Thankyou for visiting my country. Although I am not there anymore,I really miss many food items of my country. 🥰
The Sweets you had First one was Peda - Made out of Milk cooked down till water is evaporated and becomes the consistency of a soft scrambled egg then sugar and flavourings are added shaped,
Second one was Ladoo - Wet chick pea flour batter is passed through small slotted spoon into hot oil so the batter is fried into tiny balls pressed together into the round ball you had with sugar, flavourings and nuts .
Third one was Jelebi - Crispy fried batter dunked into sugar syrup
Lado? 😭
Mate its laddu.

Wow! I’m glad you’ve finally got your views up! I remember when you were stuck in Laos during COVID and you tried to get your viewers up. Glad to see you’ve accomplished that and wish you and your wife safe travels.
That sweet shop owner messed up the names of the desserts because his mouth was full of some sort of tobacco 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The sweets you ate were "Petha" made from milk. The yellow ball "Ladoo" is made from gram flour , as in humus, and sugar and lastly "Jaleebi "from flour and yeast
The rice beer is "Chaang"

The doors are small because 1, himalaya is highly earthquake prone zone, doors are weak points of the building, so keep small. 2, Building technique was not sophisticated, materials used mainly mud, bricks and wood combination weak structure. Huge doors can not withstand the load from above.

Yo the curd glass (clay pot) can be reused as small flower pot.
Great idea
The reason the doors were made small has a story. When kings and thier sons ruled over bhaktapur they were cruel and commited alot of rapes. So to tackle this problem they made door smaller since to enter the kings would have to bow to enter which caused them to feel insulted/for not so powerful so they would not enter. (Kings dont bow).
Didnt know that ...thank you for the information
Lol read history from Ang Kaji Sherpa. Real reason was home is considered temple and you bow down. Temples older than 600 years old all have doors smaller than these houses , do you think it was built for rpe ? Lol you need to chill up the ang kaji sht
@@babysudhirs9205 you sound like your name @baby. There are a lot of reasons why people say the door were made small. I commented one of those reason.

Laddu or laddoo is a spherical sweet originating from India. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat and sugar. Laddus are often made of gram flour but can also be made with semolina. Sometimes ingredients such as chopped nuts and/or dried raisins are also added. The type of ingredients used may vary by recipe
