    *I was able to use the stop to cut my pieces all the same **MyBest.Tools** Only let the blade come to a complete stop before lifting it back up otherwise it might 'catch' the work and inadvertently move the stop. Used a second clamp for holding.*

    Bought this saw today based on your review and the $199 sale price at Lowe's. Can't wait to do my baseboard and door moulding. Every other review online seems to focus on the sliding dual bevel top of the line saws, so this comprehensive review of an entry level saw is greatly appreciated.

    thanks Alex! subscribed. this review is exceptional, and i look at everything on youtube! i'm going to change to a freud blade immediately so your discussion is just what i need. i have an early (expensive) dewalt 12 slider, but it has grown too heavy for me to comfortably move around and my 10 inch delta is a jumper when you hit the trigger.....

    Great video, very helpful Sir ! I just got one on Amazon for $199. It's a great saw. Mine happened to have the clamp. Now I've got to get a stand also. Thank You for the information, Dave D. Pittsburgh, Pa. area...

    31.625 is a common compound setting for crown moulding. Two 22.5deg = 45deg two 45's = 90deg. FYI
    Good vid though!

    Such a helpful video for a newbie like me who just picked up this saw. Also got a DeWalt stand, but not sure if it's exactly the same as yours. They seem to have a few similar models with different model numbers. Mine is DWX723. Either way, your video has been a lifesaver. Thanks!

    Great video. Wouldn't the true max cut be the measurement on the bottom of the wood and not the top?

  • @googlecensorsyoutubeconten8309

    Thanks, Alex, for making and posting this video. It's really good, and it will help me get started with the DeWalt miter saw that I just bought. ... My only recommendation when you make these types of videos is to emphasize safety more. For example, at about 31:34 of the video you put your left hand on the blade while you still had your right hand on the handle. I'm sure you know what you are doing, but I would just emphasize safe practices at all times. ... Once again, thank you for the video!

    Measured the top when you cut for the length. What was the measurement on the bottom? The blade is round so obv the top will be longer then what the blade actually went completely through. Also can u cut a 4x4 completely?

      Alex Quiroz Great camera work too! Do you still like the saw after using it for a while?

    • @AlexQuiroz
      @AlexQuiroz  7 лет назад +4

      Hey Ed Rudolph! Thank you again! I use the gopro 4 silver for my filming. I absolutely love this saw however if I were to ever upgrade it would be for the 12 inch dewalt double bevel sliding miter saw and that is only for larger than average lumber projects in the future. If you are not planning on ripping anything larger than the average stock wood... you will be completely satisfied with this tool as I am. I also believe I saw the saw on sale for 199 at lowes this week. I was there yesterday and as I passed by it was marked at that price. I love the saw and the cuts are precise! Even the blade it came with does well however I will be purchasing the diablo blades from home Depot once I burn through this one. I hope that answers your question!!

    Most comprehensive review I've be able to find ! I thought it would be a bit too long but, nope, you covered everything really well. I will most likely be buying the saw . One question please and it is not about the saw but about the measuring device you used to confirm the 45 % angle - can you give me the name please. Thanks.

      Thank you very much for the awesome comment! Yeah I like to show what I would want to see in a review prior to purchasing these high dollar tools! Thanks again for checking it out! So the tool I used to verify the angle is a Swanson angle finder. They sell them at Lowes and I do believe that they are a low price! They are great tools to have! Thanks again and any more questions please feel free!

  • @bobscruggs8886

    I stated to use my new DW715 the blade came loose after a few cuts I should have checked that. When cutting 5 1/4 baseboards at a 45 with the baseboard against the fence on the right side of fence the motor housing hits the baseboard preventing the cut, I thought It would cut both sides, but it cuts great and a great break.

    • @AlexQuiroz
      @AlexQuiroz  7 лет назад

      Bob Scruggs.... thanks for this... I will definitely have to check that out ... I didn't have those problems with mine. I'll try to see what an option is for a fix. I hope you didn't get a bad one... the blade definitely has not come loose yet and I'm actually still using the same blade it came with. Haven't made any adjustments. Hmmmm I would return it for another just in case before the store return expires. I wouldn't go with another saw though... it might just be that one specifically... I'll get back to you soon!

      Hey Red October! Still cuts like butter and haven't had any issues with it at all! I don't see this saw giving out anytime soon and judging by the build... I'm sure I'll be long gone before this saw even thinks about fading out lol! But in all honesty ... worth every penny!
