You're right, gravity is only an 'apparent' force. It doesn't *technically* exist, but acting as if it's separate is so useful for almost every field of science that it's just explained that way for concisness. The same thing with centrifugal force, and many many other scientific models, theories, and conjectures. Honestly though, the entire field of physics is riddled with things like that, since everything in physics is simply a model for how the universe may work.

I'm not a flat earther and have my own reasons to believe that the mere existence of such a belief is a problem, but I've actually engaged real flat earthers with things that resemble real arguments and come to my own conclusions rather than just jump aboard the hate wagon, like this video does. Simply mocking flat earthers only makes them double down. Engaging with them shows you're intelligent and well-read enough to actually face them in a debate or discussion, whereas most anti-flat earthers Ive seen are literally more ignorant than their flat-earther opponents and just rely on popular pressure to win the argument (we all agree that you're wrong therefore you are). No wonder flat earthers believe the earth is flat, they can't find anyone willing to speak to them like a fellow human being about the subject.
