- So i challenged myself to this: Don't use Song mode, only 2 actual music patterns and then record in Performance mode. I use an additional 2 patterns for the rain and the thunder sound.
Maybe others wanna try the same? Could be fun! No? 😄
Directly recorded into a Zoom H4N Pro. No post-processing and no further Instruments have been hurt in the making of this video.

Can't wait to get mine in the mail....Stupid back order!
If it helps - it's definitely worth the wait 😊
Big early Autechre vibes dripping off this. Good shit!
Thank you! Oh wow, there's a name i haven't heard in a long while! Thanks for sending me down a new nostalgia induced rabbit hole 😀
hi there, really nice wor
Is this been made only using the tracker ?
Cheers from belgium and please, please keep up the good workd and sounds here !
Hey there 👋, thank you so much, i'll try my best! ❤
Yes - this was all made with the tracker (and only the tracker).
@@sandroidmusic great job, love it
Did you import a lot of samplers?
The only time I tried to import external samplers it crashed my tracker completely and it was a mess then to reset it.
@@aorakis5795 it's been a while but yes, i did load external samples onto the card for this one. If you are having trouble loading samples unto your card, here are some tips:
- make sure that the filename isn't longer than 32 characters/letters
- make sure there are no weird/special characters in the filename
- samples should ideally be 44.1khz / 16 bit WAV (eventhough the tracker does convert if necessary)
- also make sure you update your firmware 😉
If this doesn't work, come visit us on the Polyend Backstage Forum, i'm sure we can figure it out 💪.
top👍
Thx! ♥️
Nice beat🔥🔥🔥 I just got a Tracker. Interesting to hear some of what it's capable of. Keep up the great work.
Thank you. I hope you enjoy your Tracker! ♥️
Great track, thanks for posting
Thanks for listening!
Sounds great , classy. Great mood to it.
Thank you kindly! I'm currently working an a follow up to this, with the goal to be an opposite to this ( mood, the way i perform it - as much as possible, while being cohesive so that they can be played back to back ).
Lovely! Over a year on - do you still rate the Tracker?
Also may I ask; are the drums made from stock sounds? Did you program it from scratch? They sound great.
Thank you so much! It still is the core of my setup and unless there is a newer version appearing anytime soon, it will very likely stay that way 😉
@@adamdoran235 ooof, that's a though question, since it's been a while. I think the drum samples were just old samples i had laying around on my computer, so no.. i don't think they came with the tracker. They are however programmed entirely from scratch (as in, individual kicks, snare samples etc).
I can upload the project if you are interested in it and if you have a tracker to play around with.
@@sandroidmusic That's very kind of you to offer, thanks. I may just take you up on it! My tracker arrives today, looking forward to getting acquainted with it.
yeah, I like to do this too, only one pattern and build up with performance mode.. great.
it's actually kinda though to minimize mistakes i noticed 😄, still gotta gain muscle memory with all the shortcuts.
Have some algojuice! That was awesome.
Thank you so much and now i'm curious - how'd you end up finding this? 😄
nice vibes
Thank you so much! ❤️
Excellent 🙏🏴
Thank you so much!
Sehr gut!
Danke Dir!
did you play that deep synth pad or was that a sample?
It's played, but the tone is a single note i sampled. It comes from a C2 Note from a patch on the Arturia Jun-6 V.
I'm curious - did you get the idea for the track title from the "and now, the weather" music break they always had at the end of the Welcome to Night Vale podcast? ;) My fave track was The Bus Is Late (Waiting For The Bus In The Rain) by Satellite High: ruclips.net/video/6CXiB5n883I/видео.html
I think mostly because of the rain and thunder sample that i used.. but maybe subconsciously i was actually influenced by it? Glad to meet a fellow eternal scout though! All hail the glow cloud! ♥
@@sandroidmusic ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD
that's nice !
Thank you kindly!

Is that pitch change in the low pad part of the sample or are you doing that in Tracker? If so is that a sequencer thing or performance thing or both/either? Nice job.
Thank you! That is indeed done on the tracker and yes it's a pitch shift or what Polyend calls a Glide in this case ( since both are possible ). It's a note that has a glide attached to it. So whatever note you played before it will attempt to glide to your new note in a set amount of time from the previous note. Alternatively you could control the pitch amount on each step as well. All this would be on the sequencing side. In performance-mode you could also change pitch for each track individually if you would want to.
Right on, thanks!
