Dr. Michio Kaku is a gift to mankind. Having read all of his books and watched every lecture and video I have found in which he resides ... this man is one of my heros. Not just intellectually but philosophically, spiritually, ethically.
Thats a fantastic endorsement, aren't we blessed to have access to so many here to help us see with open eyes a magnificent universe, life is sacred, full of opportunities.
This man has not written a scientific paper since the late 90's. He is regurgitating what physics and cosmology have found out and he keeps harping on String Theory. Strings have nothing going for them, make no predictions that are testable and workers in the field have a 50 year history of nothing. Kaku is just peddling another book.

I mean, take 'Cinema Therapy' for example, who are Therapists who analyse Movie-Characters! Isnt that a nice approach? And theres yet totally different Approaches. Means: People get better and better at entertaining AND educating at the SAME time.
Don't get hyped, it's just a fancy mathematical model. Not based on reality, the maths is also flawed as the calculations don't work with real world dimensions. It only works with 10 or 11. It's gone know where for years

An amazing interview with the physicist and futurist Michio Kaku about his new book. My favorite part is 18-20 min from the beginning where Kaku speaks about God as a composer.
The crazy thing is that in the 21st century the top religions "God" acts just like any common King/Dictator of the past of the present - demanding obedience & loyalty(belief) & rewarding accordingly - all believers get heaven, all unbelievers get hell Not one educated asks - so these religions were born when Kings/Dictators ruled, is it not clear that they made God using them as Templates? And saying ALL unbelievers get hell is that not collective condemnation based on belief? Is that not what happened to Jews under the Nazis? Who they were as people did not matter, what they did in life did not matter - even Einstein, if he had not fled would have ended up in gas chambers! And this is how "God" operates? Like a Hitler? Yet amazingly not one educated person can figure this out!
The problem is that there is still no evidence of a composer. The use of that idea is only Katku's reliance on Einstien's idea when we know that Einstein did not actually believe in God. It is a way to communicate to non-physicists using a metaphor. This has been discussed in regard to the title "The God Equation," but believers jump in, of course, and insert a magic cause using this "relaxation" of terms.

It's more like 0,05% of the known universe, we are practically blind and deaf knowing how little wavelengths of radiation we cannot see or 20hz-20khz of sound that we can hear. Taking in account our machines we can sense those 0,05% of everything.
I could listen to Professor Michio Kaku, lecture, every day, for the rest of my life. Of all the guests on CTT, he is the very best, the most outstanding!
Michio Kaku is exceptional in his efforts to answer questions on theory of everything... and at the same time so humble how little we know. I remember watching one of episodes on How Universe Works explaining the mysteries of Black Holes. When he expressed that the center of black hole had been defined as singularity - which meant quote "We don't have a clue":) What a great Man...
I really like his connection between Buddhist and Christian philosophy with respect to the data. The world will be a much better place when more people think like Dr. Kaku does.
The other day I was in a restaurant with my wife and I saw at the table next to us was a young father with his very young daughter, who was about four years old. And it was very apparent that the little girl could hardly sit still as she was full of energy and life and she wanted to play and have fun. She was putting a tiny effort into eating as she was probably hungry, but her spirit was in a tug of war of sorts with herself between wanting to play and needing to eat. Her loving father understand this dilemma his little daughter was having and he knew that she would get to play later but this time was set aside for eating and fun time would have to wait. But his love for her helped her to do what was needed (eating) so to help her he set up his phone with a child’s movie (Puppy Pals) for her to watch and distract her enough to allow her to eat and at the same time, be entertained. So if you look at the father in this example as God, and as his little daughter as us, the beings inside these human bodies who want to explore and have fun. Then our father put this (movie) the universe, in front of us so that we could be entertained and we are enjoying the movie so much and it seems so real to us but in actuality, is just a movie that we are watching while we eat our food and grow, hopefully to get older and wiser at some time in the future. That’s all that this is. An illusion but a very loving and very entertaining and persistent illusion. And the moral to the story, our whole existence, is simply love. A love which our father gives to us because he loves us and wants us to feel and experience that, while we grow up. That is the theory of everything.

Finally a hint of scientic humility regarding Philosophy, the possibility of God, and the role they have and continue to play in the progression of science.

Thank you for this video! When I was a christian, my beliefs prevented me from digesting anything Michio Kaku had to say as the bible was my authority and I felt it had all the answers I needed. Now that I'm not, I'm thankful for his easy to understand explanations and concise communication. Definitely going to read The God Equation at the very least.

What kind of god punishes the children and grandchildren, etc for the sin of the parents? Do you really believe that others should pay for the sin of someone else? Numbers 14:18. '...he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’ The majority of his creation will suffer for eternity and most of them never even get a chance to decide to reject or accept him as lord and savior, simply because they were born in the wrong place at the wrong time. And it's not a fair choice for those few that actually get to decide anyway. If I gave you the option of becoming an atheist or suffering for eternity and claim it's fair because I gave you the option to decide, would you really consider that as free will to decide your fate? Belief is a consequence of being convinced by the evidence and is not a choice.

As a practicing Catholic (and science nerd) I have always believed God is a mathematician. This is great!! He has basically proved Bilocation, scientifically. In our faith Saints like Padre Pio had a gift of Bilocation and including many other Saints could be in two places at the same time. It’s true!!

I have watched so many videos/interviews/talks of Kaku, the thing I don't like about them is that he repeats the same stories in all of them, it's nice to hear he talks about something new for moments at least in this one.
I think philosophy has really nailed for a couple of centuries now at least that a theory of everything will never be possible. All our models will always only approach the truth of reality to varying degrees... Never nail it a hundred percent.

William Lane Craig gives this argument in the following general form: 1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause. 2. The Universe began to exist. 3. Therefore, the Universe has a cause.
Unfortunately, WLC is unable to show that his first premise is true. Even if hec ould, he still has all his work in front of him to show that the cause was intelligent or benign or reasoned or anything really! perhaps the universe is an accidental byproduct of some process unimaginable to us.

@@moonzestate Everything that we know of appears to have been caused by something that happened previously. The fly in the ointment is the "that we know of" bit. Did the Big Bang have a cause? We don't know, but if it did, we certainly don't know what it was! To establish the probability of anything you need to have some other examples with which to make a comparison. Unfortunately, we only have one universe to study, so no such comparison is possible, hence your question is meaningless. Where are you going with this? I don't somehow think that your questions are an attempt to gain knowledge.

When we talk about Uni-Verses we are talking about versions of things like the Human Universe or the Solar Universe etc. Its all to do with defining ONE Area of Scientic observation and consideration.
Well, the universe refers to this vast expansion in where all the energy and matter scientists believe exists, and that forms everything from particles to stars and galaxies is contained. It's a concept very difficult to grasp because the current theory most accepted is that about 14 billion years ago, something similar to an invisible lump, where all the energy was compressed and called a singularity, started to expand. All the particles that form every single thing, even you and me, came from there. That expansion is the universe. Now scientists have a big problem because all things are made of particles like protons, electrons, and photons. and it happens that the particles we are made of, seem to behave in ways that are not possible to do in at our level of existence. Think of this, if you were to look very closely at any atom that forms your body, you will see it is mostly empty space. the electrons are located very far away from the nucleus. That brings the question of the real solidity of matter. The observations made about particles during the famous double-slit experiment left scientists feeling as if they were toddlers learning to articulate their first concise words; that is why Dr. MIchiu Kaku referred t the observer. We tend to think that a wave is water moving across, and it is not!
They will never find a unifying theory. What they don't understand is that we are in a universe that is a combination of two different types of universes, overlapping, intersecting. A universe of relativity, and a quantum universe.
At university, we had a running gag: in at least 3 (maybe 5?) lectures, I saw different approaches motivated from this theory to solve one problem: the Dirichlet problem (with a Laplacian condition). This is what I'm reminded of whenever someone talks about universal equations. Sure: all the solutions agree, however, the derivations and the involved formulae and arguments are very distinct.

An amazing interview with the physicist and futurist Michio Kaku about his new book.
My favorite part is 18-20 min from the beginning where Kaku speaks about God as a composer.
The crazy thing is that in the 21st century the top religions "God" acts just like any common King/Dictator of the past of the present - demanding obedience & loyalty(belief) & rewarding accordingly - all believers get heaven, all unbelievers get hell
Not one educated asks - so these religions were born when Kings/Dictators ruled, is it not clear that they made God using them as Templates?
And saying ALL unbelievers get hell is that not collective condemnation based on belief? Is that not what happened to Jews under the Nazis?
Who they were as people did not matter, what they did in life did not matter - even Einstein, if he had not fled would have ended up in gas chambers!
And this is how "God" operates? Like a Hitler?
Yet amazingly not one educated person can figure this out!
The problem is that there is still no evidence of a composer. The use of that idea is only Katku's reliance on Einstien's idea when we know that Einstein did not actually believe in God. It is a way to communicate to non-physicists using a metaphor. This has been discussed in regard to the title "The God Equation," but believers jump in, of course, and insert a magic cause using this "relaxation" of terms.

I remember watching one of episodes on How Universe Works explaining the mysteries of Black Holes. The other day I was in a restaurant with my wife and I saw at the table next to us was a young father with his very young daughter, who was about four years old. And it was very apparent that the little girl could hardly sit still as she was full of energy and life and she wanted to play and have fun. She was putting a tiny effort into eating as she was probably hungry, but her spirit was in a tug of war of sorts with herself between wanting to play and needing to eat. Her loving father understand this dilemma his little daughter was having and he knew that she would get to play later but this time was set aside for eating and fun time would have to wait. But his love for her helped her to do what was needed (eating) so to help her he set up his phone with a child’s movie (Puppy Pals) for her to watch and distract her enough to allow her to eat and at the same time, be entertained. So if you look at the father in this example as God, and as his little daughter as us, the beings inside these human bodies who want to explore and have fun. Then our father put this (movie) the universe, in front of us so that we could be entertained and we are enjoying the movie so much and it seems so real to us but in actuality, is just a movie that we are watching while we eat our food and grow, hopefully to get older and wiser at some time in the future. That’s all that this is. An illusion but a very loving and very entertaining and persistent illusion. And the moral to the story, our whole existence, is simply love. A love which our father gives to us because he loves us and wants us to feel and experience that, while we grow up. That is the theory of everything.

Thank you for this video! When I was a christian, my beliefs prevented me from digesting anything Michio Kaku had to say as the bible was my authority and I felt it had all the answers I needed. Now that I'm not, I'm thankful for his easy to understand explanations and concise communication. Definitely going to read The God Equation at the very least.

The majority of his creation will suffer for eternity and most of them never even get a chance to decide to reject or accept him as lord and savior, simply because they were born in the wrong place at the wrong time. And it's not a fair choice for those few that actually get to decide anyway. If I gave you the option of becoming an atheist or suffering for eternity and claim it's fair because I gave you the option to decide, would you really consider that as free will to decide your fate? Belief is a consequence of being convinced by the evidence and is not a choice.

As a practicing Catholic (and science nerd) I have always believed God is a mathematician. This is great!! He has basically proved Bilocation, scientifically. In our faith Saints like Padre Pio had a gift of Bilocation and including many other Saints could be in two places at the same time. It’s true!!

I have watched so many videos/interviews/talks of Kaku, the thing I don't like about them is that he repeats the same stories in all of them, it's nice to hear he talks about something new for moments at least in this one.
I think philosophy has really nailed for a couple of centuries now at least that a theory of everything will never be possible. All our models will always only approach the truth of reality to varying degrees... Never nail it a hundred percent.

1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
2. The Universe began to exist.

Unfortunately, WLC is unable to show that his first premise is true. Even if hec ould, he still has all his work in front of him to show that the cause was intelligent or benign or reasoned or anything really! perhaps the universe is an accidental byproduct of some process unimaginable to us.
@Pisstake My own opinion is that WLC is actually honest, but has managed to convince himself of his own logic! Effectively he reasons God into existence, not convincingly to me of course.

@@moonzestate Everything that we know of appears to have been caused by something that happened previously. The fly in the ointment is the "that we know of" bit. Did the Big Bang have a cause? We don't know, but if it did, we certainly don't know what it was!
To establish the probability of anything you need to have some other examples with which to make a comparison. Unfortunately, we only have one universe to study, so no such comparison is possible, hence your question is meaningless.
Where are you going with this? I don't somehow think that your questions are an attempt to gain knowledge.

When we talk about Uni-Verses we are talking about versions of things like the Human Universe or the Solar Universe etc. Its all to do with defining ONE Area of Scientic observation and consideration.
Well, the universe refers to this vast expansion in where all the energy and matter scientists believe exists, and that forms everything from particles to stars and galaxies is contained. It's a concept very difficult to grasp because the current theory most accepted is that about 14 billion years ago, something similar to an invisible lump, where all the energy was compressed and called a singularity, started to expand. All the particles that form every single thing, even you and me, came from there. That expansion is the universe. Now scientists have a big problem because all things are made of particles like protons, electrons, and photons. and it happens that the particles we are made of, seem to behave in ways that are not possible to do in at our level of existence. Think of this, if you were to look very closely at any atom that forms your body, you will see it is mostly empty space. the electrons are located very far away from the nucleus. That brings the question of the real solidity of matter. The observations made about particles during the famous double-slit experiment left scientists feeling as if they were toddlers learning to articulate their first concise words; that is why Dr. MIchiu Kaku referred t the observer. We tend to think that a wave is water moving across, and it is not!

They will never find a unifying theory. What they don't understand is that we are in a universe that is a combination of two different types of universes, overlapping, intersecting. A universe of relativity, and a quantum universe.
At university, we had a running gag: in at least 3 (maybe 5?) lectures, I saw different approaches motivated from this theory to solve one problem: the Dirichlet problem (with a Laplacian condition). This is what I'm reminded of whenever someone talks about universal equations. Sure: all the solutions agree, however, the derivations and the involved formulae and arguments are very distinct.
