Just come across you, thanks for the review. I’m looking for a smart phone that does well with a few things including sleep tracking. Given your commentary on this feature, would you recommend this watch or could you suggest something better? Thanks.
@kemianthony3841 Hi, if you're looking for great sleep tracking, I would go with a Fitbit. If your looking for Great everything else (activity tracking, battery life GPS performance, good but not great sleep tracking etc.) I would go with Garmin
Fabulous reviews, Abby, thank you. So glad someone is paying attention to how many women buy these watches and making reviews concentrating on our interests. I am moving from Fitbit after many years in Charge and Versa to Garmin, and will proably try out the Venu 3S now that the holiday sale and return policies are available. One basic question for the light color Garmin watches in general: do you find that the cases (especially underside where the watch contacts the wrist) gets very dirty? And if so, are they easy to clean?
Thank you! And when it comes to my Garmin watches whether a dark or light coloured band they will get dirty if you plan to sweat/workout with them a lot. In my experience they clean very easily, I typically wear it in the shower which keeps them clean or rinse it with water and use rubbing alcohol if they are quite dirty on the band to keep mine clean.
Amazing and honest review as always Abbey! The watch looks very nice, I wish Garmin could make better looking stock watch faces like the ones found in the Apple Watch and Samsung. Even Amazfit has better looking watch faces (if the battery is a reason to blame). Anyways, a Garmin is always a Garmin, they beat everyone with good sensors and an incredible platform like Garmin Connect (no competitor has this one). Cheers my dear!!
Thank you! And I definitely agree, the Garmin sensors, apps, battery life etc. are the best right now but, Garmin should make better watch faces, as many are quite basic looking especially when compared to other brands. And nice to hear from you again, I appreciate you sharing :)
Just returned the Venu3S and will buy another Venu2S. It seems the designers tried to make it cooler but instead it know is more complicated. Also you need now to add your watch by bluetooth by hand and confirm, previously this was automatic. Also the alarm/fall detection keeps popping up when I touch or move the Venu3S in a unexpected way. The extra button isn;t worth it. The morning report is annoying. All so called improvements that are only adding stuff that I do not need. I would advice to Garmin: Keep it clean and simple and stick to the previous functions.
Hello, thanks for sharing! Please note you can turn off the morning report. And while I have not had those Bluetooth, or alarm fall detection issues, I also prefer the controls/operating system on the Venu 2S which I mentioned in my Venu 3S vs Venu 2S comparison video! If you are not using or wanting these new features/changes it definitely does not make sense to "upgrade" to the Venu 3S from the Venu 2S in my opinion.
I ghink they steuggled to sell the rose gold option on theor Venu 2. I just spent the past few weeks researching watches and finally settled on a venu 2 (your review also helped me with my decision, so thank you 😊). When i finally went to go buy the watch, the gold was no where to be found, but the rose gold was in stock everywhere and on sale. The venu 3 is very pretty, but the upgrades are nothing I need personally. Im looking forward to receiving my Venu 2 x
I'm glad my videos helped with your decision 😊 And that's interesting, the rose gold Venu 2S is always sold out near me lol, I guess trends are a bit different depending where you are. And the rose gold is my personal fav colour of the Venu, so I'd def say you made a nice choice 😉. And I hope you enjoy your new Venu 2S!
Hi Abby, thank you so much for this review! I have the Venu 2s and I am looking forward to see your video comparing the two. One thing it seems different between the two is the pregnancy tracking and it says that Venu 3s gives nutrition information, would you be able to touch on that too. I haven’t found a video that goes into depth on women’s health and features just for women. Thank you so much again. Awesome video.
Hello, I do have a women's health section at 07:26 in the video! This covers the Garmin women's health & menstrual cycle app. I did not include the pregnancy tracking as that's a separate app and I am not pregnant, so I cannot comment on the accuracy of it at all. I did just downloaded the Garmin pregnancy app on both the Venu 3s and 2s for you, and see no differences, the exact same format and info appear on both watches. And I'll consider doing a brief overview on the pregnancy tracking in the future, thanks for sharing :)
Thank you for this, appreciated! My 3S is arriving tomorrow, I'm changing from the galaxy watch 6. I had the 2 Pro, I found it a bit thick so I'm hoping the 3S is a tiny bit slimmer. I'm getting the dust pink like yours it seems a nice colour and at least it has no Nickel which makes my arm come up as I'm allergic, I've had to put tape on the edges of my watch 6 same with apple watch! Looking forward to mine, but like you, I found the tracking for health a bit off on my 2 pro but you'd think 3s would've solved it, I'm 72 so not in to running etc but walk when I'm able & can, as have fybromyalgea, good to keep a track on things. Keep up good work! Just hope they don't bring new model out in 2/3 months time! 🫣❤🌹xx
Hello! I hope you enjoy your new Venu 3S when you get it. I'm not sure when the next release is dropping, but that won't change the fact that the Venu 3S is a great watch. And thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for the review! Which do you prefer, the Venu 3s or the Epix pro 42 mm? I love my Epix, but I find it a bit chunky and I never use maps and many of the extra stuff it has.. So I am considering the Venu 3s! 😅
Hi Abby, I am new to your channel and Garmin. I box as well, and am torn between this watch the Venu 3s and the Epix Pro Gen 2. Which one would you recommend for serious training? Also does the Epix Pro Gen 2 look massive on your wrist? I have small wrists and some of these Garmin watches are looking LARGE lol!
Hello, it depends on the activities you're doing as both can track a variety of activities (ex. Epix does track boxing, specifically the Venu, does not, but does track cardio, which gives a similar result). Also with the Epix has more options and better gps performance for outdoor gps activities. If you have a small wrist and are worried about size, being too big you may want to go with Venu 3S as it is a bit more small/compact than the the Epix which is one of the largest Garmin watches I've owned and reviewed on the channel. You can see my full review on the Epix if your interested in how it looks on my wrist. I do find it a bit big, but it doesn't look huge, in my opinion.
Thank your for sharing your wrist size! As a woman with a smaller wrist, it is frustrating to find a smartwatch that doesn't look extremely oversized. Some of my friends can definitely not wear a 40mm watch, because their wrists are too small for it. On men the watches usually look "ok". It's hard to translate that to my smaller wrist. It's good to see how they'd look on a woman's wrist. I think might stick to the Lily 2...
Thanks for the review! Mine arrives on Friday :) Since I am upgrading from the Venu 2 Plus, does the connect app upload my current watch faces and apps that I have?
Hello, you will have to re-add everything it won't automatically add your current apps and watch faces. Some Venu 2 Plus apps and watch faces may not be compatible with the Venu 3S. And I hope you enjoy your new watch :)
Hello! Maps won't be displayed on the watch as it doesn't have built-in maps. However, you can see your tracked GPS route/map on your phone in the app after a GPS workout.
Hello, I haven't used the Fenix 6X Pro as its too big for me and I only wear/review the smaller more compact watches. That being said I do have the Fenix 6S Pro, and I still love it in 2023! And use it regularly, it works great & still getting updates. So I think the Fenix 6X Pro would be worth the buy, especially if you can grab it at a nice sale price :)
Thanks for the honest review @AbbyBReviewing ... Ive had a samsung watch for 5 years and its charged but not turning on anymore sadly so I started shopping for options last week and found your page. I was sold on the venu 2s until a few days ago. There are a few things i didnt like about my old Samsung (couldnt pick a HIIT workout for one) The garmin was suggested and that how I found you lol. Im just wondering if you were planning to do a camparison review for the 2s vs 3s. Its currently pricing out at 599.99 in canada so as much as i am impatient lol I think I will wait for a sale, but would really like to see what your opinion on the 2 models is and which you would recommend more for a first time Garmin buyer :)
Hello, yes I will, I'm currently working on it, and will be dropping my Venu 3s vs Venu 2s comparison on a #ABRTechTuesday soon, so stay tuned! And I hope my videos will help with your decision as well :)
Not sure if that is a question or statement with no question mark there lol. But the Venu 3S can track those exercises and can track many metrics such as reps, calories burned, pace, distance, intensity mins, laps, heart rate, heart rate zones & more.
🤔 Meilleures salutations 🇨🇭
Great review. How is the heart rate accuracy with new Elevate 5 sensor, please? In theory HR accuracy of Venu 3S should be better than Fenix 7 Pro/Epix 2 Pro, given lower weight.
Thank you, and the heart rate has been accurate in my experience, no issues with casual resting heart rate or active heart rate values during a workout. I haven't noticed much of a difference between the Epix Pro Gen 2 42mm and Venu 3S here may differ between 5% or less during a workout. Venu 3S picks up heart rate changes faster during some activities like run/walk intervals and HIIT but, no difference in data when wearing normally or resting in my experience. I don't have the Fenix 7 Pro so can't speak on that.
Hi Abby. I am new to garmin watches. Love your informative videos and they have definitely helped me narrow down the options garmin offers. I’m currently debating between venu 3s & vivoactive 5. What would you recommend, is there a better option? I lift weights 2 days & run 5 days out of the week. Occasionally love to hike.
Hello! Im happy to hear your loving my reviews 😊. And I would choose the Venu 3S. It's more expensive, but definitely the better watch, imo it's, more durable, newer heart rate sensor. And as someone who likes to go on walks, occasional runs, and hikes myself, i appreciate the barometric altimeter that allows me to track my elevation data and floors climbed, which is not present on the Vivoactive 5. Also, I've already done a comparison video between the Venu 3S and Vivoactive 5 here: ruclips.net/video/mdhCstMmWNE/видео.html
Can you scroll back on the screen and see the stress level for more than the last 4 hours on the Venu 3s, like on the Venu 2s and the FR265s? I really miss that feature on the Epix pro 42 mm. 😅
Perfect! 🤩 Can I also ask, is it possible to have the do not disturb enabled for different times for different days, like on the Epix and FR265s or is it set for all days? 😃 I always have it different for week days and weekends.. 😅
Hello Abby. I learned a lot from your video. Tks a lot. I was wondering what you know about the Wallet? I can't add my CIBC bank card or Visa. It is frustrating. Please let me know what you think. :)
Hello, I live in Canada, I take it you do as well as you mentioned CIBC. I don't speak much about Garmin Pay as it's basically non existant here, and I can't t use it to test the features. In Canada you can't add any major banks like CIBC, RBC, Scotiabank, etc., only a few small options that aren't well known are supported currently. Averysly, it works in the USA with pretty much every provider out. So it's definitely a shame with the lack of Canada support.
Thanks for the video. I'm currently in a Vivo and have it for 5+ years. No longer keeping a charge. Question is.... If there a docking system for the watch? Or it is just by the cable card.
Hello! I found one on Amazon that worked well, albeit a little tricky to install, but has lasted months so far. It's linked in the description if you're interested! And I hope you have a great day as well 😊
I've Been binge watching your reviews, they are really good! I'm getting a watch for my girlfriend, I'm currently thinking between the Venu 3S and the epix pro2 42mm. I think she prefers the looks and size of the Venu3 more. Is there any difference in the day to day usage of the watches? are they both as smooth to use etc. Which one would you prefer? I really appreciate it, thank you! :)
Hi Abby, I just bought the 3 but forgot to think about protecting! I see there are a) screeprotectors and b) cases Can you tell me what you advice about that? Thank you!
Screen Protectors cover the display. Cases cover the entire watch face and buttons usually. I prefer using screen protectors, i like protecting the display and letting the bezel and watch body show and am not concerned about small scratches or signs of use on the watch body. For the cases in my experience, they dont look the best on, make the buttons harder to press, and gets water stuck underneath a lot when washing hands showering etc, requiring taking it off to dry do u can use the touch screen display which i find a hassle personally, and i dont buy them anymore.
@@AbbyBReviewing Thank you so much for this! I hadn't thought about that. Your explanation and advice helped me, thanks for taking the time to answer us.❤❤
Hai Abby. Out of this review. Do you know when will be venu 4s will be released? Cause I have a plan to buy one. Either 3S or wait until 4s launching. Usually on August they lauch a new product, but not sure too. Hopefully you can answer
So, I'd say go with a Fitbit for good sleep tracking, or go with a Garmin for good (everything else you listed). Unfortunately you cant get all you want in one watch at the moment, so you need to pick and choose what's most important to you.
Hi, I wanted to ask how the light colored band works for you over time? Does it get dirty? I have dark grey version and it's fine, but I see sometimes 2nd hand watches with light bands that are distustingly dirty. I was considering buying mint version of venu 3s but now I am not sure if it wont get dirty quickly in a way that will be hard to clean? Do you wear 1 watch long enough to tell if they get dirty? I can't see any problem with my dark version, but I would love mint one.
Hello! I've had no issues keeping any lighter coloured Garmin band clean, and if you are keeping your dark grey one clean you shouldn't have any issues. I usually switch up the watch i wear monthly, which leaves plenty of time for them to get dirty. To clean, I only rinse with water after workouts and wear in the shower few times a week mine have stayed clean as can be seen in the video. I think some used ones that are quite dirty due to never being cleaned. Whenever i see a used one that dirty i would avoid it, as it shows the watch wasn't treated very well.
Hello, I found a screen protector on amazon that is decent. I've added a link for it in the video description! Also, I wanted to note after applying, mine had a few air bubbles but they disappeared within ~24 hours after installation!
Hello, I have not tried the Apple Watch 9, as I'm an Andriod user, so I can't comment on that watch. However, I think the Venu 3S is a great watch in my experience with ling battery life and many features, as I've expressed in this video.
I got my venu 2 plus last year (based on your reviews!) after the underwhelming progress of my beloved fitbit versa line. I have been loving it, but HATING the size. Amazing specs and amazing everything else but I am on the market again. I used it for HIit, long powerwalks, gym work and some surfing and cycling. It just got too much in the way (especially with the wetsuit). I like the maps etc specs of the fenix 7s pro, even the Epix. But I reckon the size and chunk factor would be an issue again. So potentially maybe the venu 3s would be a better option? What do you think? Thanks lovely :) great job as always
@@Marwaves hello! I’m glad to hear my videos helped you choose a watch! I also found the Venu 2 Plus too big, the Fenix and Epix are slightly smaller than the Venu 2 Plus but are thicker and a bit heavier but are your best option for tracking surfing, and I love having built in maps. If you want something a bit smaller but same features as Venu 2 Plus the Venu 3S could be a great option. Note the Venu 3S is still not the smallest watch. I’d say the Venu 2S is much smaller in comparison, it could be a good option as well if you want something even smaller but you won’t get the voice functionality/speaker. I did a comparison of the Venu 2S vs Venu 3S l, and reviews on the Fenix 7S and Epix if your interested!
Always so kind responding to all the comments so quickly! Im definitely going to have a further look at them. It does feel like venu 3s would be a good choice too. The product lineup is proper confusing, I wish they were easier to see in person too! Ill check out more of your vids. Keep up the good work!^_^
Hi Abby, have you had any issues with contacts data from your android cell syncing with the venu 3s? I saw a review saying that when calls come to the phone it shows the cell number and not the name saved in the cell contacts?? Hope thats not true of all garmins
Thanks for the review! I do want to ask, i have the samsung galaxy watch 6 and one thing i love about it is when i get a text message, i can reply by typing a reply on the keyboard or use the mic and dictate my reply and it will type it up very quickly and i just hit send. Can i do this w the vus3?
Hello! There is no keyboard to type a response. You can either sene one of the premade responses(you can make vustom ones in the Garmin Connect app) to reply to a text or could use the voice assistant to send a text reply.
Hi, I showed the activities it can track at 04:30 in the video. And there is no dance tracking. Alternatively, you could use the cardio option to track dance activities.
Hi, I recommend them all, it depends on what you are looking for as those are 3 quite different watches. I've done full individual reborws on all of them if you're looking to get more info on them. The one I prefer most out of the 3 is the Venu 3S.
Struggling to decide between venu3s and fr 165. should i try tre 265s? The 165 feels very comfortable to me and has more accurate sleep tracking than the 3 (in my case) the venu 3 i have to wear very loose because the new sensor irritates my skin and digs in. Would the 265s feel more like the 165to wear? Do you think it would be overkill for someone that is just active and rarely runs and I should stick to one of my original two choices?
Hi, I personally prefer the 265S. Whether or not you should try it is up to you but I'd consider the price, features you want, the design, size etc, that may help with your choice.
@@AbbyBReviewing thanks. The 165 feels a little like settling to me but comfort for all day wear seems very important. The venu 3 has all the training features I personally feel I would need, it's just the comfort level isn't great for me. im constantly noticing it on. I feel a little silly going for a forerunner 265 since I really don't run but I think I'm just going to give it a go. Plus it's pink 😎. Thanks for your input!
I am confused between the venu 3s and venu 2 plus because here in Netherland there is a reduction in the price of the venu 2 plus up to 359€ while the price of the venu 3s reaches 499€. My question is, is the venus 3s worth the extra 140€?
So, the biggest difference for me between the Venu 3S and Venu 2 Plus is the SIZE. I prefer the Venu 3S for the smaller form factor, it's also a bit more lightweight, has nicer colour options, and looks better in my opinion. They have very similar features, and both track activities and data well. Whether it's worth it or not is definitely up to you.
If GPS tracking accuracy is important to you the Venu 3s has GPS GNSS all systems and the Venu 2 plus has regular GPS tracking. So the 3s will be more accurate.
Hi, not really, you can either choose to set it up and use voice assistant or not set it up and not use it. Alternatively once voice assistant is set up, if your wifi and bluetooth functions are turned off on your watch you cannot use the voice assistant (so that kind of turns it off).
👍Thank you very much for the review from a girls perspektive.🎉 I hoped that you, as a girl, would say something to the fact that there is no dance tracking. Not a single one. And no automatically tracking of dancing (This is very impotand for me - thats the only point where Fitbit is better). I hoped that you would say whats your workaround for this missing feature. But the rest was very helpfull. Thanks.❤
Hey, I always track my dance workouts (ex, zumba, hip hop or latin) with the cardio workout option with Garmin, and it works well! Honestly, I don't find much a difference in the tracking here vs on some Fitbit's that have a dance option. The results ex. calories burned, steps, active mins etc, and very similar differing between less than 5% in my experience. And not all women dance, and I don't think many of my viewers dance often. as I get just maybe a handful of dance questions a year vs hundreds of questions others for other activities, so I didn't focus on dance in the video. And thanks for sharing 😊
@@AbbyBReviewing 🙏Thanks for answering my question.👍 I have a last question: So, you use "cardio". But does it start and stop automatically? Because I joyn "DJ Evening" Events and there I dance, than take a break, dance again, take a break. I do not Start a Workout manually than stop it and Start it again... - my Fitbit starts and stop the tracking automatically (Well sometimes it tracks it as "swimming"😂 instead of "Aerobic", but never the lass it tracks it). Is this the same with the 3s Cardio ? Thanks again for your your great Review. ❤️
No problem! And it can start and stop automatically but I don't find that function on Garmin or Fitbit the most accurate. Good thing is with the Venu 3s you just press one button to pause and re-start a workout if needed. I use that function if taking breaks while working out for the most accurate results.
Thanks for a great review: I've watched several! My fitness tracker is on its way out and I've been looking at alternatives. The most annoying thing is that it's barely more than 2 years old! I would consider a Garmin to be an investment so was wondering if you could tell me approximately how long they last? My other issue is that I have small wrists. If the tape measure is not too snug, I measure at 16cm (just under 6 and a half inches) I love the idea of solar charging but I think that watch might be a bit too big for me!
Hi, In my experience a Garmin watch can last many years but, it really depends on how you take care of it. This watch does not have solar charging, and I don't find it too big on me. However, sizing is definitely a personal preference thing.
@@AbbyBReviewing Hey Abby, thanks for your reply. I couldn't remember the name of the other watch. It was the Fenix S solar, I'm more familiar with the names now that I've watched more videos! I always take care of my stuff but I think this issue with the display is one that is quite common. I'm going to wait until autumn before I decide.
Hey!! Can you or do you know if you want receive ring notifications from your doorbell or camera. I don’t mind not being able to se it but just a ping to say RING would be great? X
Hi, you can get all your phones notifications on the watch, so if you have the Ring notifications turned on your phone they will come to your watch as well.
@@AbbyBReviewing thank you so much for your response I really appreciate it. Do you recon I’ll be the same with Garmin venu 3. Thank you once again!!!! X
Coming from a vivoactive 4s... im looking at both the venu 2s and 3s. I do not want to use the phone features at all (i dont like talking thru a watch lol😅) but im worried if i go for 2s i will be missing getting the latest and greatest. Altho it does seem thr 2s has all thr features i want? Ugh its hard to decide!!! Any help from anyone who has these? Thanks!!
Hey, I've actually done a comparison between the venu 2s vs 3s, I'd recommend watching it if you haven't already it may help with your decision: ruclips.net/video/VoEAaiFXuv8/видео.html
It just occurred to me, I know some pulse oximeters are less effective on darker skin. Maybe it might be worth testing the accuracy of pulse oxes on different skin tones in future reviews?
Hello, actually, my partner has a fair skin tone. He also wears Garmin and has the same pulse ox issues, so I dont believe that affects it, from my experience. And I know many people have issues with the pulse ox regardless of skin tone from the many of the reviews I've read and the comments/messages I've gotten.
Hi, Can you tell me how to set up this watch face on venu 3? I was able to do the same but only showing analog watch not the digital one like on yours. Thank you :)
Hello, the watch face I'm using came pre-installed on my Venu 3S, it already had a digital watch face I only changed the colour and data fields. I don't have the Venu 3 so I am not sure if it has different watch faces pre-installed. But if you go to the edit section under that specific watch face you are seeing should be able to see if you can change the clock style or not.
Hello! Yes, there is but it's kind of a "watered down" version in my opinion. As there are no built-in maps on the Venu watches, also you can only navigate to saved locations. You will see a compass pointing you in the direction to travel. It is not as detailed or strong of navigation compared to what you would find on the more expensive Fenix watch that has built-in maps, a compass, and clearer navigation instructions, and you can navigate to many places not just saved locations for example.
Hi Abby, great video :) Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I am new to Garmin - does the watch display distance while you are running? E.g. could you glance down at your wrist and see easily how many kilometres/miles you have run so far? I'm looking for something that could track a 5K run without having to plan out a route in advance!!
Hello, Can you test it how the notifications look like on the watch, especially the images in the notifications? If the notification on your Android phone contains image, how the watch shows that.
Hello, I've already done a video showing how notifications appear on Garmin watches here: ruclips.net/video/zcvz-M5ofnc/видео.html and they look the exact same on the Venu 3S. Also, images are not shown in the watch notifications it will just say "Image" instead.
Hello! I've already made a best Garmin smartwatches for women 2023 video here: ruclips.net/video/wgSiy-Mi2TM/видео.html, and I'll be coming out with an updated 2024 version soon, so stay tuned :)
@alexiarobles5818 hi, i said it can last up to 10 days thats what Garmin quoted but battery life results very heavily depending on your individual usage. I don't get 10 days myself, i did share my battery life results in the video.
I got one!! I love it but I’m constantly having problems of connectivity. If I’m at my bedroom and my phone is in the living room instantly disconnected and I don’t know if that’s normal? HELP PLEASE !! 😭😭😭
Hello! This watch has a set Bluetooth range that it needs to be connected to your phone, if your out of that (ex. leave your phone in one room and move somewhere else with walls/distance between) you may have connection dropping issues. That is normal, and there's nothing that can fix that other than bringing your phone with you to have a strong connection.
The Venu 2 Plus has a working ECG function. It was added (at least in the US) after regulatory approval. There's no reason to expect any different with the Venu 3 and 3S - it's just a question of the timetable. Also, Garmin needs regulatory approval (I believe) before activating the body temperature sensor on the Venu 3/3S.
My missus have this 2 months now and with lowest settings possible it holds 5 days max. No activity , AOD off , Pulse ox off etc. Advertised is 10 days with those settings. I wonder what people get? Anyone else could chime in what they are getting? The watch after charge says 10 days but discharge 22% per day ish.
Hello, I mentioned in the video my battery life results, which were longer than that, but battery loge will vary depending on your useage. I'd recommend putting the brightness on low, turning off the bluetooth and wifi off also as they drain the battery faster. Also, try changing the watch face she is using. The one you are using may be causing the higher battery drain as well. And I'd reach out to Garmin's customer service for help if nothing changes.
@@AbbyBReviewing thanks Yes all settings are on lowest, brightness is lowest and auto , pulse ox is off , no activities , she even turned off notifications on watch and max we are getting is 5 days from 100% to 0%. Will be sending this for repair 🤦🏻♂️
@@AbbyBReviewing yes I will reach to garmin tomorrow as it’s nowhere near your battery life and that’s with no activities and I see you are getting 7 with 3 activities. Just checked there is no WiFi off option there in settings. Only option is to disconnect from WiFi network but not to turn WiFi off.
Hi. Can you please help me. I need a watch but I do not know which one. I am 60 years old. I need a phone that track my steps,, hart rate, oxygen levels and sleep. Thank you so so much
Hello, good news is every Garmin watch I've reviewed on the channel can track all of that. Feel free to check out my Garmin playlist below for more info on specific watches: ruclips.net/p/PLj1R-thNvAXexe2Prq4WXmY94SKwgtpv2 and I'd recommend choosing one with the design and price point you prefer most since they can all do what your looking for. The Venu 3S here is a good option as well!
Hello, I don't have an iPhone to check that but with an iPhone for text messages you can view but not reply and I believe its the same is true for WhatsApp messages
Hello, I found that the Venu 3S had more accurate activity tracking and more workout options overall. If you're looking for a closer comparable option to the Venu SQ 2, that would be the Vivoactive 5 in my opinion.
Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE 💜. And what you think of this watch? :)
@ms.penguin6252 great to hear, your liking my picks! And thanks for sharing 😊

Great video Abby! You covered everything I wanted to know :)
Thank you :) and glad you liked it Annie!
Thank you so much for this review. I'm thinking of gifting this to myself for my 28th birthday
I just bought it for my 29th!
Thank you Abby, your reviews are super helpful!
I'm glad you are finding them helpful :)
Thank you so much.
This was helpful thank you!!
I'm happy you found this helpful amy0012! :)
Thanks for sharing your experience. Going to switch from Fitbit versa 2 to venu 3s.. fingers crossed 🤞
Thanks for the review! Which do you prefer, the Venu 3s or the Epix pro 42 mm? I love my Epix, but I find it a bit chunky and I never use maps and many of the extra stuff it has.. So I am considering the Venu 3s! 😅
Hello, out of the two I do prefer the Venu 3S!
Great review! Thanks for sharing 🩷
Thank you 💜
Thank your for sharing your wrist size!
Thank you for the awesome review. Do you know if the Spotify syncing issues have been resolved in the meanwhile?
Hello, still the same for me it works, but it can take a few attempts to add larger playlists.
Thanks so much...love this video. Ju got the venu s3 and am setting it up..how do you cahnge the colour display please? 💛🙏🏽
@poonamahir2554 hello, and thank you! To change the colour go to the watch faces, and click the pencil icon them choose colour.
Great review! Thank you!
Thanks 💜
Hi Abby! Quick question: can the Venu 3 display all trail maps? Or do you have to check that on your phone?
Hello! Maps won't be displayed on the watch as it doesn't have built-in maps. However, you can see your tracked GPS route/map on your phone in the app after a GPS workout.
Thank you !!
Great review and flow of information! Thank you! I purchased and transitioning from iPhone.
Thanks 💜. And nice ai hope you enjoy it!
great review, thank you abby!
do you think this is worth getting over the new lily 2 active?
Thank you! And I've actually recently compated those two watches. You can find that video here: ruclips.net/video/JeNCPpH1FX0/видео.html :)
@@AbbyBReviewing oh that’s fantastic, thank you!!
Abby do you think the Fenix 6x Pro is sill worth buying now?
Hello, I haven't used the Fenix 6X Pro as its too big for me and I only wear/review the smaller more compact watches. That being said I do have the Fenix 6S Pro, and I still love it in 2023! And use it regularly, it works great & still getting updates. So I think the Fenix 6X Pro would be worth the buy, especially if you can grab it at a nice sale price :)
Hi Abby, which watches do you think are best for tracking sleep? Great video! Thanks for the review!
Hello, pretty much any Fitbit is great for sleep tracking. And thank you! 😊
Good review, but I might as well keep my 2s until I upgrade to maps. Thanks Abby for informing
Thank you! And true. Maps would be a great upgrade in the Venu series. Hopefully, we get that in the future.
Great video, could you also compare this to the Epix Pro 42? Is the Epix much larger/thicker compared to the Venu 3s?
Hi, thank you! And the Epix is noticeably larger/ thicker than the Venu 3S here.
Venu 3S: 40g, 41 x 41x 12mm
Epix 42mm: 63g, 42 x 42 x 14.2mm
Hi, thanks for the review! Do you know if the watch face visible with polarised sunglasses?
Hi, I can read/view the display with my polarised sunglasses on. However, it looks noticeably darker than looking at it without glasses on.
Very informative review👍
@@jackl8133 thanks 😊
would like to check exercise metrics for running, hiit, strength, cardio and thank you for your video
Not sure if that is a question or statement with no question mark there lol. But the Venu 3S can track those exercises and can track many metrics such as reps, calories burned, pace, distance, intensity mins, laps, heart rate, heart rate zones & more.
I returned the fr265s and I will order de venu3. This watch is more feminine imo❤. thanks for the review
I hope you enjoy the Venu 3S ❤.
Great review , cheers from Brazil 🎉, thanks!
Thank you 💜
Great review.
Hi, yes, you can
Perfect! 🤩 Can I also ask, is it possible to have the do not disturb enabled for different times for different days, like on the Epix and FR265s or is it set for all days? 😃 I always have it different for week days and weekends.. 😅
@@ToneStava Hi I can be auto enabled during sleep other than that you need to turn it off and on manually
@@amazinghorsecountry Hello, it uses a charging cable.
I just ordered the Venu 3🙌🏻
Nice! I hope you enjoy it :)
Hi Abby. I hope you are having a wonderful day. What protective screen cover would you recommend for this particular watch?
I see there are a) screeprotectors and b) cases
Can you tell me what you advice about that?
Hello, i don't know Garmin has not released that information yet. But, if you want a watch now the Venu 3S is a great option
So if we do want good sleep tracking what is a good choice? My charge 4 just died
…. Need to read in sun, decent gps and batteryspo2
So, I'd say go with a Fitbit for good sleep tracking, or go with a Garmin for good (everything else you listed). Unfortunately you cant get all you want in one watch at the moment, so you need to pick and choose what's most important to you.
hi abby would you know if this one tracks indoor badminton? or would you know which garmin tracks it? thanks
Hello, yes it does track badminton. And you can see all the activities it can track in activity tracking section of this video! Find it here: 04:39
Wow! So nice! 😍😍😍 Thank you!
😊💜
Hi Abbey., I really love your reviews but I can't find anything on screen protectors. Would you direct me to the review that has it or share it here?
Hello, I found a screen protector on amazon that is decent. I've added a link for it in the video description!
Also, I wanted to note after applying, mine had a few air bubbles but they disappeared within ~24 hours after installation!
Can you use it to control your phones camera/see a preview of the frame before you record/take pictures
@futuresuperstar4life Hello, you can't do that.
I’m thinking of buying this one or Apple 9 series? Can someone please advise as I cannot decide. I’ve got Garmin 245 music at the moment.
@lucyreid3141 hello, i haven't had that issue personally. It may have been a software glitch, possibly.
Workout tracking… does anyone know whether ‘dance’ is an option to select?
Hi, I showed the activities it can track at 04:30 in the video. And there is no dance tracking. Alternatively, you could use the cardio option to track dance activities.
Which would you reccomend- Lily 2, Venu3s or Vivomove trend? Xx
Hi i bought the garmin venu 3s for black friday. I need to know the name for your screen profil please??
@ranjanivivekanantham7792 Hello, I'm actually using one of the preinstalled watch faces, so it does not have a name.
@AbbyBReviewing oh i couldn t find that face
Is it possible to turn off voice assistent, microphone and spoken messages?
Hi, not really, you can either choose to set it up and use voice assistant or not set it up and not use it. Alternatively once voice assistant is set up, if your wifi and bluetooth functions are turned off on your watch you cannot use the voice assistant (so that kind of turns it off).
Question - Does the skin temperature tracking tie in to the Women's Health? It would be awesome if it did!
Hello, no it does not. I showed what the women's health has to offfer at 07:26 in the video!
Is there a eSIM card function?
Hi, no there is not.
@@AbbyBReviewing Ah, o.k. that sounds really good. 👍 My Fitbit battery is getting worse - and I think I will be changing to Garmin 3s then😉
Thanks for a great review: I've watched several! My fitness tracker is on its way out and I've been looking at alternatives.
The most annoying thing is that it's barely more than 2 years old! I would consider a Garmin to be an investment so was wondering if you could tell me approximately how long they last?
My other issue is that I have small wrists. If the tape measure is not too snug, I measure at 16cm (just under 6 and a half inches)
I love the idea of solar charging but I think that watch might be a bit too big for me!
Wonderful information-I just quit Whoop & am looking for a different fitness tracker. QQ: is there a haptic option for alarm?
Hello! Yes, you have an option to do vibration, sound or both for alarms.
Can the watch connect with airpod? Thank you. I really need to know thay before decided to buy
Hi, I don't have airpods so can't test that for you but they should connect to any Bluetooth compatible headphones or earbuds.
Yes it can
@@KellyR456 no problem! And yes it is.

Can you answer calls for iphone or only option is available for android
Hello, it's supposed to be compatible with iPhone and Androids, so it should work. But I am an andriod user currently, so i can't test that for you..
Im looking for a b day present for my gf and this video is really good, thanks
Oh nice! And thank you 😊
Hi! Is there navigation?
Would you say this watch or a apple watch 8 is better?
I would choose this
@@AbbyBReviewing Thank you so much. Ive been going back and forth.
Hello and thank you! Yes the watch does show distance when running. You can choose either km or miles for the distance as well.
Perfect, thank you!! It seemed so in your video so just wanted to check. :)
Does the watch ring and vibrates when getting phone calls or messages?
Hello, it can do both if you turn on vibration and sound for alerts.
Can you do the best Garmin watch for women?
Hello! I've already made a best Garmin smartwatches for women 2023 video here: ruclips.net/video/wgSiy-Mi2TM/видео.html, and I'll be coming out with an updated 2024 version soon, so stay tuned :)
I just bought one and when I charge it 100% says the duration is for 6 days.
Why do you say it lasts 10? 😳 Do I to change something in the settings?
@@AbbyBReviewing thank u so much for your reply! Is it normal that when I connect the watch it shows me as a 2 devices Bluetooth connected? 🥲
does it have ECG?
Hi, not it does not but, it's rumoured it may be added in the future as the new heart rate sensor does have those components.
Would you happen to know if this watch has airplane mode?
Hi, I don't see one unless I missed it. But, you can always turn off the Bluetooth when flying if needed.
How's call quality?
Hi, call quality is good in my experience. Could be heard well on both ends as long as you're close to your phone.
@@AbbyBReviewing thanks
Yes all settings are on lowest, brightness is lowest and auto , pulse ox is off , no activities , she even turned off notifications on watch and max we are getting is 5 days from 100% to 0%.
Will be sending this for repair 🤦🏻♂️
@@AbbyBReviewing also there is no settings to turn off WiFi. I believe it’s always off unless you need it then it activates
Has anyone managed to connect all trails app please?
Nice watch
If I have iPhone I can send messages from the watch to WhatsApp??
Hello, I don't have an iPhone to check that but with an iPhone for text messages you can view but not reply and I believe its the same is true for WhatsApp messages
I bought it 3 days ago, absolutely beautiful watch, but it won't connect to my Huawei p30 pro. I'm so sad and mad at the same time.
Sorry to hear that. Only bright side is you can use the smartwatch independently without your phone.
I’m wondering if 3S is comparable with the sq2? In terms of its activities tracking. Would appreciate your inputs 🫶🏾
Hello, I found that the Venu 3S had more accurate activity tracking and more workout options overall. If you're looking for a closer comparable option to the Venu SQ 2, that would be the Vivoactive 5 in my opinion.
so beautiful❤
Very helpful review, thank you!
Im glad you found this helpful, thanks for sharing!
