Every time I see Dark Helmet throwing away all that stuff from the desk I laugh so much!
The Dark Schwarz is so strong in him!
"As you can see, Lonestar,my Schwartz is as big as yours."
1:19 was this an inspiration for Jar Jar? :D
Best scene ever in Spaceballs!
There are SO many great scenes in the movie, so the competition is tough, but this is in the top ten. Other top scenes are Dark Helmet's first entrance, ludicrous speed, the videotape scene, the Dark Helmet vs Lone Star battle including "I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate", Youghurt's merchandizing, the airshield combination, the beaming scene... Fabulous movie. Sure there are a few hit-and-miss jokes and some cheap under-the-belt stuff but that is very little and IMHO easy to ignore when there are so many really, really good gags.
i've seen this movie dozens of times and i'm only just noticing now at 1:43 Colonel Sandurz makes a face at the incoming camera and gets out of the way 😂 this movie is gold
Funniest moment beside Yoda's phlegm IMO.
I love how everyone behind him didn't really care and just get back to work when he fell. 😂
I like the scene where he rams head-first into the bulkhead and then says, "smoke 'em if you got 'em." when he regains consciousness.
He says “smoke em if you got em” and then faints.
This was always an amazing scene, but my favorite part as a kid was the second time he says "I'm having trouble with the radar sir" and it's still distorted. Still gets me!
01:06 you can actually hear him trying not to laugh as he repeats the line.
If you look closely, Michael Winslow does all the effects for the radar as it's happening.
No fracking duh. It's so incredibly obvious.
I can't believe I didn't notice that.
Well duh, he's famous for doing sound effects. Go back and watch the Police Academy movies he was in. He did the same thing.
Man people just do not get sarcasm on the internet huh
That’s the joke
The zoom in camera joke never gets old 😂
1:06 when you get tired of something
Thank you for tuning into captain obvious daily routine.
I honestly can’t fathom how you write a movie like this. The type of mind that can create this is beyond my understanding. It’s just genius.
0:40 is the best part
I just like how at 1:43 Dark helmet gives Colonel the backhand to move away for his monolog and then the Colonel turns and reacts to the camera getting closer. I forgot the small moments throughout the movie that broke the 4th dimension with everyone constantly remembering this was a movie being filmed.
Dude this was one of my favorite movies as a kid, it's still amazing!
1:05 always fucking cracks me up dude, did so as a kid and still does today. His voice not changing even with the phone being put away and Dark Helmet angrily tossing it to the side, pure gold
I miss the glory days of Michael Winslow (Police Academy) He was really good. XD I was happy to see him in Spaceballs. Oh My God, I bet the outtakes are jammed up in-store.
Man, I love this movie! This scene in particular is always hilarious! Even Winslow can barely hold it together!
Michael Winslow is a national treasure
Michael Winslow always makes me smile. I swear the part where he rips off the chord you can hear Winslow almost laugh~
Michael Winslow has always been Awesome!
I love that jam doesn't start leaking through the screen when he says it.
well it didn't appear to be jammed until they saw the jam
This and the princess bride are the best movies of all time
ARRRRGH! *wakes up from coffin* Oh...it's nighttime. I vas having a daymare.
