When I first heard this, I thought it must be an oldie I'd missed from sometime around late 1977. So fantastic to find this is the sound of TODAY! Absolutely love it - thank you.
Karen Carpenter meets Lisa Stansfield in this nice mellow disco pop song.I'm glad to see that 70's/80's disco is a source of inspiration for many new artists. We need more songs like this one
Totally agree. First heard it on BBC Radio 2 and loved it, plus her other songs. This is one of my go to songs when I'm feeling bleeuurrrrghhh!! Picks me up all the time:-)
Oh, I so love this! I first saw Rumer on "Later... with Jools Holland," and this is one of the songs they performed. It is so reminiscent of late 70's disco -- Donna Summer; The Trammps; Chic; Earth, Wind & Fire; and etc. Lovin' it!!! Where's my mirror ball? 😀👍✌
This could be huge on the Soul Scene. I hope the more enlightened DJs pick up on it - and it's released on vinyl of course! Only vinyl will do this smooth retro-dancer justice.
Top pop. Great voice. And the arrangement? Extraordinary! It has the gruyere coated fingerprints of Burt Bacharach all over it. Delicious. Thank you Rumer!
I was simply hoping that a video was made of this song from your latest album and boom! Here it is... Love this song so much! Very different and very unexpected. The video was quite interesting but I enjoy it very much. Your voice and your album is just what I need these last few months. Thank you and more power to you Rumer!
The title perfectly captures what it feels like to get over a bad break-up and be really cautious, but also aware that you desire someone new. The story is a raw and realistic take about moving on and (cautiously) finding the right one. :) Been looping this song since yesterday. :)
Look out for news about Rumer’s fill live stream concert broadcast from London. Tickets are 7.50 and include a free download of a new original song. Sign up to the mailing list at www.rumer.co.uk for updates!
Only heard this song for the first time last week and now I can’t stop listening to it. Rumer is an amazing singer and definitely underrated. Her version of A House is not a Home is my favourite
Love this song version. I love your voice and all your songs. Love from France - Paris Rumer ! i would like so much to see you in concert. When will you come and sing at Paris ?
Outside UK/smooth music radio channels/airport lounges, this young lady is STILL not getting record sales/'commercial radio' 9 to 8pm airplay that she deserves, whilst artists in the mould of Adele do with their non-subtle 'wailing/cackling' voices. Great song constructions (e.g. this song; great bridge passage with chord change and glissando piano arpeggios - remember bridge passages in song construction rather than a half-arsed rap?). Silky voice but without wailing in extremes of register (which gets misconstrued as middle-of-road/mundane), that she replicates 100% live. Use of brass/real instruments recorded in traditional high-fidelity style. Please buy her new album..
Why can't Rumer have popularity like non talented singers like Swift and Bieber? We need more music like this! Why is all the goid singers kept out of the lime light? Smh
I love it! I love everything you do. You have a beautiful, buttery, rich voice! 'Slow' is my favorite of your songs. Your voice reminds me of Karen Carpenter. I would die and love to see you live and in person as you return to Daryl's house, where I first heard you.
fujikota i love the song i travel quite alot and lives having a bath to your stuff in bangkock ,nothings changed but no bath in udaipur Rajesthan where im based nw. love your voice X
This was played a few minutes ago in a supermarket chain here in Germany and I had to google the lyrics, nice disco vibes! Never heard of this song before!
Dalla prima volta che l'ho sentita la sua voce mi ricorda incredibilmente Karen Carpenter. Sono un appassionato dei Carpenters e mi piace molto ancre Rumer.
When I first heard this, I thought it must be an oldie I'd missed from sometime around late 1977. So fantastic to find this is the sound of TODAY! Absolutely love it - thank you.
Everything that I love is on this song - RUMER!, beautiful melody, beautiful words and D.I.S.C.O. (with real disco strings!).
Rumer certainly ' has it '. Talent in abundance, yet she is somehow mostly ignored. I love her, and wish her more success.
The best singer of the world. I love Rumer. 🥰❤

Perfectly described.
Dear lord, at the first measure, I thought it was Karen!

Without a doubt, the best version of this song by a million miles.
Here is the Dangerous video, featuring dancers from the English National Ballet.. I hope you like it!
Your voice is so magical, reminds me of Karen carpenters voice so lovely ♡
Lyndsey M I know, right?! It's amazing! :D
Fab. Really 70's Philly. Love it. Is there an extended mix with those lush strings?
i love it!! the beat, the style, the tune, and the instruments used somewhat takes me back in time when i was in college during the 70's.
This could be huge on the Soul Scene. I hope the more enlightened DJs pick up on it - and it's released on vinyl of course! Only vinyl will do this smooth retro-dancer justice.
So good to hear new Rumer songs, her voice is so good.
Top pop. Great voice. And the arrangement? Extraordinary! It has the gruyere coated fingerprints of Burt Bacharach all over it. Delicious. Thank you Rumer!
Wow! What a discovering! When you find an 80's style song in this times, you only can say... "BRAVO!!!!". This songs is a real jewel I've discovered!
Fabulous -- has that wonderful old school melodic dance emotional sweep -- Great job !!

3:26 and on is where I stand up and dance like crazy. So brilliant!
