Sarah Joyce (aka Rumer) is probably the the best female voice to emerge over the last decade or two. Love this song so much.......just can't understand why she's not a major Star yet. Robin Topping 8th Nov 2014
That mixture of strings, horns and choirs never fails to create a great song, even better when a sweet voice is performing. Love this song with certain air of 70s
No one mentioned Karen Carpenter, this lady has a real voice a unique voice that not many female vocalist have, my own opinion is this is a track that has feeling, you can understand the words, the live bands are alive with the rhythm and all in time, to sing this live and to sound as good as she does is remarkable, sounds as if it's recorded in a studio, fantastic artist, well done.
I discovered this tune from my home insurance helpline. Is your love too dangerous was playing while I waited to be put through. So I looked it up on RUclips and found the song.
Something went wrong with the sound setup, I think the brass is too muted and the main singers mic volume was too high which meant she had to sing quietly - just my opinion.
I was thinking "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind". But I can hear what your hearing. It's the 70's horn/string Johnny Allen-esque arrangement. Good ear. :)
Lacking something in performance this track, sounds good on the radio though. She's got a great voice but missing some 'welly' here, must be a lot going on behind her and maybe hard to hear herself in the mix?
Rumer has an amazing voice but something seemed off on this performance. Her energy was completely flat and she didn't show off the voice she has. I feel like she couldn't hear herself or something, poor love. Slow is one of my favourite songs
this could be a good song - great musical backing - but it has to be one of the worst for being sung in an entirely uninspiring way. 'is your love love too dangerous'...might as well pour it out of a gravy boat...
AcridPeter You obviously replied to my comment very quickly. Is your BUZZ to throw negative shit out, and wait for a response? If that's the case, you really need some therapy mate. You obviously have no class.....France (which has the best cuisine on the planet) prides itself on, to quote you, "insubstantial garnish"
Robin Topping It's 2014, we're all connected. My BUZZ is good music performed with conviction, which this insipid dreck demonstrably isn't. You're right. I probably don't have any class, but there we go. I'm incredibly handsome; you can't have it all. Surely France isn't still recognised as having the best cuisine on the planet! It's not the 80s.
AcridPeter You've made a couple of good points mate. You're the same as me in that respect, i.e. you're not shy in expressing your opinion with real conviction. Cheers for that from Robin Topping

Robin Topping Can't disagree with that statement. I wonder why as well.
Maggie Reilly has a much better voice ))
No doubt at all

Love it, you can actually hear and understand the words, refreshing.
The wonderful Rumer, absolute perfection
love Rumer. Thanks for posting it
what a magic song and singer
A voice as smooth as silk
RUMER you are up there with the best
Her contralto tone is really magical
I think she should be chosen to sing the next James Bond Movie Sound Track.
Great idea!
Better than the dreaded Adele in my opinion!
Amer Malik great voice subtle but pure
I think Dangerous would make a good bond song
Understated as always.
great musicians even the sour faced violinist , gorgeous singer !
what a great singer an a great song
At the piano is Rob Schrock he was the man behind BURT BACHARACH with his concerts and the pianist for Dionne Warwick
Sublime stuff.
Ash Soan grooovin hard...
This woman has got a voice!
She sound so good
Really good song, voice and arrangement. Congratulations SJ, I have your LP playing on my turntable.

Her voice is made to do a Karen Carpenter covers album

Estás mucho más favorecida con el pelo negro oscuro que con el color rubio.Y cantas como los ángeles. !
very nice...
Must b a top 10
Love this girl but something missing from this performance sadly
Hey nice voice.
Something went wrong with the sound setup, I think the brass is too muted and the main singers mic volume was too high which meant she had to sing quietly - just my opinion.
Hey + listen to her singing Alfie majestic
It sounds so different to the radio..
Hey I love you voice all blessings would love to do some backing for you
Is it me, or does this sound just a bit like Theme From Shaft (musically, at least)?. Otherwise, sounds as lovely as ever.
It's certainly got a great 70s disco backing and treatment, but that's just fine and dandy by me. You can't beat strings and a disco beat.
Dave Mclean
Yup, can't argue with that. I'll be buying the album next week...along with Judas Priest's Metalogy, seriously. A fine combination!
I was thinking "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind". But I can hear what your hearing. It's the 70's horn/string Johnny Allen-esque arrangement. Good ear. :)
fine
She's great, but I'd love to see her really get into the song. Put a little more feeling to it!
Made disco years before the new wave of Jessie Ware, Beyonce, Ariana etc.

Very astute comment.

Ridiculous.ly.fan.tastic.
iv heard her sound better, she sounds nervous here

Weak fucking sauce. Sounds like an office temp having a go on Karaoke.
Acrid - a word used to to describe an unpleasant smell.
Pretty accurate I'd say.
Robin Topping Robin - a tiny little bird, Topping - insubstantial garnish. Are you Rumer's dad?

Hm I have heard more interesting music from Rumer, this song is incredibly dated
The worst song ever, the sickliest drivel you only hear in a supermarket.
Aye Right !!!
You obviously do not appreciate good music!
Great voice and song, but the girl has no charisma at all. Pity.
