Another great video Brian. I feel like whoever finds you for a re-roof or repair has hit the lottery. Your honesty, willingness, expertise, etc is second to none

Put an oversized screw for a hole that’s too big for that normal screw and then seal it.

Its crazy how much gaco is. Here in North Florida its about $400 for a 5 gallon bucket at the supply house.

Brian, not being a ass but as I have said, forever, metal is far superior to juck asphalt shingles. Just my opinion, I love your videos, and ye, you do know how to do asphalt roofs, and your quality is unbelievable. Just facts. Don't take this the wrong way, but if they want you to redo the roof, go metal. Great video.

Your thinking of diamond steel and I think it’s in the United States as well

Probably the most annoying thing to deal with is that when the water tries to evaporate it can blow apart the seal from the inside out.

Fill that screw hole with your good caulking. I see no reason to put a screw back in that's not doing a thing. 😅 you know the wood is rotten.

Since that roof is a little bit historical and bulletproof I’d reccomend them to keep it!!

You probably already know this but there is a company that makes the metal roofing "REPAIR screw" that has a larger O.D. & is longer with a bigger molded in washer with mating rubber washer.

They should definitely just coat the roof, be a shame to tear off a cool historic metal roof like that.
The Canadian company you are thinking of is Diamond Steel Roofing in Ontario. They ship to the US no problem, and have an interlocking metal shingle.

Why not just use flex seal over it? I mean new metal wide roll would work best, painted flat sheet that rustic red and get a bundle if those metal shingles so the new screws and clips are covered by a row of new metal tiles on each side. Fool proof
