- So today I got some more robots in and this one really interested me. So in this video I decided to record me taking it apart and fixing the issue which was simple but a first for me just shows you never know what can be wrong with these things . Also make sure to pick up trash that can cause issues before vacuuming.

How do I get my shark sweep/mop brush to spin. It comes up with error 2. One brush does not spin & keeps telling me to check under it.

This was somewhat helpful, but my rv750 wheel assembly is covered by the bottom. I removed the battery and all of the screws, however, I will need to separate the bottom from the top. Do you have a youtube showing how to separate the bottom from the top so that I can access the wheel assembly?
I have a Shark IQ and it got a little wet today, and no longer recognizes it's base charger. Any ideas?
If I have a Shark AI with xl base that thinks it's too close to a ledge to operate, can I buy a IQ and it charge & use the self empty base I already have?

What is acceptable voltage for a battery? I have a 14.8V and it is reading as 11Vm, not sure if that is enough or time to replace.
Hey, where can I find someone in my city (Miami) that does this type of repairs. I got mine for Christmas...got wet and stopped working. It charges but the buttons don’t work and when I try to start it from the app the clean and dock start blinking. It says to clean the cliff sensors, I did but that doesn’t fix the problem. I’m about to throw it away and have only had it for 2 months. Any suggestions?

I was literally just shuttering at you dropping your screw in a pile of other screws and your spit bottle and then at that very moment you acknowledge it 😂 looking for a video to help with a grumbling sound. I found this, which doesn’t help, but I did learn I need to change my filter!!

Mine say obstruction #2 please check under Robot. I took everything apart and cleaned really well. Seem like the right wheel tries to move but the left side locks up. Do I need a new wheel or just a sensor

It ran over dog poop I clean with a wet sponge and soap when it turns on it only flashes a red battery. On the charger same thing I have 4 volt on the robot and 19.8 on the charging base and I replaced the battery still nothing and is this worth fixing and do you sell refurbished robot

Buster Barnes remove the screws separate the body then remove each wheel and then take them part.

Hey man, I started having an awful sound with my ion, and realized the main brush wasn’t spinning. Replaced the motor and still having issues. Any idea what else it could be?
Did you check to make sure the case itself that the motor goes and wasn’t melted and that the belt had good tension
Video gives me hope. Our shark fell into the shower without out us knowing. I accidentally turned the shower on it while it was upside down. At that point only one wheel was turning.
Is this a fixable problem and are there parts out there ?

My shark ion is 14 months old. I keep getting error 6 to make sure the bumper is moving freely. It is moving fine and I have cleaned the sensors. Customer service simply offered a discount on a new one. Is it worth trying to take the bumper off to see if there is something under it, like dog hair, causing an issue?
I have the same issue with mine. I took the bumper off and cleaned it, but I still get the same error. I just called customer service and they said it's unfixable. That seems odd to me.

Hi I have a RV700_N and the MAX light just flashes and it doesn’t start up. I took off both wheels and there nothing in there. What else could it be?
Rocio Ramos that probably is the front bumper being stuck. Remove it and see if the metal pieces are bend
My 1001 model had a head on collision with my dogs poop and after cleaning it up, it gives me error 14 that is it is stuck on the magnetic boundary strip so I took the bumper off and clean those sensors off also, even thou I didn't see anything that cleaning could have helps and after re-assembling it, it's still error 14 and it's now saying it is stuck on the magnetic strip or also that the bumper is stuck. If there is a sensor gone bad, how can you determine which one to replace? Thanks
Hmm thats interesting do you have a strong magnet or speaker laying around? Might be stuck and be able to run the magnet around the on the top and bottom to loosen it up. Might also want to take the whole robot part and make sure nothing inside of it a lot of times the issue isn't the poop its the fluid and pee around the poop that makes the motherboards and sensors go bad.

Alexandra Ryan yes five torx bit screw and pops apart then you will need to rebrand the metal tabs on that side

Mine has the same problem. Push CLEAN, it goes about 3 feet the the red clean and ! come on. I need help also.

Thanks, I checked the battery, and it was charged. But you showing me there was an on-off switch did the trick (DUH!). It's now clearing the floor.

I have a shark robot that is 2 years old and just started spinning in a circle. Will not do anything other than spin to the right in a circle. I have cleaned everything. Replaced the front wheel. Hasn’t helped. Advice?
Have you taken the right and left wheels apart and cleaned? Could be sensor issue, motor issue , gears going bad in one side, or motherboard not sending correct voltage .

Hey man. Mine won’t work. I did everything cleaned it all out and checked everything. When I put it on the dock and press clean it lights up blue and the battery flashed 1 red bar and then to 3 red bars and then nothing happens. Help!
This is exactly what mine is doing. Ordered a new battery. It comes today. I guess we'll see if that fixes it.
The one wheel on mine just spins freely. I can’t find anyone to repair it. Do you have any suggestions?
Watch my videos find the part on ebay and order the tools you need on amazon. Saves you a ton of time and money or just order a new one and sell the old one for parts.

Hi, I have a Shark ion 1001ae. I love it. Anyway it's giving an error message that won't go away. Error #10 put me on a flat surface. It's on the flat surface and won't start. Please help if you have any tips or lead. I've cleaned all the sensors.
Johnny Marshall sounds like a wheel could be stuck off the ground a little bit. try pushing wheels in and see if they are moving up and downz
@@SmittysWorld thanks. So they go in and out freely. What I notice is that one side clicks when it's pressed past a certain point and the other does not. Are both sides supposed to click?
Johnny Marshall they shouldn’t click could be a broken piece in the wheel making it say it’s not on the ground I’d remove the wheel that’s clicking and examine and compare to the other wheel.

Honestly either take it part and clean everything with 91 percent alcohol let dry and try or throw it away
I have an RV851WV that I can't seem to figure out. It acts completely dead. Tested battery voltage, 13.8 V, charger shows 19V across the terminals, switch flips on and off, and can't seem to get it to power up, no lights or chime. Shark customer service said I needed a battery, replaced it and no change. Any recommendations on where to go for diagnosis?

@@SmittysWorld no. My wife turned off the schedule via the app before we went on vacation, came home and it was unresponsive. No one was here to possibly mess with it, and it sat on the dock the whole time.
So somehow just by taking it apart, I managed to make it work. Tore it down to the board, plugged the battery in, and it fired up. Slapped it back together and it's been working fine since. I'm guessing it's got a loose connection somewhere, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Chances of finding a place to repair it are slim to none. eBay is only place to find parts. I have stopped selling parts because of eBay fees.
My shark IQ is saying too close to a ledge error number seven is there a fix for this it is setting in the middle of the floor
You need to clean the sensors make sure all the sensors are clean now to bring on them and then you need to check your bumper make sure it’s free check your wheels and make sure that they are pushing in and out him and have a good spring tension and sitting on the floor flat and you could be any of those issues. Unfortunately the new roebucks when I have issues isn’t always so simple so you might have to contact shark and if you’re within a year of purchasing it could be under warranty
Would the battery have anything to do with the robot not sensing the charger base?

Hi! My shark ion robot 700_N just won’t turn on, won’t even charge. Bought a new battery and still.... nothing. Charging lights do not come on when it’s on the dock and on the on position, nothing lights up. Any ideas?
Cheyanne Childers could be a few different thing. First most batteries are low or dead on arrival so could be the charger is bad, could be the charging contacts on the bottom of the robot. Could be the on off switch. Worst would be a bad motherboard. Check these things , turn on off robot see if wiggling they’ll switch or on off back and forth will cause it to do anything. Check to make sure power on the charging station is working. If you have a volt meter test the charger , the charging pads and the switch.

Hello. My shark ion has been bumping into everything since the day I got it out the box. I wiped off the sensors but nothing seems to help. What else can I do? Please help!
Mikesha Huntley when you mean bumping it just going till it hits something then turns and moves to another area and bumps something ? This is normal unless you have a shark iq robot . These robots have a feature built in that slows them down before they hit something but it’s normal to hit everything .
@@SmittysWorld Yes, that is exactly what it does. This is my 2nd shark robot, the 1st one did not bump into anything so I'm not use to this. I currently have the Shark ION Robot Vacuum R75.
Mikesha Huntley some of them are better at slowing down and not hitting stuff as hard but they are random navigation bots unless you buy the 1001 which has a camera and maps out the floor plan. So it’s gonna move around once the bumper gets pushed in it will change direction.

How do you know if the wheel is broken
There is a lot of different ways to tell sometimes not as easy as others. Check to see if it’s free spinning or bound up.
Do you do repairs of people ship shark robots to you? No one in Greensboro will work on em!

BROWERPOWER 2010 dog piss will make it not worth fixing it corrodes electrical parts really bad so it’s gonna be nasty and not cheap to fix
My shark runs for luke 10 seconds and says returning home
My robot turns on and works for like 10 seconds then it stops and a red❗️appears I checked on my manual and it says the suction motor needs something done. Ok so what happened to my robot was that my cat sprayed on it lol I know it sucks. The question is can it get fixed???
jay Verduzco suction motor might have gotten spray in it or the motherboard honestly try getting it replaced under warranty before trying to fix it .

jay Verduzco it’s fixable for sure but could get expensive since we don’t know exactly what the true problem is. Take robot apart see if there is any spray corrosion on the motherboard then go from there to the suction motor .

Depends on model 6v to 12v should move it up to 16v

Why is the dirt not going into the dust bin? The rollers have been cleaned. It drops big clumps of dust and hair

Nancy Nguyen clean sensors with rubbing alcohol make sure bin is installed all the way.
Ours was doing the same thing I tried EVERYTHING finally I took my air compressor an cleaned the entire thing with it an the filter got in every crack an crevice an BOOM it worked again ... fyi it was flashing the red ! AN CLEAN good luck i hope this helps because we couldn't find ANY videos telling us what we could do to fix it
