- Welcome to the inaugural event for Carnival Firenze! Join us as we head to the Long Beach Cruise terminal in California for an evening of fun, Italian style. The schedule of events includes a welcome reception along the promenade, a sneak peek at the Festa Italiana lido deck party, a naming ceremony in the Teatro Rosso, dinner in the Michelangelo Restaurant, and lots more more surprises along the way. We'll be onboard for the seven-day inaugural sailing right after this event, as well as the five-day sailing after that, so stay tuned for more vlog fun coming soon!! :D

Great tour around the ship. It's interesting how familiar it looks but different. Loved the look of it. Lots of nice areas and interesting twists on the food places. It was fun to see John Heald and the naming ceremony too.
So awesome - the playlist ingrual cast on this ship are amazing - Eric we watched perform when he was on Carnival Splendor out of Australia last year.
Good that Dee has such a good memory or you would be in trouble a lot of the times Jay 😉
Wow, this inaugural seemed low key, where were all your friends, the other content creators? Seemed like you both had the ship to yourselves, but it made for a great introduction to the ship for those of us back home, wishing we were invited 😊. Thank you for sharing. This is much improved from the short Carnival cruise from Long Beach we took for a 21st birthday. Of course we paid $42 for a last minute decision . Where are you going for 12 days??

We haven't! We were booked for three nights on a nice promo rate before the "original" Firenze inaugural, but when they moved it we had to cancel it. The promo was over and it was over our budget, so we didn't rebook it!! :P

A lot of us are catching ships to new ports. I wish you would know where you’re staying pre-cruise and how did you get there, Uber,taxi,rental car.

You can! There’s a hallway leading straight there that bypasses the casino.
I’m curious why they didn’t paint the funnel in Carnival colors 🤔
With Luminosa, they went more “Carnival” style, but with Venezia and Firenze, they embraced the Italian “Costa” history a little more, which is interesting. Plus, it would have “Costa” bit more to redo those funnels!! :P #joooookes

She’s about five years old, originally built for Costa and transferred to Carnival.

As normal, the day to day experience of sailing with 5,000+ people, how crowd control works, how the event spaces work, how the food and service go, and all that jazz!! :P

No disrespect..but if y’all think you got invited because of your “Carnival Mastercard” you’re high as a kite! You got invited because you’re carnivals “unofficial” brand ambassadors! (Honestly you do a better job than JH, but he can’t say anything BAD if something IS bad because he’s being paid)
Nah, they had “media” invites and “travel agent” invites, but we didn’t receive either. We only qualified because we have the Mastercard, have diamond loyalty status, and were booked on the cruise the next day. Some combination of those triggers got us in. That’s what we were told anyway!! :P
Look for the Australian Bob Dingo and his mom!!
