Nice to see a proper library on a ship these days. A good spot to just relax, do a suduko, and plan for the day. Jay's sense of humor and Dee's endless energy keep me smiling and looking forward to the next notification.
Just off off the Rotterdam, basically the same ship with upgraded bath & showers (amazing water pressure). Very little difference between the 2 classes of ships.
Apparently they were from the previous week, which was a charter cruise. You normally rent them from a third party like ScootAround who delivers them to the port. Presumably they were coming to pick those back up that day.

I think holland would be our second choice for low key cruises right up there with Princess as far as we have heard maybe we will get to give them a try sometime.
I've always loved the embarkation time between when you get on board, and when your cabin is ready. There is that first lunch in the buffet. The anticipation of waiting to see how nice your cabin will be. And depending on how much carry-on luggage you have, perhaps a quick ship self-tour. Our Apex cruise (yea, it was in your video!) is in 11 weeks. Already counting down the days.
I’m so excited to watch this series. I really want to sail on Nieuw Amsterdam. My grandfather came to America through Ellis Island from Holland when he was a little boy on the original Nieuw Amsterdam. Thanks for sharing!
We enjoy the Holland experience for sure! Sometimes they still charge double occupancy for solo travelers, which is unfortunately. It seems that Norwegian might be the best for solo travel, with some Royal ships coming in a close second overall, in terms of having solo cabins and little-to-no solo supplements!! :D
@@parodeejay I don’t like all the nickel and diming on Norwegian cruise line. I’m used to paying double, keep up the great videos! Holland is next for me 🛳 nice and chill

They were decent, middle-of-the-road, we'd say. Not too firm, but not super squishy cozy like we like, ha ha... :P

Nieux Amsterdam has become a favorite ship. We sailed this same itinerary last Nov. Food, staff, music in BB King was great

MDR on Holland has exceptional food either lovely presentation plus the prettiest Delft blue china.
I would go on a Holland America cruise. Older passengers, less likely to see kids.
