I think trying new things food wise is the thing I’m looking forward to the most for our cruise…I love food and I love trying new foods and it feels like the perfect place to try new stuff
This brought back so many wonderful memories. We sailed on this ship for our first ever cruise last June to Norway from Southampton. We live in the UK. This coming June we are sailing on Celebrity Ascent for 10 nights to Italian Riviera and France. Departing from Barcelona and ending in ‘Rome’, where we’ve tagged on 3 nights before heading home. So excited!! Thank you for your fab videos.
I love embarkation day so much!!!❤❤❤ my late mother in law bought my late husband the same shirt that Jay wears. I never asked where she bought it and I can't remember the brand but if you remember where you got Jay's at, my 17 year old son wants one.
Both of our Celebrity cruises have been on the Silhouette (2017 Baltic and Jan 2024 10 day southern Caribbean). I will tell you that their medical staff are really good. I had a scary episode on my recent cruise and was diagnosed with A-Fib and A-Flutter and had to spend the night in the sick bay. They took really good care of me and arranged a visit with a cardiologist in Dominica, where I got the proper meds to resume the cruise. I got shocked back into a normal rhythm in Orlando on January 29th. So far so good.
I am curious. I have researched the possibility of using park by the port. We always park right at the port parking and walk across the street and get on the ship. So I’m trying to figure out what is the benefit of parking out of the port area. I priced out several different scenarios and I just couldn’t see a benefit to park so far away. We have been on over 30 cruises. So if I’m missing something, please let me know what it is.
I was so looking forward to this new vid of the Celebrity Silhouette as I was also on the same sailing. It was great meeting both of you as you two were very friendly and pleasant. Looking forward to all the next vids. Thanks again so much for all you do.
2nd video in a row I picked your entree Jay lol. Nice socks again. Looks like a nice ship. I like how you park. I do a similar thing when I fly out of BWI. I park at the parking spot.
Yeeeah, we starting playing with the Osmo Pocket so that we could add a mic. It’s been interesting to see what settings needed to be tweaked on the fly!! :P
Dee you mention you can breath in the casino? Are they allowed to smoke in there . I'm in Australia 🇦🇺 and have never come across this yet with our ships
Well b on her nxt month.. we did equinox & looks like is a sister ship. Loyalty breakfast in tuscan? Need to look into that.. cant do inside cabins..i find myself sleeping wayyy to late. 😴 Glad u both enjoyed yourselves!
Was this ship refreshed? The room looks really nice. If you’re a captains club member the first serving of gelato is free. On Edge they didn’t even check our cards.

So that's where they put all the rockers from Edge. Had an aft Sky Suite the first month and they pulled all the rocking chairs from the rooms on the last night. I enjoyed it, hated they weren't well received.
The only Solstice class ships we have been on are the Solstice and Eclipse. It is nice to see the Silhouette since it was "revolutionized" before the pandemic. We're looking forward to sailing on it in July.

What a beautiful ship, I have to say Celebrity is my favorite cruise line, can't wait for the rest of the series!
St. Lucia is my favorite. How much does park by ports in Ft. Lauderdale cost daily compared to parking at the port?
They work out to about $11 per day versus $20 at the port. We tend to park for longer periods of time, making it a great savings!! :D

Celebrity generally does not allow smoking in their casinos, as some other cruise lines do.
