Someone else already said it, but i agree its the best moment. Nightcrawler is the one that said it best: Darwins mutations allow his body to adapt to any threat, and survive it. If it sent him away, that means his body thought the best way to survive the Hulk-" (cut to darwin in mexico-) "was to be where the Hulk wasn't."
So what i dont understand is how they even beat the hulk in those simulations if they couldn't even fully annihilate Darwin. I just can't see those children throwing hands with the avatar of toba
So Forge's mutant ability is to build/replicate any technological device/weapon/system. I'm surprised he hasn't had the idea of Reverse Engineering Nimrod, with the ability to analyze and adapt to Children of the Vault's powersets. Then he could build a few of them, and have them stand guard around the Vault. I'd love to see a battle between the Children of the Vault and Nimrods.
My understanding is the power is like a one track mind. Forge gets a prompt and just hyperfixates and solves the problem like a rubix cube. This doesn't make him a smart guy. Things like thinking outside the box and designing variants of Nimrod might be beyond him, at the very least in this story. You see how a small disagreement sets him off while on the mission, he isn't some higher level thinker just a good tinkerer
@@Rhapsodos_X Yeah Forge is definitely not smart like Reed Richards or Tony Stark. He's the mechanic who hits the machine with a wrench and it magically starts working. He can't tell you why it works, it just does.

I honestly thought the COV would disappear into obscurity but this is way better than what I had hoped for in terms of a return to the COV.
Thera are several Mutants that given the time and right circumstances could really reach that God hood that Darwin is at. Storm is technically already a goddess. Iceman and Jean Grey probably could. I could see Franklin Richards regaining his powers. Here a deep cut....Lifeguard, the female half of a set of twins who are themselves half mutants and half Shi'ar Royalty. Her powers are essentially the same ass darwins only she has to be conscious and works to protect others lives as well!
Yh, she has the potential for sure. But she'll always be limited by her reaction speed. Darwin powers just do their own thing and he can control it if I'm not mistaken.
Dawg, rob please, don’t ever apologize for not being “crazy, over excited” your voice is how I traverse the multiverse. And whatever bothered you, you handled like a real one. Keep it up, and thank you !
I swear to God. Darwin is the most broken character in fiction, period. Being able to adapt to anything, the ultimate survival mechanism. Its just awesome. And now he's basically an idea and you can't kill an idea. Like how do you go higher than that!
If his 'body' isn't aware of the threat or whats coming his way, his powers don't manifest. If you were to shoot Darwin with a sniper rifle a mile away, his mutant powers wouldn't manifest. His brains would paint the walls. If he watched you shoot at him with a sniper rifle his body would adapt and he would either manifest intangibility, or his body would manifest armor that would stop/deflect the bullet depending on how cool the writer wants to look. If you dropped a nuke on Krakoa, if darwin didn't see the bomb drop, he would die in the nuclear blast. If he never perceived hulk and he got the back of his head punched, he would die. His powers only were originally supposed to manifest if he was aware of the threat in his general vicinity.
@@thefallencog Mind you all this is a fan-theory because there have been several times in his comic runs that he was hit with an attack he didn't see coming and still adapted. But it is an interesting limitation.
I'd argue Darwin's current powers are only temporary. He never keeps any of his other modifications once he no longer needs them. He adapts to ANYthing, but not EVERYthing. Big difference. Once an adaptation is no longer actively needed, it's basically dead weight, so keeping it would make him less adapted. If anything, the fact that Darwin has to go that above and beyond just to survive in the Vault shows the amount of power in play there. Effectively, they entered a feedback loop where his powers constantly adapted to try and avoid the forces of the Vault, while they constantly adapted in order to pursue him. That's inevitably going to spiral ever higher and push Darwin beyond Omega Level - BUT it also means that the opposing force exists at a similar order of magnitude...
Not really. Darwin's power is to adapt, its an outright ability. The Vaults forces however do not adapt as a matter of ability, they just take what they want and use it to improve. They are just fast learners. The Vault is more like the Borg from Star Trek, incorporating and improving. Now of course the more they improve the better they get at it and because of the time difference they have had a LOT of time to improve. Darwin can do in a second what can take them years to achieve. The ting is with the Vault there is a simple fix and Forge is the answer to it. Its technology at play and Forge can change any technology. In theory Forge could alter the Vault itself and cause it to run time backwards inside, reverting the civilisation inside all the way back to its original state. At that point they could simply blow the damned thing up or just take it apart. Reversing a Temporal Field has been done before in Marvel, many times in fact, so this is not unreasonable. Every problem has an easy fix for Marvel, they just dont want to do it because the threat of the Children is always there and the fans like it.
@@ASavageEye It's by vastly different means, but in order to get a hold of Darwin - whose ability would be hugely benefitial for them to get and exploit - they're actively trying to "adapt" to him in the sense that they're developing technologies for that purpose. Darwin's ability recognizes their efforts as a threat, so the better their means against him get, the more over the top his adaptation becomes. And in turn the Children become more intrigued and put even more effort in, which he again adapts to - spiralling them both higher and higher... However, even with the Vault still around, Darwin would likely lose this immense powers as soon as they safely get him away from there. If it becomes necessary again later, he'll be able to "re-adapt" at that point - but as long as it's no immediate threat to him, there's no point for his ability to keep those adaptations up.
Laura and Dawins story in the Vault sounds a lot like the two people from Invincible who went to another dimension and were trapped there for some time. They took over leadership there, made a life together, grew up into full adults, just to come back finally and speak little of it, if at all, afterward.
I thought for sure that during the first storyline involving the children of the vault and X-Men that Laura Kenny was killed during the escape and that was why it was never brought up because synk is the only one that remembers anything.
That's what we initially were meant to believe, yes, but when you really think about it. How are any of them going to actually kill Laura Kenny or Darwin? The CotV powerful, but those 2 are something else.
The Children of the Vault weren't an experiment to wipe out mutants, they were suppose to only emerge from their time vault once humanity and mutants were both extinct. M day caused them to release early, but they want to wipe out both mutants and humans equally. They went after the X-Men because Sabertooth told them of their existence but they also wiped out a human town to hide their existence. Also, Cyclops said Perro was possibly as strong as Ben Grimm, The Thing, not the incredible Hulk.

I'm glad he is getting the respect he deserves put on his name in the books right now. Cause yeah, he is easily one of the most powerful mutants in existence. He should be functionally immortal AND invulnerable to any attack, given the nature of his powers.
And I have to agree with another comment I saw saying one of the best Darwin moments was when he faced Worldbreaker Hulk and his adaptation was to GTFO as fast as possible lol. That was the right call, for sure. Who could possibly want to go toe to toe with friggin Workdbreaker Hulk? Nobody smart. That's who.
Amazing they tied up this story like that. Perfect
I'm so out of the loop with these stories, the only way to catch up is by your videos. Thank you
Stories like this are awesome. Love the development of Synch . I was sad that younger Laura really didn't care to dive into that love story 😢. But ultimately things worked out now. I dont expect old woman Laura to be here forever but it does feel good seeing them together. Would love to see a potential child born from these two😅. Isn't it weird how a literal law of krakoa is to make more mutants but non in the main cast have done so..
I prefer her older ngl
Feel better nut dude! Btw, bring back "Too powerful for the MCU! Also how about doing a new series on TEAMS that are waaaay too OP. For example. I'm going w The Annihilators. Now that Team is absolutely broken!
The thing I always found ironically ignorant about humanity and its hatred of mutant humans, is that humanity loses its humanity to cybernetics and/or genetic manipulation to become something capable of tackling the supposed "mutant threat" and its hilarious.
oh man you said peter petrelli that brings me back
i was pretty young when it came out so i didnt really get into all that, is that when they brought in the traveling carnival thing?
@6:37 love the heroes reference, really wish it ended better
Darwin and Sync are my new favorites!
All we need to do now, is merge Darwin, Synch, and Legion.
BISHOP and FORGE the two non-commercial characters always overlooked.
Day 9,956 of waiting for Beyond Omega Level Legion
I thought he did that already
Wasn't this already done?
Yes it was done. Plus rob is lazy unless he feels he needs to re do it he won’t.
@@theradicalbanana9476 no. He did too powerful for the mcu
@@Yardi22 no
This was awesome!!! The Children of the vault are new to me!!
When did Forge become obscure?
He builds and maintains the X-Men tech and is the reason Storm lost her powers.
You had me at Peter Petrelli
When Darwin disappearates into his ethereal form butterflies where shown I wonder MISTER M reference….. I understand butterflies represent metamorphosis but perhaps it was connection at power level
Forge wouldn't lose his intelligence he just wouldn't be inventing anything new.
Seraphina is indestructible huh? Magneto: " Hold my Beer"
I like the children of the vault stuff but what I don’t like is that there’s somehow stronger than all the reality warpers that the mutant‘s got. Also there all evil out of nowhere.
Yea it makes no sense. Aren’t they essentially mutants anyway? And all of a sudden all mutants are weak nothings compared to them? Even Odin and the Asgardians? They’re basically the mutants version of mutants. It’s pretty ridiculous.
Forge was in the XMen animated series....always will remember him.
Rob did you read the comic? honestly, Darwin evolved himself into a Digital entity he says so in the story, and being a digital construct the Vault can't touch him and he's not ready to leave.
"This isn't over. When you get to hell...I'll be waiting" is now my motto for 2023
Get well Rob!
I did like how Darwin was brought back here and how he was used .
Food for though, Sunch was instrumentsl in tmSinister's development of Chymeras. Itlll come back to bite them, but Synch also gave his genome sample to Herbert Wyndham to parley a draw against him.
I’m back from a long lay off due to health related issues. Feeling great now! Now to start up my request again. Bob’s Layton’s decade spanning Hercules in space would be awesome to cover. Goofy fun story, plus Galactus gets drunk. What’s not to like?
Adult x23 looks dope. I'm happy for my boy Sync🥲
Get well soon!
Finally putting respect on Forge's name
Children of the Vault: "We will torture you the end of your existence."
Darwin: >stops existing<
Children of the Vault: "... _wow that was quick."_
Darwin: _"Yeah my body tends to do that. :)"_
Rob you should read Reckoning War, Franklin may actually have his powers again (it’s left ambiguous and currently your FF kids have been removed from the comic for at least a year so we won’t know for a while at least).
Me too Rob. I got a headache and the poos.
Honestly this makes X-Men First Class even more offensive.
They killed off the one mutant that arguably match God, capital G God, pound for pound in abilities. _And they did it with a bunch of twirly energy._
...
It's been 11 years, and i will not forget what they did to my boy.
you are awesome Rob
for some odd reason darwin brings to mind a certain GGANTIC blue wang we all know and love
Im feeling the stomach bug too Rob
Got my stomach sounding like the Seinfeld theme song
Mr. Miyagi: "No be there."
Darwin: * *
Beyond omega level plastic man
Bud being Ben Grim strength is most certainly not the same as being Hulk strength
Did Havok just Peter Quill it up? Yes he did....
I Hope you have a Quick Recovery Bro!!! 👍👍👍
So Darwin has now achieved what Onslaught tried before the Heroes/Avengers showed up.
So we just gone act like Rob ddnt have to blur some ish out.. aight. Carry on
naughty bits lmao thats great
Darwin is literally the human amazo
A heroes reference, I must be old cause that filled me with nostalgia 😂
It sucks how they wrote off Darwin in that X-Men movie. "Adapt to this" So he probably did but he's not in that universe anymore. He's everywhere.
Random bad guys killing the entire universe/multiverse = every marvel story for the past 5 years
The vault makes it easier to make old man charcters. So that tells me maybe this battle world coming up might be the last multiverse cross over for atleast a couple years 2 -1.5 at max lol
Xmens version of The Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
I like how all these new X-men comics are Such and such takes over the world, Never mind that's just a new universe
Serafina is something, dang
Beyond omega level: the divine creator
"Galactus effect" is wearing me out bruh. I'm tired of writers in recent years going "hey check out group/person X. They're so powerful they can beat X famous hero/place". Like how many times have we seen Asgard destroyed? Kinda lame asgard has a worse record as gods than places like wakanda. Granted wakanda is the best the world has but bro They're still human. This applies to characters like galactus, wolverine, Thor, hulk, other "powerful" characters that take Ls for not justifiable reasons
Feel better rob!!
i feel like the children of the voult with their similarity with the evil reed richards version are coolest storyline in the krakoan saga
Darwin: Beyond BEYOND Omega level.
he's back
Sins of Sinister definitely served a purpose alot of wills and minds will be tested
Spoilers:
I hope it's revealed that Darwin is the Dominion, and not any of the Sinister clones.
U lying I thought It was a sinister that was a dominion?
I agree but why did he eat the mutants then 😂
Before I seen the video I asked myself it that Darwin??
I like your content a lot , never been big on comics and found a better half of both marvel and dc movies to be boring, but now it actually fascinates me ( still not re-watching any of the x-men , it’s garbage lol )
Anyways despite liking your content for a very long time, I don’t believe I’ve ever clicked a like button as fast as with this video cause I absolutely loved the Heroes reference during the description of Sync’s powers
