    Thanks Andrew for the excellent video. Couldn't make it this time to help out (and bring the average age down a bit!) like I did on your last visit. Good to see those perch are still thriving. We will be following up your recommendations in due course.

    Where have the Tench gone? The Pits were a great Tench water 40 years ago but I didn’t see one in the nets.

    Very interesting, apparently the older pits were dug for clay for bricks
    The later ones were dug for clay to repair the river banks in the area.
