This is true Kiwi Food. A mix perfect mix between western and maori food. If someone says NZ food is fish and chips+ marmite they are wrong because this is british.
just because it's sunny out doesn't mean the temperature outside is warm and toasty. depending on when this was filmed (and it seems recent), it would mean that when it's hot/warm in the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere would be cooler, which is where they are. the temperature was probably about in the 60s range (Fahrenheit).
