Would the baitcast rod be able to work jig heads and soft plastics comfortably as well? How light would this rod be able to load. Looking at lures which might be around the 2 to 3g mark.
hello, i've not used the cardiff ax before but ill try to answer based on product spec. cardiff series is designed for trout fishing. the rod will be more parabolic. this also prevents hook from ripping off the trout's mouth. the expride series is developed for predator species in asia. like skygazers, sebaraus etc. it will have more butt power. to imagine, if cardiff action is 5:5, i would rate expride to be 6:4. anyway, if u r based in singapore, these rods will be on display during our openhouse happening on 25-26th may. cheers, melvin

I saw videos and photos on forum members from Malaysia and Indo caught Sebarau/Masheer with those two product, they seems able to do undercast with ease and the rod load really well which is why it rise my curiosity if the rod is limber enough to load the micro lure especially fish on stream and tight place from inshore. I wish shimano would've switched the grip around on the spinning rods so there was a freaking handle where you would grip the rod at.

All the shimano rods are to short....for million of anglers.....they must be 7,9 or 8 Zoll....
There are all too short. Buy Majorcraft. Much more better..
