For anyone wondering, Fanatical currently has this game bundled for $7.50 but you have to pay at least $15 and choose 2 games from the "Build your own Prestige Collection" bundle. There's some other good games on there too. Hi-Fi Rush, Control ultimate, Dying Light definitive, etc. Star Wars collection is also a choice which is like 14 games by itself.
for those watching, definitely check out this method. found this echoed from a reddit post and it very much works. looks better than rtx hdr to me because autohdr selectivly utilizes P3/bt2020 colors for bright highlights while the rest of the scene is sRGB, where rtx only uses a saturation slider
think i noticed the hdr/sdr analysis graph is effected by hud elements. So probably best to hide the hud before checking black floor. I haven't tried that TRC fix, will give it a shot sometime.
after a few days of testing this is my preffered method to use HDR, no performance loss and you can use it in MP games! Tried this with STALKER Anomaly and it's beautiful, TRC fix to get proper blacks, however i found out that some games like Squad/EFT don't need TRC fix, maybe they use different gamma or have some weird filter by default Great vid as usual!
I love the content you keep producing. You've helped me understand HDR better and I've been able to get it to look good on my G2 for a number of games. I'd love a video or a section of a future video addressing the Lilium shaders failing to work sometimes and showing up with the (error) suffix in games. Also, are you planning to do a video on TLOU in the future? The game's HDR is a mess and nothing I've tried has given me a satisfying image. I can either make everything pop and clip everything or make it cap at 1000 nits and everything is washed out with 0 contrast. Sorry for the long comment. TL;DR: Love your content and keep it up!
The HDR analysis tool is hit and miss with AutoHDR, but the TRC fix doesn't give an error, and it works, so if you don't see black crushing when using it, then keep it
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I have an AMD GPU so can't try RTX HDR sadly. TLOU keeps crashing on me with Lilium shaders enabled which is why I need to rely on the in-game sliders which ignore Windows calibration.
Force Win11 AutoHDR with the Leodedge app. You can also try tge Native HDR with Mastering Peak Maxcll 10k and Tone mapping OFF but that doesn't look better than AutoHDR imo
The game look sick. Don't know why HDR is always a pain to work properly. I had several HD tv over the years and never once I had HDR work out of the box.

I watched your video regularly, always wanted to ask, what's the deal with this Yellow/green windows theme? Is this a personnal preference, or are there other reasons for that (I imagined, maybe to preserve your TV)
It's to protect my eyes from blue lights, it's a lot easier to the eyes, I could be working all day long with this high contrast theme without any eye strain.

RTX HDR looks better and doesn't need any fix, it also has more and better settings. But some games don't like when you add files into the folder so for those this Force AutoHDR method with the ICC profile fix I shared before is the way to go

In Watch Dogs 2 I get an error in Lillium's SDR Analysis even if I force AutoHDR or just leave it active in Windows. I tested Lillium's SDR analisys in Thymesia with forced AutoHDR and worked fine but in Watch Dogs 2 it gives an error. I haven't been able to find a solution. SDR TRC fix works normally in WD2 despite the error appearing in SDR analysis
The white subpixel washes out the colors, and that's the only argument against maxing out the brightness for the obvious benefits. I can use Brightness 50 peak brightness OFF Gamma 2.2
I've been messing with the C4, I'm testing gaming between picture modes: game, filmmaker, and vivid mode with allm on. All settings to Hgig with colorcontrol app and color set to warm 50. Game mode dulls colors, filmmaker regains color and an improvement in highlight brightness. I went to vivid mode just for fun with hgig engaged but noticed another substantial bump in brightness in highlights even over filmmaker mode. Been playing Ragnorak and noticing a greater hdr effect with vivid on with all settings matched between the three picture modes I've used. I wonder has anyone actually tested this mode which I believe allows the maximum peak brightness of your display with hgig engaged. The results were a significant inprovement to me. Would you be able to test this your C1?
The C1 only have HGIG on Game Optimizer mode but yes, Vivid and Cinema Home are brighter but the input lag makes them unusable for gaming because it doesn't have the ALLM that the C3/C4 has

That's because you're not dragging the right executable to the Leodedge app. These games, for some reason, have the actual real executable inside some folders where the installation is, rather than in the root folder.

I would try this: go to device manager and uninstall the GPU then download the latest Nvidia drivers and do a fresh install. If you want a shortcut maybe try the CRU app and hit reset and restart64. Make sure to have Gsync for borderless as well as full screen checked in NVCP

Hi, there is a problem with the game Remnant 2: this fix doesn't work with it. And sadly even more, ReShade crashes the game. Is there a different solution to force AutoHDR with this game? What should I try? (I'm playing it on PC game pass, and I'm using Windows 11 version 24H2)
gamma correction profiles will still leave Auto HDR looking more washed out than it should. They're only accurate for pure SDR content. this method literally changes the gamma, where profiles do not.
That's a bug, and that slider lowers (below 100) the peak brightness you selected on the HDR calibration app. It's not necessary to adjust it and it better stays at 100%.
I answered your previous comment requesting this and told you that the problem is I can't use the app anymore unless I pay for it (which I'm not doing). It seems like they patched the workaround I shared. I've answered more comments from you than any other. To say I ignored you is unfair, to say the least. You should try to do the calibration yourself to get the best results. The difference from panel to panel will make copying these settings pointless. It's way to subtle

All of the different inverse tonemapping options are very similar, this doesn't have the performance issues of RTX hdr and fixes the one major gripe with Windows AutoHDR

Plasma has made a video where he talked about this, he used a Reshade shader tool to remove HUD elements and fog in Lies of P.

I'm playing TLOU right now and using RTX HDR, the Native HDR is 10k nits so you could use Lilium's tone mapping to get 800
Lilium shaders give error when SDR, they're for HDR, not Auto or RTX

FPS=Hz for OLED Motion Pro high, 60fps/Hz, 100fps/Hz, 120fps/Hz.

This auto HDR doesn't work for me. When I slide SDR brightness down, it does get dark in game.

I went to local files from the steam settings. It takes you straight to the file where the exe is.
I see, that's weird, explore the folders to see if there's another one and make sure the AutoHDR box is checked

It should, download the Reshade without Add-ons support (not necessary for this TRC fix)
